I think this woman should serve prison time. However the presence of certain mitigating factors (groomed as a minor, clinically low intelligence, severe abuse are a few I've thought about) may reduce her culpability and therefore her sentence. Her actions were reprehensible and perhaps she was an informed and willing participant in all of the abuse. But until all of that information is available, I'm still considering that she may have been a victim of horrors herself in that household. It doesn't excuse her actions, but it should IMO affect her punishment as deemed appropriate by a judge/jury.
While I somewhat agree with you, I think that nevertheless she needs to be sentenced to prison for the rest of her reproductive life because she is simply incapable of protecting any human she reproduces. And I don’t think she is capable of doing what is necessary to prevent a future pregnancy.

That's an excellent point, just like some other egg donors who singled out one of their children & killed them. Jerice Hunter (Jhessye Shockly), Lina Lunsford (Aliayah Lunsford), JoAnn Cunningham (AJ Freund), Leilani Simon (Quinton Simon). I could go on, the list is sadly long ...

I’m curious where she was when she received this message? Has anyone seen information that indicates she was working outside the home in this time period?

I’m thankful the two were stupid enough to exchange the messages, without them LE would have suspicions but not enough evidence to arrest.
At the time Wendy Bailey supposedly worked at the town landfill.

Bailey admitted to “failing to intervene on more than two occasions that Khaleb Rowan Collins was physically abused by torturous means such as being bound with rope, physically assaulted, and being bound by a rope from a loft with blood and bruising present.”

She claimed Collins sent her text messages saying he was going to kill Kahleb and then sent her pictures of him “hanging aloft with a rope with blood present on his body and a photo of Kahleb Collins lying supine on the floor with extreme bruising present on his body," the complaint said.
[snip]
According to the complaint, Bailey told investigators that “upon the death of Kahleb Rowan Collins his body was placed into a bag and stored in an outside storage building for a brief period prior to disposal at an unknown location.”

CBS 42 reporter's short interview with Steven Collins' cousin.

it's got to be difficult for the extended family to discover along with us what those babies suffered in that home. I feel for them. I've never had a family member close or extended who has done such a thing and I am not sure how I would wrap my head around it if confronted with such news.

Im sure every woman and child in that household faced violence. In that sense she likely is a victim of abuse.

But this is absolutely unacceptable, the abuse she likely endured should not be used to shield her from accountability in the death of her kids, especially Khaleb
YES. I'm sure she was abused as well. But at some point, the earlier the better, she and her Dad and children could have gone to the police station or a pastor or a hospital, and reported the husband for abuse. She had pictures and evidence of abuse on the children.

WHO CARES if she lost his financial support or he would be very angry etc----there is a point at which you must STOP the abuse. That was her ultimate responsibility, even though she was young and a battered woman herself. That is not an excuse once you've seen images of your baby hanging from a rope.

CBS 42 reporter's short interview with Steven Collins' cousin.

SBC's cousin said "I won't say shocked".
I'm curious why she said that?
Was it an open secret in the family that abuse was going on?

I don't think there was anything wrong with Kahleb, I think the father made it all up and mom went with it. I also don't know if the mom wasn't abusive as well. I don't feel bad at all of this mother, the father and the grandfather. God bless those babies. IMO
I wonder if he was Kahleb's biological father

That thought crossed my mind too.
WB became pregnant again soon after RC's birth.
Nothing would surprise me though about WB, SBC and JEB, nothing.

Has anything been reported on who watched the children while WB was working?

Trying to find an approved link, but there is a heavy police presence at the house and new crime scene tape up.
I hope that she talked.
IMO.

She is speaking to LE determining they presume Kahleb is dead. She has been following along just like us with the search, John's arrest, etc. Were WE shocked when LE declared Kahleb is dead? I certainly wasn't, even as I - like this woman - hoped for a better outcome.

I do find it interesting that the only person in Steen's family they could find who would talk about him and this case was a cousin who recalls him when they were kids. Tells me she hasn't been a part of his life more recently.

We know from a previous article and Steven's own FB that he and a brother were estranged and he claimed his family had "thrown him to the wolves"

Very intuitive. You’re correct.

Something tells me "thrown to the wolves" might translate to "stopped putting up with his mess." MOO.

HL was is heartbroken but not really shocked. I don’t think there was an open secret of abuse but he did have a certain type of character that was openly known. That’s why most people distanced themselves from him.

I just looked and zilch.
IIRC: They had brought in the dogs for the first search.
I don't know if that was just for the property and not the residence.
