Just saying...if a friend of my daughter called to say my daughter needed money put into my daughter's account I would think it was safe putting money into my daughter's account.
I would certainly not put it into anyone else's account.
So, in essence, the caller may not have pretended to be Karlie but a friend and even more convincingly, a known friend.
In this scenario, I would be easily tricked.
You are far more trusting than I , They'll. I'd demand the friend fetch the daughter to the phone stat. or there would be people cut out of wills, etc.. However.... the caller did , in fact, pretend to be Karlie, according to Les Bray of the SA police.. no ambiguity about it, no maybe, no perhaps, or might have.. did do. A quote from the SA pol website.
On at least a couple of occassions that we know of maybe more. That a female falsley represented herself to be Karlie in communication to family and friends. certainly some of those communications induced a family member to send money...............

Yes, to you first point, Troop.
Secondly, this brings up the intimacy between Karlie and fraudsters. Unless they were angry phone calls demanding money or blubbering, begging ones where 'Karlie's' voice could have heard as distorted, I lean towards thinking fraudsters must know or at least have had access to at least a little of Karlie's and Khandalyce's intimate information. But, then again, people hear what they want to hear, etc and I'm sure with both Karlie and Khandalyce being almost MIA they would want to hear 'her' voice and that of Khandalyce (which also makes me wonder if an innocent child of a similar age and sex was used in the commission if these frauds).
If so...B*st*rds...
Fair enough, Sleep, but I didn't mean to imply that and I'm sorry if it sounded that way.
I think the fact is that although the police have charged someone we really have no idea of the details and what, if any, defence he might make.
Innocent until proven guilty is the phrase I always have in my mind - being charged and being proven guilty are poles apart.
I am so grateful we live in a society where this is the law, but I am also always mindful of the way the meadia treated Lindy Chamberlain and how most Australians believed her guilty.
Needless to say, I never did.
I am just not a person who is willing to make judgements about people based on what they look like, who they associate with, their past mistakes, or how they appear in the media.
I try to give everyone, quite literally, the benefit of the doubt, both in real life, in media stories and online, and not jump to hasty conclusions about them.
It drives some people nuts, but I'm not likely to change and start judging people just to please others.
It's interesting to track Holdom, and Passmore all around 3 states ..lining it up with the location of the withdrawals from ATM's,..... '
With Karlie's body hidden in the Belanglo Forest, and Holdom and his accomplice zipping hither and yon, the mystery is .. where was Khandalyce's body stored all this time.. ? I find it hard to believe it was taken on their travels.... it isn't impossible, but to me, at this point, it seems improbable.. have to wait until the trial for that mystery to be unravelled...

As time gos on, I think HP is less likely to be involved in the fraud or the murders.
As far as I can determine, she was not able to be the one facing interviews at those times. relationship ended with DH and began with her current partner as they have a child, they were no longer a couple soon after the accident.

the complexity of that!... the murderer gets another woman prepared to play this game in a wheelchair... just like Hazel.. as if, further down the line, Hazel is implicated merely thru the wheelchair association.. its as if he gets someone to impersonate Hazel impersonating Karlie.. its like those Russian dolls one inside the other..
I have to say, Karo, this has spun around in my head .. this scenario.. I wonder how many men, on average , have 2 women friends younger than he in wheelchairs.. a statistic that has to be somewhere!..
I put nothing past any one them. .. if you can murder a tiny motherless and fatherless child, you can do anything. Nothing would faze you, nothing would stop you, there would be nothing you couldn't do .
