March 8 or August 3?
Good question. Regardless, Danni's GPs was transmitting from The Dublin to the Shell station. I wonder if they have tracked any other OnStar customers taking the same route and the GPS not being disabled at the Shell station.
Yes, that black box thing that was in Danni's car when she drove it off the lot earlier that day was not in her vehicle at 11:24 PM on July 17.
Who knew that she had a new car? Who knew that the new car had a GPS?
Who could have been in Car 3?
The black box in an airplane does continue transmitting, even from the bottom of the ocean for a time. The OnStar GPS in Danni's car should have tracked her car from the Dublin, to the Shell station, and then to the next destination. Even without an OnStar subscription, the car dealership could track the car.
There's something about disabling her car on the spot at the Shell station between 11:08 and 11:24 that is somewhat spectacular in terms of on-the-spot knowledge and skill.
The problem is that a signal from Danni's car was transmitted until she was at the Shell station at 11:08, and between then and 11:24, it stopped working.
Who was with her at the Shell station after DW returned to The Dublin to collect her phone? Who would have a reason to follow her from The Dublin until she was vulnerable and alone?
I mean, we have no right to the information if it's not public. And that's fine. But I work based on evidence. I shared the custody litigation because I thought it provided us with more evidence about possible areas of strain in DNV's life. I looked for some remand or sentencing document so I could prove TT was in jail or a court-ordered secure facility and we could all move on but I do not see anything in the public record. I mean he was arrested for another crime while in a halfway house so I think it should be pretty obvious why we are asking if the "rehab facility" was secure and court-ordered or not.
My heart goes out to TT as he's obviously struggling with addiction. It is a disease and it takes a village to stay clean and sober when you have addictions. I hope he can continue to put his sobriety first and become the parent his daughter needs.
I hope it's clear that no one here is asking these questions to be a jerk. Many of us have our own struggles and we understand the hell substance abuse can be.

It seems to be more than addiction. Perhaps someone can correct me, but I thought this was something like dealing heroin
Correct. @Alethea alluded to this issue in comment above about TT being arrested for another offense while in a halfway house. It seems to be more than addiction. Perhaps someone can correct me, but I thought this was something like dealing heroin
I think your range of possible motives is spot on. I keep going back to the Chief PC and how he almost seemed to be speaking to someone specific in his commentary. I wonder if someone or a gang possibly carjacked DNV because of a debt owed by someone close to her that for whatever reason wasn't getting paid? Maybe drugs or Maybe gambling? Pure speculation on my part. But I keep going back to your original idea that someone was either meeting her at the Shell or had been following her from the Dublin and so thought she might have been carjacked for something that someone else did? IDK. Just a theory. And you absolutely succeeded in exposing the strain in Danni's life in relation to the father of her daughter. The father accused her of being an unfit mother on the basis that she tested positive for cannabis during childbirth. Since that is not normally tested during childbirth, I'm going to guess that she confided in him and he used it against her.
The question of motive is still in the air. Was this about custody, the car, a young mother, a drug deal? So many questions.
I’ve never struggled with substance abuse but I can see where knowing for sure/having proof would ease everyone’s minds. But we wouldn’t be able to have the rehab admission/release dates per HIPAA. JDT may not, either, unless he signed a document stating that she could be given that info.
This situation is turning into a farce IMO. The idea that basic facts such as those you mention in your post cannot or will not be confirmed by the Mobile 'family' lead me to seriously question whether they want DNV found? None of these questions are particularly difficult if the top priority is finding the missing person IMO.Proof of what?
Proof that after TT was released from jail in mid-June he was not in communication was anyone until 2.5 weeks ago when he was release from "rehab"?
In his rehab (where is that?), are there uncontrolled incoming and outgoing phone calls? JDT called TT on July 18 early morning, and TT called DW right away?
Apparently TT knew on the morning of July 18 that Danni is missing, and according to his mother, he is in mourning.
I wonder why he thinks that she is dead.

