We have so many puzzle pieces that don't seem to fit together. From the beginning, many of us have wracked our brains nonstop over DNV's case. Conflicting accounts, false alarms, answered questions leading to bigger questions. She has finally been found (presumably), but I'm still at a loss. I have my own theories based upon what I've seen and heard and read and re-read. I hope that MPD can figure this out, completely and totally. I just wanted to jot down some of the nagging questions I've had in the last couple days, many of which I'm sure have already been mentioned here, but still:
- How long has the car been in the water? Can that be definitely determined?
- What did the dive training scout see that sparked his interest? How was that missed by other boaters over the months if the car has been in there the entire time?
- Was the rear window down when it entered the water or it did it come down during removal?
- Was the car in drive? In neutral?
- Where was the body positioned in the vehicle? Were any of the seatbelts fastened?
- Did the body have any indication of injuries? Blood on the seats? Clothing present?
- Are MPD really treating it as a homicide "just in case it is" or was there something more that made them think it's definitely criminal in nature?
- Is the tracking device present on the vehicle? Was it fully removed? Did it just malfunction?
- What is the mileage at? Did the car go straight from the Shell station to the boat ramp?
- Was there any pre-existing damage to the vehicle prior to removal that could have occurred before the car entered the water? Any way to actually be able to tell that?
There are many more questions rattling around in my brain, but that's a nice bulk of them. So much is off with this whole thing. She leaves the Dublin to go to Ollie's, allegedly, but she ends up at the Shell on Government with DW for God knows why because there have been so many different "explanations," despite the fact that she knew how to get to Ollie's (and it was literally just a mile or two around the corner.) And now for all we know, after leaving the Shell to actually go back to Ollie's, she ends up off of a boat ramp in Saraland. All of this after her GPS mysteriously quit working at the Shell on the car she just bought that day, via malfunction? Via removal by her? Via removal by somebody else?
