If we believe DW, then the reason he pulled into the Shell station is because Danni flashed her lights in relation to the missing phone. Everything he did after that is related to searching for a missing phone, and then searching for the owner of the phone. After 3 days of no contact with the owner of the phone, he phoned JDT just before he submitted the phone to police.

It seems too coincidental that a random bad guy opportunistically saw her at her only vulnerable moment, disabled her GPS and then she and her car disappeared. Seems far too organized for a random event.

JDT said that Danni and Car 3 left in different directions and that her car when to a heavily populated area. Assuming that DW is telling the truth, why did Danni go from "driving" her car to "occupying" her car at the moment that her GPS is disabled?

If this is not a random event, then either Car 3 had access to her GPS, or they followed her from The Dublin. Her car was easy to spot with the paper tags. Danni may not have been driving her car when it left the Shell station. The two drivers may not have gone in the same direction, but Danni was occupying one of the two cars.

Per JDT, DW contacted her the morning of 7/18 and let her know he had “some girl’s” phone & made additional calls to her each day until 7/20 when he met her at the police department.

Hold on a cotton pickin minute!! DNVs possessions were removed from her apartment? In August? When she was missing a couple of weeks?
We’re they just tossed out or is someone caring for them?

They were legally removed in September.

First we were told they were put on the curb by LE. Then it changed to JDT has them. So who knows. I am just outraged that three weeks after missing DNV’s home was dismantled.

They were put on the curb by LE and JDT got them from there. This was done in September, though.

This entire situation was described in full detail in thread 2. Long story short. JDT entered apt allegedly to remove furniture and other items that belonged to TT shortly after DNV went missing. They allegedly had to wait for the 'eviction' to happen in order to get DNV items (this eviction process didn't appear to be by the books in most peoples opinion). It is believed that the Sheriff 'put out' DNV's personal effects to the curb and they then could have been taken by anyone. It is believed that JDT then took the items that had been removed from the DNV apt. and put them in a trailer or container on her property. This all allegedly happened within 14 days of DNV going missing so people on WS generally doubted that proper eviction procedures (30 days non payment of rent and a formal eviction order has been obtained) had been followed and that the family simply ransacked the apartment in advance of police investigating the apt. and doing their complete analysis. It also seemed suspicious that the security deposit for the apt wasn't mentioned and the family didn't seem to attempt to negotiate any type of arrangement with the landlord due to the special circumstances.

So, the outrage on WS about the situation was that the 'family' has raised nearly $5,000, TT was allegedly living in the apt and a few months rent could not have been paid to keep the apt intact in the event that DNV is found? The other issue is that the status of the cash found in the apt is unclear as are any valuables as JDT, possibly TT and friends entered the apt in advance of police search and CSI team going to the apt.

Not sure what MPD was doing here to allow this to happen but it sadly did happen and the 'family' simply erased DNV's apt and all her belongings and by all accounts took her cash as well. But this is the same MPD that has allowed the Mobile 'family' to take control of DNV social media so I'm not sure what is going on as this does not in any way seem properly respectful of a missing person as the people undertaking these activities are not blood relatives. Who is looking out for the rights of the missing DNV?

I would feel much more comfortable if any money raised by the Mobile 'family' were under the control of MPD for the reward or CrimeStoppers as there appears to be little in the way of accountability thus far with the money raised.

Why did MPD appear to do nothing to protect the interests of DNV and safeguard her apt contents and assets? Situation seemed totally shameful IMO.

LE’s “put out” of DNVs belongings took place in September.

One explanation for the money is that DNVs previous car was totaled, the money could be attributed to a payoff from the insurance company. Just a thought.
Does anyone know the type of car totaled?

Mobile woman missing for 43 days now, fundraising events planned to help family

JDT mentions homicide detectives may have additional video of DNV that they haven’t released in the article above:

Quoted from article:

According to police, she was captured on surveillance video leaving, but where she went next is still a mystery.

"Homicide is looking into that. They say they may have some more footage of her but they're not ready to let that out, so we really don't have a starting point to look," Thomas said.
It bothered me how quickly this family started fundraising and monetizing her disappearance. I know families need money in these situations but how much is necessary? I’m sure they raised quite a bit with everything so why the small reward offered for her?

Opinion - That MPD Site is a bad joke like the facebook pages. I hope they are really working hard on gathering evidence and solving this case.
I couldn’t agree more. I have a feeling this case is going to stay cold for a very long time. Unless le can get someone in there that gives a damn! It seems like no ones too eager to find answers. Why is this case being swept away?

Can someone PLEASE tell me if it is verified fact from LE or MSM that the GPS was turned off. I know we all spent 3 threads discussing this, but I just don't believe it happened. I want LE or MSM confirmation only!!!! I really think this was a wild goose chase of fabrication to make something else seem like something it wasn't!!

I think she just didn't have active GPS, and it was turned into, she turned her GPS off 10 minutes before she disappeared.

I may be wrong, but I believe that LE stated to MSM that they had Pearl Motors ping her GPS, and the last ping location was at the Shell Station. ......There is a link to that floating around this thread somewhere....back in Thread 1, I believe.

Opinion - This case should have had a well broadcast sizable Crime Stoppers reward( 5 grand or more for arrest and conviction) early on. Something big enough to get people talking and possibly bring in a truthful snitch.

I agree that the ping happened, there was a link that LE pinged the GPS, which we all agreed could be done even if the OnStar was not activated, right?..... HOWEVER, nothing, zero, nada from LE about the GPS being disabled.

I believe I read somewhere it was the same type of car as her new one. Chevy Cruz but I do not remember the year.

Even if Danni did not have a subscription, the OnStar system would still collect and transmit data. The only way that it would stop transmitting is if the OnStar system was disabled or damaged.

They system worked and pinged at the Shell station. After the Shell station it was damaged or disabled and no longer transmitted data. Therefore, something happened to the system at the Shell station to disrupt data transmission.

"OnStar has begun notifying customers that it may continue to collect and use information about the vehicle even if the customer terminates his or her subscription.

In a privacy notice that will take effect this December, OnStar said that it would collect data as long as a data connection was active, including such details as the location and speed of the vehicle, as well as such fine-grained details as the odometer readings and tire pressure.
...

The data collection can be halted, but OnStar must deactivate the data connection. "Unless the Data Connection to your Vehicle is deactivated, data about your Vehicle will continue to be collected even if you do not have a Plan," the privacy policy states. "It is important that you convey this to other drivers, occupants, or subsequent owners of your Vehicle. You may deactivate the Data Connection to your Vehicle at any time by contacting an OnStar Advisor."

Whomever was with Danni at the gas station deliberately disabled or damaged the OnStar system to ensure that the car could not be tracked. I'm assuming that any carjacker would know this. What I don't understand is why a carjacker would also kidnap Danni.

The exact LE quote is "The GPS last pinged at the Shell Station." So the last place they can place her per GPS is the Shell Station. That lead all of us to conclude that the GPS was either disabled or malfunctioned at the Shell Station or shortly thereafter.

In the very beginning we all looked at maps to find bodies of water she may have driven into that would cause the GPS to stop as well. There didn't seem to be anything big enough to submerge a car that close.

I just don't know if I can get on board with the GPS being intentionally disabled or damaged, I'm filing it in the maybe (has some potential to be true) file... Although at this point I think every single thing I think I know can go into that file....

If I'm coming across argumentative I don't mean to be at all, I'm just really frustrated and annoyed with this ENTIRE case. I need the gif back of the emoji slamming his head into a brick wall!!!
