Hold on a cotton pickin minute!! DNVs possessions were removed from her apartment? In August? When she was missing a couple of weeks?
We’re they just tossed out or is someone caring for them?
This entire situation was described in full detail in thread 2. Long story short. JDT entered apt allegedly to remove furniture and other items that belonged to TT shortly after DNV went missing. They allegedly had to wait for the 'eviction' to happen in order to get DNV items (this eviction process didn't appear to be by the books in most peoples opinion). It is believed that the Sheriff 'put out' DNV's personal effects to the curb and they then could have been taken by anyone. It is believed that JDT then took the items that had been removed from the DNV apt. and put them in a trailer or container on her property. This all allegedly happened within 14 days of DNV going missing so people on WS generally doubted that proper eviction procedures (30 days non payment of rent and a formal eviction order has been obtained) had been followed and that the family simply ransacked the apartment in advance of police investigating the apt. and doing their complete analysis. It also seemed suspicious that the security deposit for the apt wasn't mentioned and the family didn't seem to attempt to negotiate any type of arrangement with the landlord due to the special circumstances.

So, the outrage on WS about the situation was that the 'family' has raised nearly $5,000, TT was allegedly living in the apt and a few months rent could not have been paid to keep the apt intact in the event that DNV is found? The other issue is that the status of the cash found in the apt is unclear as are any valuables as JDT, possibly TT and friends entered the apt in advance of police search and CSI team going to the apt.

Not sure what MPD was doing here to allow this to happen but it sadly did happen and the 'family' simply erased DNV's apt and all her belongings and by all accounts took her cash as well. But this is the same MPD that has allowed the Mobile 'family' to take control of DNV social media so I'm not sure what is going on as this does not in any way seem properly respectful of a missing person as the people undertaking these activities are not blood relatives. Who is looking out for the rights of the missing DNV?

I would feel much more comfortable if any money raised by the Mobile 'family' were under the control of MPD for the reward or CrimeStoppers as there appears to be little in the way of accountability thus far with the money raised.

Why did MPD appear to do nothing to protect the interests of DNV and safeguard her apt contents and assets? Situation seemed totally shameful IMO.

@cedgison questions for you;

were TT living together at DNV's apartment at time of disappearance? I understand he was in jail at that moment, but had he been living with her? Which jail was he in?

was the newborn's bio father still in DNV's life?

Unfortunately, I do not have answers to these questions. I need to catch up, though (it’s been a busy couple days), so i’ll Try to get clarification on those, as well.

The MCSO “put out” occurred in the 2nd or 3rd week of September so the 30 day period had occurred.

Having TT exact whereabouts proven will help resolve a lot of hearsay. If he was in jail there should be proof somewhere.

Ty Atticus, I came to this after those threads and played a loose catch up. Frankly given who surrounded DNV in her life, I’m surprised she succeeded as much as she did. JDT talks out both sides of her mouth and JV was more concerned about a hurricane Florence. Poor Danni, the cards were always stacked against her

personally given all the aforementioned I wouldn't blame the girl if she had just walked away and had planned to do so for quite a while.

As always hoping for the best fearing for the worst

How is it known she left cash in apartment?

JDT said in one of the early interviews with MSM... it was one of the reasons she said DNV wouldn’t have just left.

Seriously, I completely agree with you!!!

JV refers to DW as DNV's "best friend" and that she (JV) and DNV were "connected at the hip".
I wonder why she didn't try to keep the apartment (for when her daughter returned), with money she raised? Or, at least come and retrieve her daughter's things once she was evicted... I don't know. I guess I am just thinking more of what I would have been willing to do for any of mine.

I feel like this girl was really on her own. :( Both sides of her "family" acted as if she was not coming back pretty early on IMO.

I am giving JV a pass until we know more from LE. JV is DNV's next-of-kin and blood relative, and LE may have told her much more information than has been released to the public. If LE told her they think they know what happened and they are working on building the case, they may have asked her to not come to Mobile since there's nothing she can really do. As DNV's next-of-kin and the only adult family member of the victim, she would be consulted by the prosecutors in any prosecution and likely informed of any significant developments before the information was made public.

She has made comments about LE sending evidence for testing, etc., after the JCD raid that we may have assumed but was never confirmed.

JDT statement and LE statement.
Glad to know that the "cash left in apartment" was one of the LE facts. There are so few LE facts which makes me think maybe we need a list of "What We Know as Reported by LE and MSM".

Check back in the this thread. Someone did a fantastic job with this the other night and we just might need to add a couple of things to the list.

I've seen NO information stating that DNV drove her car from Dublins to Ollies. I've not seen any statements- which I'm entirely open to read if they're out there- about the events that occurred prior to the Shell station. I would actually like to know whether LE said anything about the events prior to the Shell. Here's what I've found post-Shell.

Official LE statement- "...she was occupying a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz."

07/20- wkrg.com- "...may be driving..."

07/20- AL.com- "...was last seen Tuesday riding in a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz."

07/25- Fox 10- "...last known to be occupying a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz..."

08/02- AL.com- "...was driving a blue 2014 Chevy Cruz."

08/02/18- MPD- "last known to be occupying a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz.."

09/06- The Truckers Missing Child Project- "...last seen Tuesday riding in a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz..."

09/24- AL.com- "...was believed to be driving..."

