She's been found guilty, we can't prejudice a jury's verdict now.

The media have been reporting that she is guilty. That would not be allowed if it was still under the same Sub Judice.

Erin’s friends wasted their time with all that plastic tarping for that privacy screen last week.

She won’t be needing that where she is heading 😍

hey there! What does sub justice mean? Thank you to everyone for your amazing commentary from
someone who has been watching in the shadows!

I am SO happy that this poor poor family have gotten justice - as bitter sweet as it would be especially for the poor children.

I am also glad she will no longer be able to stalk and harass people anymore. Horrible, horrible woman.

hopefully they don't have access to the internet in prison

Detechtive - I cannot wait to hear what you have to say about this whole sordid mess. I hope you're processing this news OK.

My friends and I were watching it live together in a facebook chat, some on the phone, etc. We were so anxious we couldn't breathe. All of us have been badly affected by Erin Patterson, and all knew her intimately. We are just so pleased that justice has been served!

(I really feel for the poor children, though - however, it is best that they are safe from her now).

IMO

What a sad, senseless crime this is.
No winners in this at all.
So sad as Erin could have chosen to act so differently, especially given the financial freedom she had - could have sought therapy and taken the children on lots of trips and gone travelling herself. Could have sought out new relationships and found new joy in her life rather than obsessing over her ex in laws. So sad that this wasn't her chosen path.

Yes just imagine being a multimillionaire with lovely kids and a loving family around you and you decide to poison people.

The mind boggles as her selfish narcissistic behavior. She has not only destroyed her life but those around her and unfortunately I don’t see any remorse either. 🐮

It's nice to know that the jury didn't come to a hasty decision on Saturday just to avoid being sequestered over the rest of the weekend. I imagine that they gave themselves Sunday to meditate on their decision, regroup today for a final touch up, then some good-byes, and then head back to the courtroom for their final duty.

Justice has been done.

Sub judice

From the time that somebody is about to be charged with an offence, up to the moment when the court finishes dealing with it, the case is said to be sub judice.

In practice, sub judice normally starts when a person is arrested, charged or a warrant is issued for their arrest and ends when the judge or jury gives a verdict.

who was she stalking and harassing?! Crazy stuff.

So senseless for her to have taken 3 innocent lives and ruined her own. She must have had so much hatred in her heart... 😐

how does Simon break this to the children before they see it online
Am sure he will find the wisdom to do so, particularly as he is finally relieved of the huge burden of uncertainty he has carried for so long now. He no longer has to fear for his life, and worry about his children's safety. He can finally look ahead with hope.

Channel 9 presented an exclusive photo of EP during the trial.

She has been in MORWELL police station, during the trial, and would go to court, via an underground tunnel.
Her attorneys stated her conditions there were not supportive for EP.
Well didn't she choose to have the trial held there specifically which meant her initial time in custody was longer. Typical Erin to complain about the conditions in the police station then...

Those who are able, put on channel 9: loads of info.
A psychologist is going to report soon.

Just out of curiousity, what happens to all her money and properties now? Is it frozen? Do the homes stay vacant, or get rented out? Does it all just sit there until she dies, then it's distributed as per her will? I'd like to think a lot of it is put towards some heavy duty counselling for her kids, and even Simon in an ideal world.
