I, for one, would love to hear your theories!
I am wondering...you say RC is 'quite vocal'
I've been wondering about DNVs friends....there has been nothing in the media
Thank you for being here
I’m sorry I am new to websleuths and how to use it! The part about RC being vocal was my reply to another another post but I somehow removed the quote ending. I can confirm RC has communicated with my daughter some and through another girl... I sincerely apologize about my accidental removal of the quote in that post.

No worries! We have all done it!
You mentioned having theories. Can you post them? I know it is hard when you are new and worry about TOS but as long as you do not give names and do not post rumor you are usually okay. We all really appreciate having you here.

one question we have to answer is .... Who gains by Danniella not being around? Well to me that is the family of TT... one theory is ... let’s just say someone who is close to TT is becoming worried that Danniella is proving her ability to provide and care for CT to the point of eventually having her daughter full time... what if JDT was just talking to members of her family discussing the above and someone acted on it ? Without her knowledge...

Theory 2 ... her baby being adopted by a member of law enforcement... I have heard adoptions are not legal in Alabama for 6 months.... what if this is a reason for her disappearance? Without FBI or an outside agency investigating how will we ever know... especially since no updates and the video being removed!

Adoptions are legal at birth as long as the birth mother and birth father (if known) provide consent. There are certain situations that will allow them to withdraw that consent once given, but you have to have a pretty darn good reason for why you're withdrawing it. Also, if a birth father was not properly notified of the adoption, he has the option to contest the adoption.

Is there a 6 month rule at all? Does anyone know if the father consented ? Still odd to me ....

Just for reference AL Code § 26-10A-16 states that the adoptive parents must file a petition for adoption within 30 days of the adoptee being placed in their custody.

I don't have a lot of experience with family law, but in doing some research it looks like the adoptive parents file a petition within 30 days of receiving custody. Unless previously waived or consent has been implied, notice of said petition must be served on the biological mother and biological father (if known). AL Code § 26-10A-17

The Court shall set a disposition hearing no later than 90 days after the petition is filed, unless the pre-placement investigation is not finished- they will set a hearing within 120 days.

In order to receive a final decree of adoption, the adoptive parents must have had physical custody for 60 days, unless the requirement is waived for good cause. AL Code § 26-10A-25

From what I've read, the adoption is not considered relevant to DNV's disappearance. There is not very much information available and I'm not sure the baby's father is known.

No disrespect but how can we be sure what is relevant and what is not ? No updates! No Car! No Danniella!

I agree. I've seen it asked numerous times.

This is and will always be at the top of my list of questions. And I agree that only one group of people benefits.

Alabama is considered one of the friendlier adoption states for adoptive parents. Harder for bio parents to change their minds. The only real challenge would be if DNV stated unknown for the bio father. If he found out after he might be able to contest.
Have you heard anything about the bio Dad?

I'll have to go back and look for sure, but I'm fairly certain that bio parents have a year post-final decree to contest the adoption.

The timing really does seem strange- birth on June 6 (right?) and around the time a bio father should be receiving notice of the petition she just vanishes....I really hope that this has been checked into.

There is a one year time frame, however the birth parents would have to prove fraud, duress, mistake or undue influence. From the sounds of it, DNV was all-in on the adoption.

Yeah, but was the father?

I'm not asking for names, but do people know who the baby daddy is? Of the recently adopted baby, not DNV's first born.

Thanks otto. Not much more we can do at this stage is there?

There is more to do.

Questions are:
  • what is her legal name, Nikole or Nickole?
  • where was Danni last seen? Just the facts.
