honestly I would rather see her get lwop just b/c I see the dp as simply "putting them out of their misery". Chances are she will spend her sentence in solitary due to the conviction being associated with harming a child. life in solitary..much worse than death.

Why do you think she'd get life in solitary? I think she'll be placed among the general population.

oh wow...

I thought you are only post partum after giving birth or am I wrong? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Apparently it can start anytime after having a baby for up to 3yrs or so, but I think they will say it was long term, starting from when she had Caylee.

So far that is only a rumor.

With all due respect, at this point I consider any statement preceded with "CA says.." or "GA says..." or "LA says.." to be fiction until what they said can be proven by the testimony of other more objective sources - like a neighbor.

Details of the Anthony case to do not rise to the level required for the death penalty, he wrote. She doesn't have a criminal record. There is no history of abuse. The crime was not cold, calculated and premeditated. In the months leading up to Caylee's disappearance, Anthony's behavior was described by friends and family as "erratic and not entirely rational." Or I don't know what....I mean he just said "THE CRIME" what crime?? How does he know there was a crime leading to Caylee's death? This defense team is going to put KRAZY in a casket if they don't shut up...So now we know the truth, well always have but her own defense team just put it in writing.. She better fess up pretty damn quick before they start searching.....

Everyone changes after they have a child. It is a life changing event. My own dear daughter in law, who recently gave birth August 11th-had a transformation so miraculous that it is absolutely visible. She GLOWS with the happiness that this event has given her, and she matured post haste with the coming of the child. Not so Casey. Why? Was she mentally ill or was she just narcisticly preoccupied with CASEY? Let's look at it.

She did not want to keep the baby.
She did not even acknowledge to friends and family that she WAS pregnant until she was in her 7th month.
She QUIT HER JOB with the birth of the baby BUT continued to LIE and say she WAS working so she could ESCAPE for those hours every day-so she could get away from Caylee.
Now, for the next almost 3 years:
She continues to PRETEND and LIE that she has a job that she MUST go to, and at ODD hours many times (a way to get out with her friends and her men)
She has no money, so she steals, steals and steals some more to pay her own desires: clothing, eating-out, jewelry, gas, SUNGLASSES and God only knows what else she spent all the money that she stole on. And THIS rather than get a JOB, because that would mean she had NO free time just for CASEY, and let's face it, there is NOBODY that means a thing to Casey BUT Casey.
She is sleeping with one man after another, lining one up before the next is gone-keeping herself from BEING alone and lonely. She was YOUNG and she wanted to BE young, and here she was saddled down with this BABY that she did not want and was FORCED to keep by mommy dearest.
She is lying, lying, lying to cover ALL of this up, and somewhere along the line she slipped into the land of no return, where there is no lie that will cover what has happened. She HARMED HER CHILD and LIKELY CAUSED HER DEATH. She did this by engaging in selfish acts year after year and putting Casey's needs ahead of everything and anything. She manipulated those around her with seemingly effortless ease, and she THOUGHT that this would be the same: Just one more lie to tell and I am FREE! But it didn't work out that way for her. And now, here we all are today, wondering HOW in the name of ZEUS she thinks that is going to fly-the I had post-partum depression SCHEME?

It did not LOOK like ppd...Andrea Yates FIT THE TICKET/Casey Anthony does NOT. She had post partum I do not want to be a mother, never wanted to be a mother and will not be a mother when I am DONE-she had a PLAN and she made a DECISION and she killed her child and did God only knows what with her, and no amount of baby-pictures or insane theories is going to change that. She took her daughters life, and should lose her own, in my own opinion.

If the defense tries that angle I hope they have people like Brooke Shields on the stand to testify to how many days she felt like partying when she suffered from PPD. Or perhaps Tom Cruise could remind the jury that PPD is all in a woman's head. Vitamins people! :)

Only b/c they usually do that for people convicted of crimes against children. People in prison, especially ones that know they are never getting out, usually seek their own form of "sentencing" for child killers. It would be for kc's safety and she may not have a choice. trust me, kc would get killed in gen pop.

This sounds like an admission.

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/orange/orl-casey-anthony-death110508,0,6113475.story

Lenamon wrote that experts will likely agree that Anthony as "suffering from episodes of extreme emotional distress and disturbance since her daughter's birth." Even the lack of emotion after her child's disappearance and arrest "is not normal," he wrote.

Lenamon also said:...Anthony's behavior was described by friends and family as "erratic and not entirely rational."

 Where is he getting this information????

Chilly ... I don't believe that KC would last a day in the general population ... I have read many times that inmates really frown upon those that harm or kill innocent children.

Child killers do not do well in general population, and with as high profile a case as this one, it is likely that she would be placed in solitary for her own protection if for no other reason. Baby killers tend to get whacked when they put them in the general population. I am not saying that IS what will happen, but it is likely due to how high profile this case has been that they will put her in some kind of "protective" environment to serve out her sentence...at least for a few decades...until the memories dim...:waitasec:

Thanks for the answer. While I know that prison is not a safe place for those who hurt or kill children, I didn't realize that those people were kept in solitary. It doesn't seem like there would be enough cells.

Do they really keep certain prisoners in solitary confinement for up to 60 years??

I don't think PPD can be used in this case, it won't go far if it is..
Casey told LE that if she wanted to get rid of her daughter she would give her to her mom. Her friends and family said she was acting normal. People that close to her would be able to tell she was suffering from PPD.
The documents are coming and they will be damning. I firmly think we will find out when the searches were, who knows that she was giving chloroform to Caylee, and that she was known to do it regularly. I think we will also hear from someone what she was doing for money the past 2 years.
The new lawyer knows this information is damning that is why he wrote the 30 pages to SA. Baez cares for Casey and will not admit that his client killed her child. I dout we will hear it from him at trial too. Casey has him in her web, and his career is on the line. The new lawyer will try to defend her but like his other clients, she will get what she deserves.
I think the remaining pings that were not in the last dump will come out tomorrow and I think those will be the ones that will lead to Caylee. I seriously think they were held back for the murder trial only for a reason, now its all going to come out, something that Baez did not want to happen.
This is all fixing to hit the fan. The picture that has been painted of Casey is the correct one.
Buckle up ladies and gents, its fixing to get rocky in Orlando.

You're right chilly- I think it was said that she would be put with "like" inmates that had committed similar crimes.

That makes sense.

Wow, are there a lot of mothers that kill their children in Florida jails?

:waitasec: What does that have to do with a fight on the 15th being nothing but a rumor at this point?

I'll give you three:

1. Caylee being asleep in the Anthony home the night of the 15th is a rumor.

2. Caylee's breath heard "through" the bedroom door is a rumor.

3. Caylee leaving the A home around 12:50pm on the 16th is a rumor.

There is no proof any of it happened that way. If a neighbor states he heard an arguement on the night of the 15th, I'm going to talk about and consider his "rumor" against all the "rumors" coming from the A-camp.
