HA! Apparently Dr. Furton missed the part where there was no salami!

How can a jury have confidence in their decision if they don't understand the majority of the testimony given?

  • #1,963
It bears pointing out all the competency talk has gone on outside presence of the jury.

The motion filed was an emergency order appointing experts for competency evaluation.

Pork and beef! yum...

  • #1,965
Did I hear "Dr.Vass"? Everyone drink just in case.

  • #1,966
I am wondering if KC wants to take the stand and they just wanted to make sure she is competent?

I think that to counter this man's testimony about the trash and the chemical signatures, the SA needs to show the outline of the child from the trunk liner and ask him if bologna and a velveeta box will normally take the shape of a small child in the fetal position. :maddening:

  • #1,968
There was no milk or cheese found in the trunk. What part of that does JB not understand?

Even if there was an entire brick of Velveeta in the wrapper - it isn't made from milk or dairy, lol. I think it's plastic...

  • #1,969
I thought there was no salami.

  • #1,970
Pork.....there's that bacon fat CIRCULAR ARGUMENT that certain unnamed parties were OBSESSED with on the forum.

  • #1,971
empty plastic salami wrapper smells like a dead body and is equal to the stench in that car? WTH is he kidding?

  • #1,972
The jury surely believes there was a dead body in the trunk by now.

Above BBM

I can't begin to count how many Dateline/48 Hours .....other TV shows like that......that show members of the jury months after the trial is over.

Those jury members are asked
"If you knew, during trial, that the defendant ___________ (<----- Fill in the blank), would you have voted differently?"

Those jurors always say Yes, they would have. The jurors tell the interviewer how they wished they knew about ______ and _______ and ______ so that they could have made a better informed guilty/not guilty decision.

Did all that up there make any sense?

Because I'm thinking, if the jury returns a lessor charge, are they going to be second-guessing themselves the rest of their lives because not ALL the bad acts concerning Casey and her Baby Daughter's death was able to be brought out at trial?

I know if it were me, if I found out after trial some of the things that are being kept out of this trial, more importantly, kept from the Jury, I would be livid for not knowing the full scope of this young woman's (Casey) actions!
It would weigh on me very heavily.

Gotcha... thank you!

I think I would have a hard time with that to. But if the DT, SA, the judge determine if is not relavent then technically it is not their call?

If they did let the jury know about psych evals etc before penalty phase many people would get a psyc eval and make a motion to attempt to get sympathy from the jury?

Do jail guards record progress notes about the mental health of inmates beyond what the are taking or not taking?

Could Cindy be using the psych eval to justify her lying, supporting ICA and making up the sexual abuse?

The clerk of court is directed to file the results under seal and keep the order confidential.

A plastic salami wrapper could contain the fatty acids contained in Dr. Vass' report?

Okaaaay.....

My hubby walked in the room, took one look at Dr. Furton and said, Is this guy an Academician? Can spot 'em a mile away, having sat through many boring lectures similar to this one!

  • #1,979
Furton talked about Velveeta and Oscar Mayer hard salami - says has same chemical compounds found in human decomp