I’m going to bed. Y’all have fun continuing think I’m withholding info. I’ve given you what I have and then some and it’s not enough.

Also I believe he was at the first vigil, very early on. I will go back and look. But if anyone remembers, please confirm.
For me it is a matter of likelihood. @Alethea pointed out it would be quite a coincidence if DNV's GPS malfunctioned around the same time she disappeared. Not saying this is impossible, just saying it is unlikely. I am not a detective but I try to think of what makes the most sense when you look at the different options. So for me it seems more likely the GPS was purposefully disabled. The question for me is who did this.
@adot0902, I'm trying to understand your point better about the GPS as I'm a bit confused. You are saying that the GPS pinged for the last time at the Shell station. Right? Is your point that we simply don't know what happened to the GPS at the Shell station or even after the Shell station? Or is your issue that we don't know which system was pinged? Is what is bothering you all the various assumptions that have been made in thread 2 and 3 as to what could have happened to the GPS at the Shell station?
There are many problematic issues with the GPS issue in general. IMO the most basic is which GPS system are we talking about? In my mind the only thing we know for sure is that OnStar was factory installed on her car. Whether it was activated we don't know but the Pearl website and the GM website talks about 6 months of free service for used car purchases. But, even if the OnStar wasn't activated by Pearl/DNV the possibility exists that LE working with OnStar might have been able to access the OnStar system to confirm the ping location that was supposedly made by Pearl Motors.
Even though we have the Pearl Motors statement about the ping as reported in MSM we don't know if Pearl installed another system to track the car as this question was never asked by MSM and LE never articulated which system was pinged in order to get the last location as being the Shell station. In thread 2 I mentioned looking at many comments by Pearl Motors customers about GPS that was added to their car to track it for repo purposes (so, it seemed a reasonable assumption to think that Pearl added a system to DNV car but we never knew anything had been added based on a LE statement). We also never knew if Pearl Motors installed a separate system to track DNV car as it had OnStar.
This entire discussion was frankly quite frustrating as it would be quite easy to simply pick up the phone and call Pearl Motors and ask about the GPS system. As far as I know this was never done by JDT/FB Group and we simply got a series of random statements about GPS/LoJack (I tremble as I type this word as it was a huge waste of time IMO)/OnStar. IMO the entire GPS question could have been resolved weeks ago but along with so many other basic facts we simply have the very basic statement from LE about the last ping location as the rest of the GPS comments were frankly not usable.
It seems like post-Shell station we sadly don't have much info: Even though we have MSM reporter that saw the video say that DNV left driving from the Shell station we have no LE confirmation of this fact and LE stated that 3500 Block of Government Blvd was where DNV was last seen. I cannot enter the fray on discussion of FB comments about additional information of DNV direction heading toward midtown/downtown etc. as there is no LE confirmation and so falls in the category of a waste of our time IMO.
You hit the nail on the head, when you typed in LoJack. I'm mostly frustrated with the fact that is definitive that the GPS was disabled or somehow tampered with when we have 0 evidence that happened. Law Enforcement could have pings elsewhere, and not be telling people as it was suggested a little further back, which I never thought of but is an excellent point. I just think we wasted so much time on a disabled GPS when that is in no way been confirmed. It's just frustrating being told something as a fact then it turns out to be entirely untrue. I just don't want to get stuck on the fact this happened when it's entirely possible it didn't happen. I don't claim to be an expert on "pinging GPS" but to my knowledge from all of our great sleuths OnStar doesn't track your cars exact location unless you have the new OnStar family plan, so what events cause a ping? Is there a reason other than disabled that it stopped pinging, could the car just have been left somewhere?
Disabling the GPS makes it sound so nefarious, when in all actuality we don't know that that happened.
To be honest I'm just tired of this Danniella being painted in a negative light, I feel that it detracted people from getting involved, and we later find out it's a bit more complicated than it originally seemed. That's all!
