My guess is her parents had a little celebration
Certainly heaved a sigh of relief, I'm sure.

The jury was barely out of the courtroom and this is the first thing on her mind. :banghead:Jodi Arias Trial - VERDICT - YouTube
Looks like JA says to JW "Jen remember I have that interview". I think DT knew it was going to happen IF she didn't get M1 they probably would have allowed it. Idk.
:giggle:
I used to like DD. But no more. Ain't nobody got time fo dat!
The "Deal" with Troy she speaks of, is they met and bonded back in January 2013 (developed a rapport) And she made a deal with him that if she was convicted she would give him the first interview immediately following her Conviction (1st degree) If she was convicted of lesser charge she would do something else...
So time passes, now she is convicted, so she is sort of saying "I don't really want to do this, but a deal is a deal, I did say you can have the first interview right after my conviction so you better get down there fast if that's what happens"
And the rest is history!
I just mentioned to my DH a couple of days ago that Dr. Drew seems much more hysterical lately. I think it is his "handlers" coaching this. They are going after the Nancy Grace, Jane Velez-Mitchell crowd. Too bad.
IIRC, I seem to remember reading somewhere that Dr. Drew is not a psychologist. He is an internist.
"Oh, poor Jodi," <Sigh>. "Now, where would she have hidden that surplus of food she tweeted about?!?" :floorlaugh:

Arias premeditates EVERYTHING in her life ...The jury was barely out of the courtroom and this is the first thing on her mind. :banghead:
Jodi and Darrel Brewer
The sheriff said it was arranged through appropriate channels so I don't think it's something he didn't know about.
I don't see it as a "priority," just something that was arranged through proper channels.
The sheriff is very accommodating to the media, and it's not like the judge had ever, in over four months, even shown a minor sense of urgency about anything.
I don't think any of it is that big of a deal. Inmates give interviews all the time.
ETA - apparently Judge Stevens DOES have an issue with this
Your right about her artwork. I'm not sure where receiving donations to her commissary account would fall. And how about donations for your legal appeals? It's an interesting question. Maybe one of our lawyers will weigh in.
The "prison industry". $$$ I heard about this a few years ago. Freaking scary. There was one story, I think from Texas, about how one judge was bribed by a private prison owner (I know I am getting the titles wrong) to send minors to some kind of detention facility/prison for rather minor, non-violent offenses. The judge got kick-backs from the prison owner.
I'm one of those that's really in debt. I have been since my Mom's dementia got so bad I had to quit work. There are times when I'd welcome jail to pay my debts. Nobody would want anything from me, I'd be undisturbed and maybe I wouldn't have to cook and do laundry all the time! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
I suspect today's "sealed hearing" was about the Convict's interview after the verdict. I did catch Beth Karas saying that the Maricopa Sheriff's Office's Public Information Officer (the head honcho) was seen leaving the courtroom. No doubt Judge Stephen's was interested in just how this little interview was allowed and was making sure such things did not happen in the future. That's my guess anyway.
I saw an interview with Sheriff Joe the day after Jodi's interview. He said (basically)"
"Everyone here knows I have an open door policy (regarding media) If the media follows the correct procedure and the inmate wants to see them, then they can."
It sure didn't sound like this was an isolated case that anyone needs to get to the bottom of. Unless Judge Stevens has issued a gag order (which she hasn't) I don't think anything Jodi says comes under her purview.
Jodi has 1st Amendment rights, if she's following the rules and she wants to sink her own ship, why bother stopping her?
Gently snipped by me.
...during her post-conviction interview, poor little thing mentioned how distasteful it is to look at TA's kin because they all look so much like Travis, which reminds her of all the abuse she suffered. :laughcry:
