This is the firs time I have thought the Pros was doing a poor job.

Without knowing why you feel that way, I think we need to remember that LDB can only cross the witnesses based on direct by the defense.

IMO, what she is doing is getting certain things on record and she will take them apart during the State's rebuttal.

what exactly is his fascination with the shorts? I mean what are the chances that he can get the jury to believe something other than the obvious, there are the cloths found with Caylee? How does the size of her shorts factor into his accidental death theory?

He's trying to say only someone who is unfamiliar with what size Caylee was wearing would put smaller shorts on her...big stretch cause he doesn't have any idea on what a child could wear as they grow taller but the waist, butt doesn't change...ridiculous theory..

IMO - When JB was questioning CA, at one point, he may have made a Freudian Slip? He pronounced the name Caylee, Keylee. Found it interesting.

Sorry, I thought she did a very poor job with CA. A whole lot of nothing to over come CA's incredible story about telling LE she thought Caylee had drowned.

in cross exam, LDB is ONLY allowed to question the witness on what the DEFENSE asked her in Direct. Sa still has their rebuttal, and can call & impeach CA and everything....but they just can't during Defense's case-in-chief......Make sense? Court rules....

I know Wikipedia isn't necessarily a 100% correct source, but from the Scott Peterson trial:

"In later press appearances, members of the jury stated that they felt that Peterson's demeanor—specifically, his lack of emotion, and the phone calls to Amber Frey in the days following Laci's disappearance—indicated that he was guilty. They based their verdict on "hundreds of small 'puzzle pieces' of circumstantial evidence that came out during the trial, from the location of Laci Peterson's body to the myriad lies her husband told after her disappearance." They also decided on the death penalty because they felt Peterson betrayed his responsibility to protect his wife and son."

This is why I'm really not worried.

Makes sense. I believe this jury in the Casey case will factor all of her lies into this. But the question is whether they will give her the death penalty or not. I doubt they will.
