Do you know which side of the lake they are on?

I honestly am not sure, but I'm guessing they were on the side closest to Cottage Hill Rd. If you look on Google maps there is am Armstrong McCall Beauty Supply store there they could have used and it looks like that could have been where they shot from. MSM stated the car was found near Joy Springs Dr, which is directly behind the FedEx Ship Center and you can tell from the shape of the parking lot on Google Maps that this was where the vehicles/LE were located during the removal.

I believe TXEQ has been contacted regarding DNVs case but, as with any effort to get her name/story out, the more people that contact them, the better.

I reviewed the TXEQ website and request must be made by family member and/or LE. There is an online request form, that looks fairly simple. They require the approval of LE. Do you know if they have formally been requested by the family? If so, how far in the process? Are they waiting for a response from TXEQ? Is TXEQ waiting for a response from LE?

That's the incorrect location, The location is the south side of the lake beside ABC Beverage Wholesale.

I’m not sure how in contact they actually were - if just on FB, I wouldn’t really consider them “connected” or their relationship to be good. I have over 1,000 friends but definitely wouldn’t consider myself “close” with that many. I know that giving custody of CT to JDT was to keep JV away from CT. So, if she was in NC in December 2017, maybe she was trying to give JV a chance?
If she was there over the holidays 9 months ago, I would definitely consider them “connected” JMO.

I don't think there is enough direction or evidence in the case for them to get involved, but it never hurts to ask.

Also I’m not sure why JDT and family is saying the MPD is shying away from searches... me and a close friend following this called the detective ourself and he said he’s encouraged searches.
I’ve seen somebody else say this same thing in a closed FB group.

I asked our VI as she previously stated they have been contacted. Just curious if there has been a response.

The issue is there are no related locations to search, as in a search party.

The reason why is from the location of the Shell station DNV could have traveled in any direction. I-65 North or South is easy access, I-65 South to I-10 then East towards Pensacola or West towards New Orleans is easy access, Hwy 90 East towards Downtown Mobile or West towards West mobile, Theodore, Tillman's Corner is easy access.

Where would a group or someone even start to search without wasting time and resources?

If she would have been anywhere else in Mobile you could maybe guess at a location to search. But the Shell station is centrally located with multiple directions to go with infinite areas to search.

Trust me I absolutely understand that it feels like no one wants to search, but that is far beyond the truth, everyone is willing to search but have no place to search.

I agree about The Smiths reference but wouldn't think that the group was of her generation. I know other bands such as Pearl Jam have done covers of the song as its a classic of its genre. So maybe she heard it covered by another band. Double check me but I recall a picture of the other shoulder and I think she has same tatoo there but I haven't seen tht same picture I'm recalling in weeks.
I obviously can't speak for her, but I'm about the same age, and I know it from The Smiths.

I think the frustration is more with someone saying "LE told us not to search" instead of your more reasonable answer that there just aren't any leads right now for where to search.

I'm sure this was done in the first weeks but walking the close highways and streets around the Shell leading into Dauphin street would have been my best guess of where to look for evidence. Maybe her wallet was thrown out of a car. We've seen that in other cases where a good samaritan or a searcher finds evidence on a highway divider.

Three months later I don't know how effective that would be.

You took the words out of my mouth.. it has been said on fb and also in thread 2 by our VI that they were instructed to not hold search parties.. maybe @cedgison can confirm.

@cedgison You previously posted a search company (Kids something) was working with LE to begin searches. Has this happened? Can you provide an update?

No, MPD still will not allow Klass Kids to come in.

This is correct. LE is not allowing civilian search parties.

I wouldn’t. I have family I only see/talk to once a year. They have no clue what goes on in my day to day life.

ETA: And some of them are FB friends.

Interesting. I’ll have to check into this.

JDT & a friend have searched on their own. They started at the Shell and expanded from there, including the lake that the car was pulled from today. They have also -on their own- searched other places in town and haven’t found anything.

LE has told JDT that they don’t have any clue/idea of where to search and that’s why there aren’t organized, LE directed search parties (civilian or LE alone).

I don't understand how that could be true if they were able to tell JDT they were able to continue tracking her through surveillance to the point where they parted ways. Why wouldn't they in general start canvasing neighborhoods and such in the general "parted ways" vicinity?

LE has never alluded to where that location is, that location could simply be the Shell station as far as we know. The quote from JDT was they split ways and DNV went towards a more populated area .. (Which could be any direction)

This entire case is a game of telephone. Lol
