Hello Chelly, Althea, and everyone. I just discovered that Danni had been found....... I too am curious about how her MIL and the family is reacting to this..... If this was a homicide for real, I sure hope they get those who did it...... Yall please keep sharing any local info on this case.
Hi Cody, Good to see you back here. I, for one, will continue to post.

The car being in neutral can indicate someone pushed it and they will be able to get an idea of how many miles it was driven before ending up there since she had just bought it and the miles on the car at sale would be recorded.
Yup. Lots of clues right there on the vehicle. I'd like to think LE already has a suspect.

I just assumed the window was pulled down by LE in an effort to drain the car. How do they drain a car in this situation?

At the very end of the last PC, Safety director Barber said "We have to drain the car before we remove her body."

Maybe I'm naive, but if the window was always open couldn't her body have floated out? They were clear even before removing her car from the water that there was an adult female inside. How were they so sure?
Maybe the body inside looked like an adult female

RSBM for focus

Perhaps the perpetrator(s) did not put her in the trunk because they wanted to make it look like an accident.
Agree, and probably made sure she was securely buckled in the driver's seat.

To drain the car they just let it sit so that the water can flow out of it naturally. The back window on the driver's side was only halfway down, so an adult body would have had a tough time fitting through it.

This is something I didn't consider at all and you are absolutely right. LE should be able to somewhat account for some of her miles from the purchase of the car, to the bar, to the Shell station etc. The mileage could also somewhat indicate a timeline, if her car had a lot of miles on it the less time it could be sitting on the bottom of the bayou.

Great points. Hopefully they will also be able to see if the GPS was manually (physically) disabled like we talked about early on with pulling plugs or removing the lo-jack-style tracking device from Pearl motors. If everything’s in place and it seems to have just malfunctioned that adds to the mystery too.

Also maybe they recognized her clothes if they were on her body.

Considering the interest in DNV when she disappeared, I am very surprised there hasn't been more activity here upon the discovery of her death. I haven't followed the family's FB which was very active. Does anyone know if the family is posting?

I’m shocked too. While the public family led group is still up, JDT’s FB has been deleted.

Can’t wait for John Lordans follow up, I believe he had JDT on previously...

Bump for Danni and Justice for her.

With the discovery of DNV, I'm wondering if she deleted it due to being inundated with messages and requests. Can't say I'd blame her.

We have so many puzzle pieces that don't seem to fit together. From the beginning, many of us have wracked our brains nonstop over DNV's case. Conflicting accounts, false alarms, answered questions leading to bigger questions. She has finally been found (presumably), but I'm still at a loss. I have my own theories based upon what I've seen and heard and read and re-read. I hope that MPD can figure this out, completely and totally. I just wanted to jot down some of the nagging questions I've had in the last couple days, many of which I'm sure have already been mentioned here, but still:
  • How long has the car been in the water? Can that be definitely determined?
  • What did the dive training scout see that sparked his interest? How was that missed by other boaters over the months if the car has been in there the entire time?
  • Was the rear window down when it entered the water or it did it come down during removal?
  • Was the car in drive? In neutral?
  • Where was the body positioned in the vehicle? Were any of the seatbelts fastened?
  • Did the body have any indication of injuries? Blood on the seats? Clothing present?
  • Are MPD really treating it as a homicide "just in case it is" or was there something more that made them think it's definitely criminal in nature?
  • Is the tracking device present on the vehicle? Was it fully removed? Did it just malfunction?
  • What is the mileage at? Did the car go straight from the Shell station to the boat ramp?
  • Was there any pre-existing damage to the vehicle prior to removal that could have occurred before the car entered the water? Any way to actually be able to tell that?
There are many more questions rattling around in my brain, but that's a nice bulk of them. So much is off with this whole thing. She leaves the Dublin to go to Ollie's, allegedly, but she ends up at the Shell on Government with DW for God knows why because there have been so many different "explanations," despite the fact that she knew how to get to Ollie's (and it was literally just a mile or two around the corner.) And now for all we know, after leaving the Shell to actually go back to Ollie's, she ends up off of a boat ramp in Saraland. All of this after her GPS mysteriously quit working at the Shell on the car she just bought that day, via malfunction? Via removal by her? Via removal by somebody else?

Can someone refresh my memory on this: was the GPS truly disabled or is the Shell simply the last ping LE is verifying?

I'm mostly curious where the GPS being disabled narrative comes from.

The car dealer is the source of information that the GPS was disabled when the vehicle was at the Shell station. The link was posted way back in the beginning.

A couple of things I may be able to answer ..

"What did the dive training scout see that sparked his interest? How was that missed by other boaters over the months if the car has been in there the entire time?"
From the information, I was told is that the scout was checking out the area to find points of interest for the divers to train on. By using a depth finder he noticed an anomaly that would be good for training. I am sure they were thinking a sunk boat, large log, etc at the time. Other boaters most likely would have not paid it any attention that close to shore especially with the water 20 to 30 feet deep.

"Was the rear window down when it entered the water or it did it come down during removal?"
The rear window would have had to be down when the car went into the water. The windows on this car are electrically operated and could not have been rolled down during recovery.

That is the only 2 things I can really answer at this time ....

I couldn't agree with you more .. There are by for too many twists, turns, lies, and coverups in this case to have a definitive answer to what happened..

Just an observation/question re: the down rear window. Could someone have rolled it down so they could push the car into the water? Put the car in neutral and push it down the ramp, for instance. I’m just curious. Thanks! jmo

BBE. Disagree. JDT encouraged and entertained FB posting when DNV was missing. Why isn't she still there for her now? Speaking for myself: watching and waiting.
