I do have to comment on the request for cash. I have heard that it is becoming more accepted - but still they shouldn't have dissed people that were thoughtful enough to give a gift.

Perhaps it is but I have never seen one single invitation asking for cash. It will never be acceptable in my eyes. That's simply the way I feel about it.

I do agree though about the simple yet perfect. However, knowing Raven the way we do, I'm sure that this is simply a way for him to rake in the most money for the least expenditure. He probably planned it all out, plugged things into his Franklin Covey programs and decided that this was the best equation to make a quick buck.

I agree with you Jersey, I do not feel it is acceptable to ask for money in lieu of a gift. The method of getting married is fine, it's the way they went about it.

She wanted the beach wedding, she didn't get it.

I'm sure there is not much they need, except money. That's all they are always going to need is money.

We both know where our hearts are in this case, and it's with Janet, Kaiden, the family and we don't want anyone else harmed.

Maybe they couldn't afford the wedding because they spent so much on these invitations! But we all know that Raven has to have the very best of everything, whether or not he can afford it.

LOL, I still can't believe they used that tongue picture! What the hell is wrong with these people??? And to combine it with text about being Auria's mommy and Kaiden's daddy ... good grief ... doesn't seem like the mommiest or daddiest picture to me. My prayers are truly with those children.

It's not about that. It's about the fact that Janet was murdered and I fully 100% believe it was by Raven. I know for a fact Raven cheated on Janet so many times. I believe it was planned, premeditated and calculated.

I think Vanessa is not naive and is a bit more worldly than the average girl out in Utah. She wanted to get married at the Beach and it couldn't happen because of funding. They are renting a house. She KNOWS he's not been cleared as a suspect. She knows there is a chance he killed Janet. Yet, she's marrying him anyhow?

Is she liking the attention and notoriety. All the world is indeed a stage and is she just another player?

I agree that she isn't Naive. That frustrates me. Vanessa knows what she is doing, and worse, she is bringing her child into it. I can't help but say she is writing her own future and that she is doing it intentionally. I simply don't get how someone can marry someone that stole, cheated on their wife, and murdered their wife. Raven's had other relationships in the past and the girls scrammed after a while.

He's good, if you know Raven, he's very very good at what he does. He's a sociopath and gets people to believe him, believe in him.

If Auria's biological Dad was such a horrible guy, like Vnay's told people, why would she get involved with Raven? Did she bother to listen to the 911 tape? Did she bother to even read up on the case? Did she call investigators? Did her parents?

She knew enough about things to play games by putting baby items on her registry.....knowing full well Janet was pregnant when she was murdered. Why not really investigate, for her DAUGHTER'S sake. Very selfish IMO, to put her daughter in jeopardy!

The invitation is tacky in light of the fact that Raven has not been to his wife's grave since when? How many times has he been there? ONCE?

He has not taken a lie detector test, tried to pass off Janet's death as a suicide, he has been dating since immediately after the murder, he has got on COUNTLESS road trips and vacations, since immediately after the murder, he did not go to any of the vigils, he has done nothing to "find his wife's murderer". he tried to pass off the embezzlement on Janet, he tried to make it seem as though he was the one that was into his faith, even on NC Wanted, he lied to people about going on a mission, he had several affairs on Janet, on April 26, 2006, the one year anniversary of Janet's murder, while other people were in Durham, NC for a Candlelight Vigil for Janet, Raven was sitting in an attorney's office filing bankruptcy. He worked for Canyon Cycles and we hear that he stolen from there too.

Let's not forget all the vacations and biking trips he took since the murder....

Those are just partial reasons why I think the invitation is tacky.

Including missing his motherless son's very first Halloween, IIRC. Think about that Vanessa. Poor little Kaiden had his mother brutally taken from him in April. 6 months later, is Raven holding this child with everything he is, enjoying a memorable first? Nope, he's off on a bike trip that he can't afford and that his debtors ended up paying for after he bankrupted on them. What a keeper.