It looks like to me, again I'm open to sources stating otherwise, that all recounts of "DW's story" have only been relayed to MSM sources THROUGH family.

"Family members say Vian went to The Dublin Pub & Eatery on Old Shell Road the evening of July 17th.

They say she left there with a friend in separate cars to go to another establishment....

Family members say the friend said Vian got in her car, and that was the last he saw of her." Fox 10

That is one of the HUGE problems with this case. Facts are very very few.

Facts:
DNV bought a new car
DNV took the night off to celebrate with friends
DNV was at Dublin's
DNV was at the Shell Station
DNVs GPS shut off
DNVs car leaves Shell
DNV was wearing a Mellow Mushroom Shirt

Not Facts but hearsay from "friends" or family:
DNV was at Hero's
DNV hung out with RC at Hero's
DNV was with MK and DW at Dublin's
DNV left phone at Dublin's
DNV followed DW
DNV flashed DW
DW went to Dublins to search for phone
DW thought DNV was following him
DW retrieved phone
DW waited for DNV
DW went to Ollie's
DW turned in rental car
DW went home
TT was in Jail
TT was in Rehab
TT was in a facility
etc and etc and etc ......

Bringing these two posts forward for focus as we actually know very little 2 months into case. The MSM post just previous to this one is also interesting as the press did next to nothing to verify/confirm in an independent way any of the statements made by the Mobile 'family'. My guess is that the press wanted to keep following the case but LE was locked down with no information and no press conferences.

See last 2 posts. Feel free to cut and paste and expand the lists as I think your idea is excellent.

Okay- building from @3dzer0's post

LE gave a press conference on 08/02/18. (I believe this is the approx. 30 min. PC that has been asked about a couple of times. The video itself is about 30 min., but the PC is less than 10 min.)

Notes on PC content
At 17:49- reporter asks LE to expand on his comment regarding an infant child. He says 4 months, but corrects it to 4 years. Possible slip referencing newborn?

At 18:40- reference to people go missing because they want to go missing and just don't want to be found at the time.

Around 22:00- they've had good cooperation from people and some not so good cooperation. No elaboration of not so good cooperation.

Around 23:00- no evidence of foul play at the time.

Around 23:45- reporter asks when in the convenience store, did she use a debit card. LE says as part of the investigation, they would not release that information.

Around 24:00- reporter asks if LE feels she's missing at her own will. Responds that it has happened before, but they just want her or whoever is associated with her disappearance or someone who knows something to come forward. Does not want to say anything specifically because he does not know.

Around 25:00- reporter asks about cell phone activity. LE can't release that information to maintain the integrity of the investigation.

FACTS
  • DNV was occupying 2014 Chevrolet Cruz with a green and white Pearl Motors tag. (Confirmed via Pearl Motors FB page and LE's blog.)
  • Pearl Motors website states they've been in business since 1966. They finance and advertise "your credit is good at Pearl Motors". Anything confirming DNV actually bought the car, either through financing/cash, or was it just the last vehicle she was seen in? It appears all recent articles have moved away from her owning and/or driving the vehicle.
  • 07/20/18 article states Vian was last seen riding in a deep blue 2014 Chevrolet Cruz w/a Pearl Motors tag.

  • DNV took the night off to celebrate with friends. We know she was out with friends, do we know for sure she was scheduled to work that evening?
  • DNV was at Dublin's- articles/evidence to support this? I know we have the timeline, but reports all say "family members say..."

  • DNV was at the Shell Station- was the surveillance video removed because it was actually not related? Again, LE states last known whereabouts were 3500 block of Government. I don't see anything that states her vehicle ACTUALLY pinged at the Shell station- only that she was seen "on surveillance" at the Shell. Reporter states last time she was seen was on a grainy video that can't be shown. Has LE made a statement saying the Shell was the last known location?

  • DNVs GPS shut off- one report that the GPS was TURNED off. Not disabled. Not malfunctioned. This report does say they know she left Dublin Pub, stopped at the closed Shell station w/a friend in another car after realizing she left her phone, the friend left thinking she was following him back to Dublins, DNV stayed at the station for another 20 minutes with a 3rd car then both cars leave. This does seem to follow the Shell station surveillance footage.

  • DNVs car leaves Shell- see above article re: GPS.

  • DNV was wearing a dark-colored Mellow Mushroom Shirt, a light-colored hat, and black legging style pants w/a light-colored shirt tied around her waist. (Confirmed via LE's blog.)

Great summary!

Add: Timing of JDT Drop off of DNV at Pearl Motors per MSM: MORNING
LE Homicide Group takes over case and says No Evidence of a Homicide

Homicide detectives take over case of missing Mobile woman

There were 2 detectives that spoke with the press after the Dykes house raid and JCD arrest. Two short clips from LE.

BREAKING: MPD searching Theodore property linked to Danniella Vian case

Comments from JV:
NEWS 5 EXCLUSIVE: "If anyone can find their way home, she will"

LE Comments after Dykes Property Search and JCD arrest:

· We did not find DNV.

· We don’t know where she is at and so we are not going to exclude any possible lead and anything that we can get for information we will pursue and continue to see if we can explore and find her whereabouts.

· There is a correlation between this property and DNV and that is why you will see such a response.

· We are treating this as a possible homicide but we have ruled nothing out at this time so long as DNV is missing we are going continue this case and continue to keep this case open and we will continue to run down every lead.
