Maybe I missed it but, at any time, did EP visit or attempt to visit her lunch guests when they were in hospital?
that's a great question! i don't remember reading anything about it, maybe others know.

Can I ask, if EP has lied on the stand under oath what does that mean for her ?

The offence of perjury in Victoria is governed by both common law and legislation. The Victorian offence of perjury is a serious offence and carries a maximum penalty of 15 years imprisonment.

I think she tried to poison SP in the past
I think she would have done so if he had attended
i think she invited the other guests to coerce him to attend
I think when he refused to attend, she poisoned the others to punish him as they were his closest and most supportive family and he loved and respected them
I think if she were to be acquitted, I would be very concerned about her having access to their children, the most obvious way she has left of hurting SP is to hurt the kids
moo

I do wonder if her initial plan was to only poison SP or some but not all, and then switched to the others when he would not come, or was she going after all of them all along. So much selfish hate in her either way to go through with it.

The prosecutor tells the jury that during Ms Patterson's considerable time in the witness box, they would have observed her "remarkable memory" as she recalled dates, evidence and details with ease.

Dr Rogers notes that last week, when discussing a date in April 2023, Ms Patterson even corrected her on what day of the week it had been.

* Was a ploy by Dr Rogers when Erin corrected her

Erin has proved that her memory is good after all 😃
What was clearly demonstrated was Erin's "remarkable (selective) memory"

Dr Rogers is definitely lurking on WS, IMO 😂
I have also wondered whether they just lurk anonymously or are actually rusted on signed up WS members…with the latter making me wonder exactly who?!🤔

Erin and Simon's post-lunch phone call
Dr Rogers takes Erin to Simon’s evidence about a phone call with Erin from the day after the lunch.
She reads out part of his evidence.

“I told her that Mum and Dad and Heather and Ian were all crook and that they’d all been admitted to hospital,” Simon said about the call.
Dr Rogers suggests to Erin the call ended after he informed her of his parents’ illness which she disagrees with.

“We discussed how Don and Gail were, that’s how I found out about them in hospital,” she says.
Dr Rogers suggests Erin did not ask about his parents’ health.
“Disagree,” she says.

“I can’t remember the exact words in that conversation, but we had a conversation about what they were experiencing and why they were in hospital.”
She also says she asked about the Wilkinsons.

The prosecutor tells the jury that instead, the accused "sat on her hands while Don, Gail, Ian and Heather were all in comas".

Never.

It depends. If she is found guilty of murder, nobody will care really.

If she is acquitted, they might go for perjury. IMO

Ian described the guests eating off grey plates, while their host ate from an orange-coloured plate.

"You will have no trouble in being satisfied that he is a reliable witness and you can confidently accept what he told you about the details of the lunch, including the four grey plates and the fifth, odd plate," Dr Rogers says.

She tells the jury Ian was not the only one to notice the plate, recapping that his wife, Heather Wilkinson, told people after the lunch that she had noticed the different-coloured plates.

"Heather even mentioned it a second time during the car trip from Korumburra Hospital to Leongatha [as per Simon Patterson's evidence]," Dr Rogers says.

It doesn't really matter what colour the plates were, the point is that Erin's was different from the rest.

Catching up, thank you to all posters!

If the prosecution completes their closing early tomorrow, the jury might start deliberating on Wednesday, is that correct? If so, we might have a decision before the weekend?

The judge needs to give the jury instructions and that will take a while as well. So conservative estimate would be deliberations start maybe on the weekend and we get a verdict next week? Edited to add I'm actually not sure about the timeline, it all depends on how long it takes for prosecution, defence and judge instructions all up.

Regarding EP’s note taking. Does this normally happen?
Perhaps she is fearing a guilty verdict and is note taking in readiness for a possible appeal?
Wonder what the jury thinks of this?

Theoretically the judge will probably take longer than the prosecution IMO. But I feel like the prosecution are nearly done.
If the defence gets a crack tomorrow, they may be done.

I have a feeling the deliberations will be over in record time.

I think we will have a verdict by the weekend. IMO

I hope so! The closer the trial gets to a verdict, the more interesting things get. But at the end of the day I want closure for SP, IW and the families.
