That is correct. YesAm I correct in remembering correctly that it was after the video image of BG was released that RA called in to LE to report he was on the bridge?

Not at specific times. His memory changed after he became a suspect.RA provided the information himself.
Holy crap the defense kicked off the day resting?
Funny how that happens. Not at specific times. His memory changed after he became a suspect.
He changed up again and told us in his confessions where he was.Not at specific times. His memory changed after he became a suspect.
Why didn't prosecution call her as a witness?
Of all the witnesses she is probably most qualified to articulate his actions and disposition in a reasonable timeframe before and after the murders occured.
They were still living together right?
If the state, judge and jury was caught off guard about the D resting so soon, that's kind of unusual----usually they'd be updating every morning about how many witnesses remain, so the judge has a way manage the time. If it was a surprise, that could be one of two things.

We are close. Finally.
How are we feeling?Yep.
This has been such a strange trial. Like soft night-music after all the noise of the investigation and pre-trial preparations.
I expect a guilty verdict, which will hopefully provide some limited relief to family and friends, but I wonder how that will be taken by those who've followed the case for years.
Setting aside whatever it was the D were trying to accomplish, was the state's case conclusive? Did it show that BG must = RA, and that only BG/ RA could have committed these brutal murders? Did it provide an account of a careful, meticulous investigation that correctly identified the perpetrator and then assembled and presented irrefutable evidence of those claims? Are we now satisfied BARD that RA is the murderer of A and L?
IDK. I've followed this case for a while, though not nearly as intensively as some here. I don't have any stake in the D zealous advocates /D scoundrels debate and just want to see justice done. Not sure how I feel about the trial we've watched unfold over the past weeks.
Soz for the real-time ramble -- still digesting today's events.
I wondered that as well.Amazed the defense didn't call any of Allen's friends or work colleagues to testify what a stand up fella he is?
Maybe he isn't?

This was a strange element of the case. If the confession about Richard Allen seeing the man driving the van is true, it makes it even stranger. The confession makes it seem like he did not want to be seen by the man in the van.Yes. Photo of BG was released on February 15, and RA tipped himself on February 16.

What is even more interesting is that if Richard Allen had seen the photo of BG put out on February 15th, I am surprised he was so confident that coming forward would not lead to law enforcement looking into him. At that moment in time, how would Richard Allen know that there was no way the photo could be enhanced to see the person's face or determine the person's height in the photo? He had to suspect the still photo came from the phone of one of the girls based on his walking across the bridge. My guess is that he was trying to get ahead of being questioned. That would make some sense.
It was a very strange risk to take that seemed to work for about 5 and a half years. The only reason it took 5 and a half years was because the tip got misfiled and lost.
I recall some discussion about character witnesses a few threads back. Are there legal conditions under which they can be admitted? I can't recall what we learned in the discussion.Amazed the defense didn't call any of Allen's friends or work colleagues to testify what a stand up fella he is?
