Who suggested that she can’t be guilty because he follows her on Instagram? That’s a very long bow to draw, imo.
She may very well be guilty of poisoning, I’m not sure.

Safe to say they are now not friends considering he thinks she poisoned him and his family.

I decided to dive into this thread just a little bit ago, had no idea what I was getting into!
I realize we don't have all the evidence, of course, but I'm definitely finding EP and her actions highly suspicious.
I also find it interesting that so many people seem willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, whereas I think if she was a man accused of attempting this sort of thing, I don't think that would be the case. And they do say poison is a woman's weapon.
As for motive, I do believe it's likely financial, custodial, and revenge. I surmise that if Simon and her were only separated, perhaps he was asking for a divorce, so he could move on to the next relationship. A divorce would be final, and if she is the one who had more assets, she would have to share them with him potentially (I do not know Australian law on this though, but in the US, it varies from state to state, but there could definitely be a situation where he would be entitled to 50% of all her assets) and perhaps a different custody arrangement.
It could also be revenge. "You left me, if I can't have you no one will". And then when he didn't show up, she decided to inflict pain on him in a different way.
There was a recent case in the US where the husband shot the kids right in front of the mother because she was going to leave him. He didn't kill her, but he did kill the children knowing the pain it would cause her for the rest of her life.
This is an unusual situation, no doubt, because it involves the in-laws. But if she saw them as influencing him to not get back together with her, then that definitely could be motive. And anyway trying to ascribe rational motives to murderers, is always almost an exercise in futility.
Have they said how long toxicology is expected to take?

Death cap mushrooms are known to be highly toxic and fatal even in small doses.
Possibly she didn't realize the potency of the mushrooms and just wanted them to become sick. Their deaths may have come as a surprise to her.
That's very unlikely considering death cap is known to be highly toxic and people in the area are warned not to pick these mushrooms.
I don’t think so, because she was an experienced forager and the death caps are known to be extremely dangerous and fatal for everyone.

Right, I was only referring to the notion that he thinks she poisoned him (in 2022). That is according to his friend's communications to Msm, reportedly.

Given that the police are saying nothing, and EP has gone quiet, and SP has said nothing, and the survivor is presumably too ill to talk to the media, I'll be intrigued to know who the exposer is (pardon my sarcasm).

EP publicly admitted lying to LE on one point (or more? and made hinky-dinky sounding stmts), so some posters, including me, would not be surprised to learn that she foraged the mushrooms but simply has not admitted it.
[ETA: I don't know if anyone is absolutely, positively CONVINCED that EP foraged the death caps, either purposely or by accident, but imo some are CONSIDERING it as a possibility.]
Personally am considering multiple possibilities re various
factors here. In absence of LE stmts on many of thise factors, I'm not convinced of anything on those points.

What I want to say, context matters.
This story is fantastically interesting because if is almost a "locked room mystery". Five people are served Beef Wellington, four are poisoned, one OK. Who is the poisoner?
Only we don't know the situation- at all.
What was the poison? Where did they stay before? What was said to the EMTs? Etc, etc.

Of course just My Opinion
We don't know about the burial. Maybe it is delayed because of poisoning. But of course, his hands are full anyhow. I wouldn't unfollow in this situation, precisely. Following doesn't only mean, friends.
