7/23/2010 Lisa and Hank Croslin Arrested

  • #301
If I am not mistaken, a person on probation can be in violation just for being in a drug house (or at a party, or whatever) where drugs are being sold or used, etc. It has not been shown that Lisa went into the house, but possibly she drove Hank there and did it knowing drugs were sold there. Lisa can claim she knew nothing and if LE cannot prove otherwise, her probation violation charge will likely be dropped. JMO.

krkrjx, I was thinking the same thing until I read this (I hope the link works). She may be going away for a while.:

"Based on some statements she made, she knew the purchase was taking place and she actually admitted to throwing the crack cocaine out the window trying to dispose of it as officers made a traffic stop," Griffith said.

Am I understanding this correctly? Lisa's drug charges were dropped?
But since she was arrested her other case was re-opened? Since the drug case was dropped will she be able to get out of jail on Aug 17th?

Lisa Croslin will also be in court on 08-17-2010 with Hank Sr. He will have his ARRAIGNMENT that day on the drug charges.

I'm not sure about the drug case so this is only a guess, but I would think she will have to serve the remaining time on her probation in jail. But its all JMO

I have know a few people in FL who messed up on probation and they have had to serve their time in jail and then no more probation unless the original sentence was so many days in jail and then so many years probation.

:waitasec: I was assuming that since her drug case was dropped then how will the State be able to claim she violated her probation? If there are no charges? So confusing...:banghead:

Very good question, Madjgnlaw. I guess my next question would be: Is the status being 'closed' the same thing as charges being 'dropped'; and if so, why wasn't she released when her bond was posted? LOL, I'm as confused as you are. :banghead:

Maia, just guessing here, a case that is closed on a docket, can mean they have been sentenced, or there was not enough information to proceed. In Lisa's case, it appears to be dropped. While on probation, they are not to associated or be around drugs/drug dealers, etc...so she did violate her probation that night. Hank Sr. is the proof of it as he is going to court for it.

Could also be a curfew she has to follow. I don't know her specific terms of probation but usually all people on probations are not to drink, do drugs, be around either or their probation is revoked. No guns either.

Remember that's a guess.

Hi peli!!!

Hi peli!!!

Thank you, Dr. Know, that makes perfect sense :). I knew there had to be a logical explanation but for some reason it totally escaped me. With all the drama going on with these people in this case, I'm surprised I'm not locked up in a padded room. :bang:

Here's a general probation guideline with link.

To avoid a violation, a probationer must support dependents to the best of his ability, not associate with people engaging in criminal activity, submit to and pass random drug testing, not possess a firearm and not use intoxicants in "excess." All probationers must pay monthly fees to their supervising court. In addition, any new charge of a criminal offense is grounds for a violation.

BBM (Last sentence)

Hank has already been arraigned. An arraignment is usually within the first 24 hours after arrest.

Hank was arrested on July 23rd and had his first appearance (arraignment) on the 24th.

From his docket (BBM)
07/27/2010 1 ARREST REPORT - PPD OFF/HAGER (ARREST 7/23/10)
07/27/2010 1 BOOKING NUMBER: 10-3155
07/27/2010 1 PURCHASE OF COCAINE WITHIN 1000 FEET OF CHURCH
07/27/2010 2 DEFENDANT PRESENT FOR FIRST APPEARANCE HRG 7/24/10

But yes, Hank does have Court on the 17th. Also from his docket:
08/10/2010 7 NOTICE TO DEFENDANT (08-17-2010) IN JAIL
08/12/2010 8 ORDER ALLOWING PUBLIC DEFENDER TO WITHDRAW AND
08/12/2010 8 APPOINTING REGIONAL CONFLICT COUNSEL
08/12/2010 9 NOTICE TO ATTORNEY (08-17-2010)

It appears as though there was a conflict with the attorney that was appointed to Hank and he was appointed a different one.

I wonder where she went? did she just take off walking?

  • #314
We know she was scheduled for a court appearance today, anyone know the time?

Her most recent arrest record shows CASE CLOSED (drugs). Her prior records are still open showing NO BOND. Since she has no bond on these, she can't be walking free unless a judge let her go. :waitasec:

I'm still confused why (and how) her bond was paid on the drug charge? Why pay that when she's can't be released on the other charges because of the parole violation? :shakehead:

So this is what I see, the purchase of cocaine case is closed.

Two other cases have been reopened. These are the ones with NO BOND, parole violations, originally were theft and forgery charges where she was given 18 months probation.

It says "general release" for Tommy's recent release from Putnam County when he was transferred to the prison system. Odd.

Just a rant here... but I hope they both do a bunch of time in prison. It's sickening how some parents are on dope during their children's formative years and then later whine and wonder what happened. If what all Flora says is true they should have been in jail long ago, but so many of these types get away with it and continue to harm society through breeding and having kids then grandkids. What happened to Haleigh probably goes back years to what those two were up to and exposing their children to.
