There are 2 groups but I don't know the name of the second group. JDT has just been blocked from the one group that was named on this thread earlier today as the consensus was that she wasn't being honest and had questionable motives and was seen to be working against finding DV. People also were very concerned about the granddaughter and asked about the legality of the custody arrangements and JDT got very defensive and wouldn't answer any questions about granddaughter or her son who now appears to be missing or at least not part of the picture. Not sure what is going on but situation appears volatile. I think I am stepping back until the police make some statement as if JDT doesn't have DV welfare as her primary motive then I'm reluctant to try and help find DV at this point. Just my personal view. Situation is very murky between no info from LE and questionable motives from JDT and TT. What do others think about what is going on?

She was blocked as she blocked an admin, wouldn't answer any questions and so her motives were questioned. Her sincerity and motives appear questionable at best IMO.

So is TT missing as well as DV?

TT is supposedly in 'rehab'. Not confirmed by LE. Whole situation is becoming a bit of a farce at this point. Not sure but I think I will step away until LE makes some kind of update statement.

I agree with you unfortunately.
It doesn’t seem the family wants to help as they are withholding so much VITAL info!
My guess is they are trying to protect TT - not find DV.
I’m gonna guess this case goes cold and she is never found... without anybody there to keep her spirit alive, she will just become another Mobile statistic.

Ok.. so hypothetically speaking.. where could we take this case if we knew...

1. The homocide detectives pinged her vehicle after the shell station (I.e. they have a CCTV that puts her at another location after the gas station)

2. This is being treated as a criminal case not a missing persons case.

3. DV was not married to TT - she may have been a victim of domestic violence.

Just some random ideas I thought of.

I know #2 for sure - this is being treated as a missing persons case still. It was just handed over to the homicide division because homicide has 6 detectives whereas the missing persons division only has a receptionist/clerk.

I posted earlier about the situation with information on this case. I personally feel uncomfortable with the overall situation as the non-birth family (trying to find an inclusive term to use so people know what I mean and this was the best I can do) doesn't seem to be cooperating with public search questions at all. Its impossible to know the reasons for this situation but I find it uncomfortable to work on a case where I don't get the sense that the people involved have the best interests of the missing/victim person at heart.

As one example of a very basic question that the non birth family wouldn't answer was whether DV was married to TT. Birth Mom said there was no marriage and multple other friends agreed. But yet we see JDT identifying herself as DV mother in law in MSM and at the Vigil. JDT has been unclear as to TT being in jail and so its been impossible to find where he was held and for how long. We don't know whether TT and DV were together on the night of her disappearance. TT was supposedly at the Vigil but the available footage doesn't show him. He might have been there but we don't know.

I do think it could be helpful to tweet to MSM and LE and govt officials to ask for additional resources for this case as I fear for the life of DV which is why we have all been involved on this thread. I hope LE are able to find DV one way or another and provide some peace of mind to her daughter. There is an investigative reporter for Channel 10 whose name I think is John Alexander that I am going to track down and see if he will get involved.

I was thinking that on many threads people have stated/wondered if suspects visit this site to get a feel of what people think happened. Sounds like JDT is going on lots of sites and trying to sway people's opinions. MOO

Yes it seems that way. I wonder if they are being threatened and so are just afraid for some reason. Its been a long time since I've seen a missing case where the birth family isn't involved. This case is odd for any number of reasons IMO.

Exclusive: Surveillance video may show missing Mobile mother

If you could add this station to the tweet list it might help. Ask them to repost the CCTV so we can understand what happened to DV that night. This station has been active on the case but hasn't asked any probing questions or done any investigative journalism IMO.
