Actually, the saying is the LOVE of money is the root of all evil, not money itself.

That saying gets mixed up all the time. There's nothing wrong with money - it's the love of it that is the problem, making it into a false idol.

I don't know if the love of money was the Duggar's downfall. Pride might have been their bigger weakness. IDK.

So the Duggars don't love money? I can't come up with any other reason why they would subject their family (especially the victims!) to this kind of scrutiny- knowing what they knew about the crimes their son commited. I don't believe the parents are naive. They could very well have seen this as an opportunity to "spread the word", but heck- with the risk of having their "secrets" exposed?? I can't believe pride was a factor in accepting a TV show...and getting paid to do so. They must have thought they did a good enough job in burying Josh's crimes. IMHO

Fox News announced that the interview would air during The Kelly File on Wednesday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET. Additional portions will also air during a one-hour special on Friday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET.

You just know lots of promises were made to snag this interview. It will be softball questions and won't include any confrontation at all. They will have a platform they can use to lie and paint themselves as a Godly family who dealt well with a "problem" in the family. And people will buy it. Ick.

Correct! The article is fake. There was a similar fake article that circulated using the same fake names of the CNN reporter and CPS person, when the mother slapped her son for participating in the riots.

I highly doubt CPS will conduct any kind of investigation, unless there are new allegations.

Also, a lot of the mandatory reporting laws are fairly new. They can differ state to state. I have no idea how the law was written in Arkansas, when these offenses occurred.

As others have mentioned, I highly doubt that the truth was told to anyone at the time and it was most likely worded as Josh having impure thoughts/actions, which in their sect could translate to failing to look away when you see some uncovered legs.

Ugh!!

I'm so stupid right now! You're right. The mandatory reporting laws likely weren't in effect!

For some time, people have been alluding to these allegations online. Apparently not was a slow news week, so InTouch magazine decided too see if they could verify the rumors. They filed a Freedom of Information Act request, and got the heavily redacted police report.

Yes, I believe it all started when an instagram picture posted was posted from a lesbian couple kissing in front of the Duggar house, which started because of a robocall from Michelle to the community that gays, transgenders are child molesters. When this couple received or heard about the call, under their picture they mentioned something about the community knowing about the Josh's molestation rumors and cover-up for years. A reporter from InTouch posted a request to contact them, from what I read this couple helped InTouch get the paperwork together via FOIA request.

If you google image the search - intouch duggar robocall - you'll see the instagram conversation.

so wrong on so many levels molestation is never ok for anyone no matter what. so sick that he did it to his own sisters and they were led to believe they were at fault.

i was sexually assaulted when i was in my last year of jr high school ( 8th grade) this boy would say some nasty things to me i spoke up and told someone. principle was an a hole and didnt want to do anything and one of my classmates called me a ***** for reporting him. my mom had the option to press charges and he was informed that he could go to jail but my mom being the nice person she was decided that as long as he was being delt with at school she told the principle off she would not press charges but if it continued she would go to the police

Thanks to all who let me know National Report is a Satire.
I should have known it was too good to be true.
Sorry, though, for not checking that source.

I'd like to know the betting odds on Jim Bob's good friend the State Trooper - the only legal authority figure mentioned - who is now serving time for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, the leader of the Quiverfull movement - accused of sexual molestation, the discipline tutors - also investigated for child abuse, just randomly being in the same circles.

I mean, I'm sure there are plenty of us who - unknowingly - interact with child predators in everyday situations. Maybe we cross their path when we get gas, or buy groceries.

But what are the real, statistical, odds, that this family has unknowing interactions with so many predators?

I hope I'm not crossing a MOD line here, but...

Mike Huckabee has form here, too. Is animal cruelty OK if you are a good, Christian, man?

These waters run deep. And murky. IMO. Just look at the UK (my home country) Jimmy Saville child abuse scandal. There are Government figures involved now.

No need to apologize I thought it was real also and was hopeful that those children would finally have an opportunity to gain a voice

As much as I dislike Faux News , I can tolerate Megyn Kelly ( and hottie Shep Smith). So I've decided to watch the interview, although I dislike the Duggars as parents. I hope Megyn doesn't disappoint me and softball the questions. I really don't understand why they are getting paid for this interview, greed?. I don't expect the interview to change my opinion of the parents or Josh, I'm just curious how they will try to spin it to the public. Wonder if Hucklebee will be there for " support" Why isn't Josh going to be there? He's an adult, he can't speak for himself? JMO

Is is common practice for major cable news outlets to pay for interviews? I know Dr. Phil does, but I think that's the only way he can get guests to appear.

My sentiments exactly!

But the Duggars are famous for more than just their assembly-line reproduction methods. They’ve also made it their business to tell anyone who will listen, and a good number of people like me who would prefer not to listen, how to run our lives. Wives must obey their husbands, and when you’re not cooking or cleaning, you ought to be giving birth.

As far as they are concerned, the rest of us are spending eternity roasting marshmallows with Beelzebub, while they’re going to be up in heaven at an invitation-only Duggar Family Reunion Jamboree.

Reading about the child molestation allegations against Josh Duggar, it occurred to me that this country is divided into two distinct groups. There are the “preachy” types, who want to dictate to everyone else how to live their lives, and the “preached at” types, who just want to be left the heck alone. We don’t want to be told what to do, and we have even less interest in telling others what to do.

...

