2025 Hurricane and Tropical Weather

I've been keeping a close eye on this storm. I live at the southeast coast. Erin is going to be major. Here's hoping it goes north and misses the NC coast.

If she goes on the current predictions... even New England is going to see some nasty weather....

The computer models across the pond here are in a bit of a fluster with Erin, projections are for it to cross the Atlantic later next week it'll just be an ex tropical when it arrives , but it's track is confusing, Dexter ended up dragging hot air over us,after initially having it bringing a spell of wet weather. will it be the same or most models are having it introducing a autumnal spell, we'll see.

Lots of maps for Hurricane Erin. Reminds me of Hurricane Dorian years ago. Enormous and ran along the coast.

Tropical Tidbits

Hurricane #Erin continues to track north of the Caribbean as a major hurricane. An eyewall replacement cycle (ERC) is in progress, causing a broadening of Erin's wind field and a weakening of the max winds to 125 mph. Some restrengthening may occur after the ERC completes later today or tonight.

Erin remains forecast to avoid a direct strike on any land areas, but a Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Turks and Caicos Islands, as rainbands on the southwestern side of Erin may bring periods of strong winds and heavy rain to the area tonight and Monday.

Well, once again we're sitting here wondering where Erin will hit. You never know. Regardless of what the weather men say, I've been here seven decades and have seen many surprises on where the hurricane actually lands instead of where it was predicted to land.

I’m watching this one closely. Looks like it’s headed to the gulf.

Invest #99L in the central Atlantic is being monitored for tropical development as it tracks westward toward the Caribbean, but its window of opportunity is rapidly closing. A surface circulation has nearly closed off, but intense easterly shear aloft is dislocating the mid-level wave axis from the surface trough. Combined with deep-layer easterlies and large-scale subsidence, the wave will likely be suppressed as it approaches the Caribbean on Sunday. The Lesser Antilles should still monitor the forecast for any changes this weekend.

Ex Erin isn't living up to the hype.

Fernand will be a fish spinner I think.

#TropicalStormFernand is expected to pass to the east of Bermuda. However, the Caribbean needs to be on potential storm formation alert as #Invest99L is already edging back to being on the cusp of being named again.

The remnants along with spring tides brought super surfing conditions along the North coast of Devon and Cornwall but also red flag warnings for rip tides.
