I note that this expert appeared to drive a bus through the Ds previously claims that the phone was off and turned back on at 4.30am?

So of course, as you can't drive a car to the murder scene, how did the phone get their with no recorded steps or activity?

MOO
They couldn’t tell if it was in airplane mode? If it had been, would this have affected the steps and or activity? Not moo - asking.

Sounds like the bodies were not there until after 10 imo. Moo.

I was thinking to myself why would someone keep a cell phone there let alone attach headphones to it for 4 or 5 hours.

Easy enough to just turn it off or toss it in the creek like those clothes.

But then I remembered - nothing about the crime scene makes any sense at all really either. We have two girls killed next to one another with one fully unclothed and the other dressed in some of the other's clothes. Larger sized clothing I might add - not to mention both were posed or staged a certain way with branches on the top of them that barely concealed anything. Lastly, one girl bled out completely whereas the other had very little blood on her - why?

Someone connecting head phones to a cell phone mightn't be that unrealistic you know because nothing about the crime scene itself really makes sense.

Kind of hard to believe that's really all they had
To the detriment of their client IMO.

Why, of why, did they not leave the unsupported by evidence fanfic about investigated and cleared individuals to the side and concentrate on KAK, or the unknown mailbox guy being in the area possibly sneaking about for example. Unreal IMO.

If the State's rebuttal is concise, they could end today too. We could have a verdict by the end of the week, perhaps. Good.

I really expect this to be a protracted deliberation. If I had to bet, I’d take some point next week.

Steps are measured by the accelerometer. It's like a gyroscope in your phone, the same gadget that tells your phone if you turn it sideways and rotates the screen accordingly. It is not affected by your connection to the network.

That was it!!? Well I think the Prosecution should be next with some rebuttal testimony...maybe not as there's not a lot to rebut. So no inmates testifying on the stand? What was that all about then? Ridiculous, MO
I'm thinking the Defense thinks it has enough for appeal, so might as well just get the conviction over with and move on. Just a hunch.

The crime scene makes perfect sense if you’re talking about a mentally ill killer under the influence of alcohol.

I'd say 3-4 days, only because I believe JG might start urging the jury to produce a verdict if it takes any longer. Based on nothing but my own opinion

I don't understand. They haven't shown that RA wasn't there? He has no alibi. Have they poked a lot of holes in the prosecutions case?
They've not really said much IMO. Even the confessions... he could have still done it and prison and guilt just exasperated the confessions.
Technically, couldn't the defense have rested after the prosecution presented their case if they were confident? MOO

Full-day Thursday and Friday. Jury might ask to work a full day Saturday. Sleep on the decision Sunday. Make final call Monday.

I could see it going longer than that, though.

Or just an inexperienced, anxious killer who is acting out in a very reactive way, rather than having genuine confidence and control.

Amateur hour.

I don't think they need an alibi. They need for the jury or someone or two in the jury to not believe his confessions or not to trust that the state focused on RA to the exclusion of other possibilities and for those jurors not to budget on their opinion.

And no indication that she was still certified for Cellbrite.

9:36 A.M.: DEFENSE RESTS THEIR CASE

News 8’s Kyla Russell confirmed the defense rested their case Wednesday morning.

The defense only took six days to call forward 22 witnesses to present their case.

Russell reports that court is in a short recess while the prosecution builds their rebuttal.

The next step in the trial is closing arguments from the prosecution and defense, then it will turn to the jury to make final decisions.

This information is breaking and will be updated shortly.

Yes, all of the above. If you have confidence control, and experience, you don’t commit a crime as insanely risky and chaotic as this one was.

They also will be motivated to go home. I am NOT suggesting they will rush their decision as I don't think that at all, but I do see a jury willing to roll up their sleeves and get this job done. They've paid close attention and will enter the jury room informed and ready.

But, now that I think about it, they might want to review tapes and that is time consuming.

Idk, the one basic burning question was never even breached. If RA wasn't at the trails after 1:30, where was he? Why leave that hanging for the jury, give them something right? He went to the store, another park since it was such a nice day to have off in the middle of Winter, He went home and fell asleep. But he'd have to testify to that huh, or KA would have to, IMO, lie and say he called her from wherever and she didn't do that nor did RA's Mom or daughter.

So still no alibi, only confessions of guilt to his family, his doctor and his original statements to DD. RA is still on that bridge, down the hill and at the crime scene, by his own words. I believe him AJMO