Nobody’s happy that this happened. But we’re frustrated that it always seems like the folks who walk around parading themselves as paragons of virtue seem to be — big surprise! — the ones with the most skeletons in their own closets. Preachy types in our society always believe in swift justice, as long as the person swinging at the end of the rope isn’t them, or a close family member. Then, they suddenly get soft on crime.

Again, an interesting cognitive decision making process.

-Hm let's see what the facts are here.
-Yes, Jim Bob.
-Our dearest son Josh molested his sisters and another girl.
-Yes, Jim Bob, he made a teenage mistake.
-We don't want that information to get out.
-Yes, because it might ruin his life.
-However, a lot of people in this area know or have heard the rumors.
-Yes, it is very distressing, darling, but those people have left Josh alone so far.
-Yes, until now the coverup has been successful enough that the TLC doesn't care.
-Yes, darling, God has been good. Josh deserves it, he has turned his life around so wonderfully.
-Definitely so. He is now one of the leading hypocrites in America and I am so proud.
-Yes, my love, so valiantly fighting for against the rights of those people who are different from us.
-Yes, they might be child molesters.
-Oh Jim Bob, how horrible that is...
-Just think about this: they want to go to the bathroom.
-Good heavens, how terrible. If dear Josh and his family come to visit Arkansas, our sweet grandchildren might have to share the bathroom with a child molester.
-That cannot be allowed to happen.
-We must do something. Just think of the women and children.
-How about a robocall in your sweet voice? We can make a difference.
-Yes, darling. But some of those people who get the call may be LGBT or sympathise with the LGBT rights pursuits. Would it be a good idea to annoy them by implying that THEY are child molesters while they know what Josh did?
-Yes it would.

"Brown Sisters Speak Out About Duggars Scandal: 'If Something Looks Too Good to Be True, It Probably Is'"

http://www.people.com/article/desirae-deondra-brown-speak-josh-duggar-scandal

"The two sisters, part of the classical piano ensemble The Five Browns, came forward in 2011 with the shocking news that they had been sexually abused by their father. Desirae, 36, tells PEOPLE there are red flags to look for when it comes to abuse, some of which she clearly saw just by watching 19 Kids and Counting. 'I remember watching the show and mentioning to friends and family that I feel something is off and something will come out,' Desirae says. She says some of the warning signs included controlling parents, very submissive children and an isolated environment."

Fox news + Duggar interview? LOL This looks like a GOP attempt to smooth over affiliations and close ties to the Duggar Clan. Huck is probably the one who arranged for it to happen after so much bad press for him. They have their best PR people and lawyers going over every detail of that interview in preparing the Duggars. This will not be a cold chat by any means. Every word will be measured and practiced. Good thing the Duggars are trained for this type of thing.

Lesbian couple returns as newlyweds to stage second kiss protest in front of Duggar home

As an afterthought, the story says Michelle's sister is a lesbian. I didn't know that.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...mom-19-s-braining-washing-religious-cult.html

Michelle Duggar's older sister Evelyn Ruark is a lesbian who is in a long term relationship with her partner Sharon Callahan
Michelle and husband Jim Bob are followers of the Quiverfull movement that promotes procreation and eschews all forms of birth control
Their intolerance toward homosexuality recently prompted more than 180,000 people to sign a petition asking TLC to end their series
Callahan has said that she and Duggar's sister are worried about the reality star's lifestyle
'We have often thought that Quiverfull is a cult. It appears to be brainwashing to me,' she said
Ruark featured in an early episode of the reality show, although her partner wasn't featured or even mentioned

Some more background:

Sherrl McFerrin, who attended Springdale Senior High School in Arkansas alongside Duggar in the ‘80s, says the 48-year-old anti-LGBT activist, then known as Michelle Ruark, was known as the school sweetheart.
“She was honestly one of the loveliest, sweetest people you could ever hope to meet.” McFerrin, now a 47-year-old mother of three, exclusively tells RadarOnline.com.

“The Duggars have blood on their hands. There is more of it every time another precious [gay or transgender] child takes his or her own life,” McFerrin fumes, adding that many of her friends around town are equally disgusted with Duggar’s actions.

She's the woman who took the photo of the lesbian couple kissing.

What do the men wear?

Jeans (full length) and t-shirts or wet suits that are not skin tight and that are knee length.

I'm not sure they're being paid. But I pretty certain they want to do damage control. They are the darlings of the extreme religious right. So many politicians have pandered to them. But they have two personal reasons to try to smooth things over: Money from being a brand, and: Their cultural status as Quiverfull royalty.

They want badly to save face.

Yes. And Josh Smuggar has made smug little comments about her.

That is some epic karma right there.

In that call she said:

Hello, this is Michelle Duggar. I’m calling to inform you of some shocking news that would affect the safety of Northwest Arkansas women and children. The Fayetteville City Council is voting on an ordinance this Tuesday night that would allow men – yes, I said men – to use women's and girls' restrooms, locker rooms, showers, sleeping areas and other areas that are designated for females only. I don’t believe the citizens of Fayetteville would want males with past child predator convictions that claim they are female to have a legal right to enter private areas that are reserved for women and girls. I doubt that Fayetteville parents would stand for a law that would endanger their daughters or allow them to be traumatized by a man joining them in their private space. We should never place the preference of an adult over the safety and innocence of a child. Parents, who do you want undressing next to your daughter at the public swimming pool’s private changing area?

HP has a recording on the landing page below:

When my daughter revealed her abuse they were in place, and weren't new.
