Thanks @Shadow@light.TootsieFootie, I am glad you are much better.

Well she’s either killed 3 people or she hasn’t.if the Police thought EP was a danger to anyone they would already have taken action.
Danger to anyone vs danger to anyone ELSE …I have a feeling that if the Police thought EP was a danger to anyone they would already have taken action.
revisiting her statement a month later …Well she’s either killed 3 people or she hasn’t.
She cooked the meal, she didn’t eat the meal. 3/4 people who ate the meal died and the other is home now after months in hospital.
I think she might be a danger to society if she’s responsible, but without solid evidence, what can police do?
Maybe the homicide police / taskforce assigned to her case have a surveillance operation ongoing in her house, car and on her phone, and they are looking to gather more evidence which will stand up well in court before charging her.
A surveillance op would also assist with community safety… if police or analysts are listening live then they could always step in and break cover if they became aware anyone else was at risk of harm.
All jmo
** I also want to stress that Erin Patterson could be completely innocent and has strenuously denied hurting anyone **
It’s just semantics on her behalf."I lost my parents-in-law, my children lost their grandparents," she said.
I wonder if Erin would want to reach out to Mr. Wilkinson.I’m so very pleased to read Mr Wilkinson is home with family. I wonder if he would want to reach out to Erin.
Xanthe stating the obvious againPolice will be “very keen” to talk to Mr Wilkinson, according to forensic criminologist Dr Xanthe Mallet.
“He’s the only one who attended that lunch to survive besides Erin, and he is going to be giving a full account to police as to what happened at that lunch,” she told Sunrise.
“Who ate what, the demeanours and conversations.”
“It’s that dehydrator that potentially cooked the death cap mushrooms that they need to get tested,” she said.
“That’s going to be critical in this case and really the crux is were the death cap mushrooms in that dehydrator or not?”

A friend of mine recently found these mystery mushrooms sold in a specialty store in Campbeltown, South Australia …
Forest mushroom mix. Use by 31 Dec, 26.

Three possibilities IMO given that no toxicology results yet received/yet provided by official sources -Well she’s either killed 3 people or she hasn’t.

I could be wrong, but Forest mushroom mix I don’t think is literally from the forest, I think it’s just a mix of polytunnel raised mushrooms for variety. Like that jam or frozen berries “fruits of the forest” where literally none of the ingredients come from a forest.Three possibilities IMO given that no toxicology results yet received/yet provided by official sources -
IMO, if investigators receive toxicology results definitively linking the deaths to the meal prepared by EP, they will certainly take the necessary steps to keep the community safe.
- Deaths not caused by consumption of the meal in question, so not as a result of any action on Erin Patterson's part
- Accidental deaths resulted from consumption of meal prepared by EP, with no intent on her part.
- Deaths caused by deliberate actions of EP with preparation of the meal.
In a recent Australian case - The High Country Murders, (also in the State of Victoria) police conducted over 5,000 covert recordings of a suspect, mainly muttering to himself, which led to his arrest.
(See link below).
(Slightly off-topic, but still relevant (I think) as it shows the extent to which investigators will go in the pursuit of justice.)

Police listened to 5000 covert recordings of accused High Country killer
Detectives investigating the killings of campers Russell Hill and Carol Clay say they’ve listened to recordings of the alleged killer muttering to himself that were picked up by listening devices installed in Gregory Lynn’s car.www.theage.com.au
Ellery84, kudos to you for including your last sentence. I agree with you that she could be completely innocent.
Your post prior to this one, with the photo of a container of dried forest mushrooms which your friend came across in a specialty store in SA is very interesting. It does show that EP's claim that she purchased dried mushrooms could well be true.
After reading of how frighteningly lethal DC mushrooms are, I felt somewhat alarmed to see the photo of the "Forest Mushroom Mix", and don't feel inclined to make a purchase any time soon...(JMO)
Interesting that dried mushrooms are sometimes sold in containers that are not tamper-proof.![]()

Tho this chat puts me off mushrooms completely!
So many wonderings now that Pastor Ian is home.I wonder if Erin would want to reach out to Mr. Wilkinson.
