EP is going to look well-groomed and sensible for the start of her trial in a few weeks.

There is a certain image that needs to be presented on a daily basis to the jury. It might affect the outcome of the trial if they perceive EP to be a specific type of person, when killing family members may be perceived to be by a different type of person.

Lawyers always advise their clients on how to present themselves in court, what to wear, what not to wear, hair, including getting it cut or styled. Other things, like how to behave and follow court protocol.

They want to give their clients the best chance for as favourable an outcome as they can.

Could have at least shown us the spine of the book, my bets a bible!

I toyed with the idea of her book being a recipe book! :p;)

I actually think it is her mom's book. She has to remind everyone that she's from a good family.

I wonder if some clever sleuths have worked out what the book is.

From one angle you can actually see quite a bit of it including some writing which isn't sharp enough for me to make out on my laptop,

Maybe, but I think we can be sure it's not a recipe book.

Maybe it's a catch up course on being an air traffic controller.

Perhaps she is actually studying some course in the prison.
Not joking, but it could be seen in a good light.
Ie halfway through a degree.

Might just be that publication of potential evidence is being withheld because they want a fair trial.

If they are debating what's to be admissible and what isn't, then I could understand that being suppressed prior to a jury trial (but I'd love to hear that debate).

Yes, I hope there is not too much that is deemed inadmissible. But she has a really good barrister.

Only a couple of weeks now till the start of the trial.

No judgment on her but I Spy an Unread Bible. Binding isn't broken.

Recent gift perhaps.

Found an older article that says the trial will begin on the 28th April 2025 at Morwell

ACCUSED killer Erin Patterson will face trial in Morwell as early as Monday, April 28 next year, on three counts of murder and five of attempted murder, the Melbourne Supreme Court determined.

It's now next year :) So the trial will be in 13 days time.

The cynic in me suggests that it's a prop suggested by her defence team.

Meanwhile: 2 Kings 4:39-41
