She was too. As soon as she found out her Daughter was missing she caught the next flight out, the same day!!! She was desperate like any normal Mother would be.
Nah.
Suggest you check the facts.

I know. Just saying that you are also talking about other cases.
Ambien is used to get high
I am not saying Robyn used it for that purpose, but many do.
Nonmedical use of zolpidem is increasingly common in U.S.A, Canada, and the UK. Street names for the drug include Abee'ss, Amee's, and Amb'zz. Recreational users report that "fighting" the hypnotic effects of the drug while forcing themselves to stay awake can cause vivid visuals and a body high.[57] Some users have reported decreased anxiety, mild euphoria, perceptual changes, visual distortions, and hallucinations.[58]

No I went with the scenario that is believed here that the Fisherman had no reason to lie, Giordano was so drunk he could not speak etc.
I do not believe that, but if you do believe it you cannot also believe the 1,5 million dollar motive.
Where does this claim come from?
Since he owns a car I am sure he is aware of the alcohol/drugs clause.
is there a video of R & G on the beach?
Like Joran killed Natalee? In the Natalee Holloway case there were many things said by Americans that made no sense whatsoever and continue to be said..
If ever there was an example of media manipulation as well as forum distortion, the Natalee Holloway case reigns supreme.
Please, meet me on the Natalee Holloway forum and tell me more, my interest is piqued. The end result is that by the time the actual facts became known, it was too late to act upon them
Nah.

Does not change the fact that GG had tried to collect. JB claims the personal injury attorney wanted 1/3 of the insurance money. Sound like he expected to get that money. jmo
He did not try to collect. He called the insurance to inform them of the situation and asked if costs made regarding the search for Robyn were covered by the insurance.
Robyn's mother was not there yet, it would be only logical if he assumed the police may want him to stay longer, he would have to change his flight, book a prolong his stay at the hotel etc.
Him contacting the insurance company over this does not equal cashing in, that is what the media made of it; Giordano cashing in, Giordano changing toupees, Giordano and Robyn fighting at the lobby etc etc.
Natalee's mother has ALWAYS fought the fight...to this day she has not given up on finding Natalee - just as most mothers (see difference betwixt incubator and mother), who care about their children.Nah.
Suggest you check the facts.
Pop was referring to a post of mine. I mentioned Natalee Holloway only because thousands of pages were posted here by Americans about Aruba; in none of them that I recall did the phrase "human trafficking" refer to transporting illegal immigrants.
So the fault was mine, but I wasn't comparing cases. I was simply referring to the only other instance I've encountered where thousands of Americans discussed how women may go missing from Aruba.
Speaking of which, does anyone have a reputable source that suggests human slavery is a significant problem in Aruba? It's a nice idea to toss around when your date disappears, but do we have any hardcore info?

I swear, you learn something new every day - would you please source this for me? Seriously, poor misguided GG - he actually thought he was going to have to incur the expense of Aruba searching for a missing person. He did not try to collect. He called the insurance to inform them of the situation and asked if costs made regarding the search for Robyn were covered by the insurance.

Yes, I know idiots use it to try and get high, but as one who takes them for insomnia, and has a prescription for them, I can tell you that drinking vodka and juice....or any alcoholic beverage, will net you about five minutes of the "mild euphoria - 8 hours of decreased anxiety, and total visual distortions after 30 minutes. The hallucinations? No clue, I've never taken more than 12 mg at a time. It's like saying people use sominex to party on - they have the same effect, only in prescription form. I remember when I was in my late teens and everyone was getting high on mandrax and qualudes - all I saw were a bunch of jack wagons laying around slobbering on themselves. Fun times.
If Robyn had a prescription, LE would be able to tell how many she took by the date and amount of pills missing. That is, of course, unless GG took some out to set up his story. I defy anyone here to take an ambien, 10mg or more, slam down a couple of gin and juices, and then try to have a fun-filled day at the beach - ain't happening.
That information didn't come from any sort of official source though, it came from some anonymous person who claimed to know details. That doesn't make it corrrect and certainly not verified. Simply being reported in a news source doesn't make it any more believable. It would be different if the insurance company or the prosecutor who was making that allegation, but as far as we know they have not.Do you have links showing he did not try and collect. Because everything Ihave read says the opposite.
ORANJESTAD, Aruba - Investigators have been told that just two days after an American tourist was reported missing in Aruba, her travel companion tried to collect on a $1.5 million accidental-death insurance policy he took out on her, The Associated Press has learned.
A person who provided information to authorities told the AP that Gary V. Giordano, now detained on the Caribbean island, bought the insurance specifically for his five-day getaway with Robyn Gardner. The person did not have authorization to publicly release the information and agreed to speak only on condition of anonymity.
Aruban authorities previously confirmed that Giordano had an insurance policy that covered the missing woman, but withheld details, including who the beneficiary is or whether Giordano tried to collect. Solicitor General Taco Stein late Thursday confirmed to the AP that the coverage was in the amount of $1.5 million.
