I can't see her winning an appeal at this stage.

It has been stated, EP's supporters, thought she would go home.
Last week, they added screens around her home, so media would not be able to take photos.
They filled her fridge, waiting for her return.

Channel 7 are now waiting for the Chief Detective, who arrested EP, to speak.
Can't wait.
Those seem like really good friends. I hope they find somebody better to spend it on.

I can't see her winning an appeal at this stage.
BUT, with her many notes, and further lies, we cannot be sure.
IMAGINE if her appeal is successful. YUK.

Oh I forgot to add! SO many thanks to our verified insider, @Detechtive, for giving invaluable exclusive insights on your *former* friendship with the murderess- I can’t even imagine how surreal this must have been and how many whirlwind emotions you’ve been through for two years, and all the while generous enough to be be here sharing with us. You’re a sobering reminder that it’s not just the directly involved who are victims, that there are always ripples of destruction and hurt caused by these selfish evil people.

I hope this verdict brings you and the other friends and people who knew her affected by this, some semblance of closure and peace 💜💚💜

(And no comment to the friends who’ve staunchly stuck by her innocence, I can’t help but wonder how she/ they’re feeling right now- will they insist the whole thing is completely wrong and injust? Or will they have the humility and self awareness to admit they’ve been fooled and wrong, if not out loud, them at least to themselves…🤔

Thank you :)

I do feel sorry for her friends on one hand, because they were groomed by a psychopath, IMO. However, I also don't because they acted as her flying monkeys to harass people and I have no tolerance for that type of bullying.

I honestly think some of them can't face she is guilty because it would mean having to face their own narcissism thinking they were fooled, which would mean narcissistic collapse. Either way, I don't really care, and wish them all karma for what they have inflicted on other people.

Frankly, I have no time for Xanthe Mallet.

It's multiple murder for sure. Mass for me connotes a crowd of victims targeted by a shooter, or a bomber, etc. But hey, semantics.
Every murder is one too many so its quibbling over fine details, and its never a competition, but just personally I find it uncomfortable to say she's one of Australia's worst mass murderers when we have Port Arthur, Joel Cauchi, and various other bombings and mass shootings. Not to mention a whole bunch of utterly horrifying historical massacres of First Nations people that are barely ever acknowledged.

Erin is in a class of her own, I think potentially much more dangerous but her hubris brought her down... side note and I don't know if this is because of Erin herself, her gender, or the nature of poisonings, or what, but you can tell society perceives it differently by how many memes, jokes and planned tv shows there are already whereas other crimes are treated with much more gravity. Just my thoughts

I can't see her winning an appeal at this stage.
the thoroughness and fairness of the Judge's directions are something we should all be very thankful for, I feel like it helped make this a very safe conviction

Now the investigations into ANY other deaths and unexplained illnesses of people she associated with, including her parents and any other "friends". I feel it was obvious she was not expecting anyone to figure out it was mushroom poisoning because she was comfortable with this as a method she had used before and not been caught, such as her ex Simons mysterious illnesses that almost killed him. I hope Police can gather enough evidence to charge her again with thel attempted murder of Simon. Can she be charged with attempted murder of Simon because she had invited him to lunch and if he went, would have been poisoned too? I guess unless there was a poison filled "beef wellington" with his name engraved on it in the fridge or bin, perhaps not. When she said to her "friend" "see you soon", did she think she will appeal and walk out of jail until the appeal is heard?
It might be a good idea if they did; as her “money” came from inheritance

Maybe her diarrhea started again and was using the "cork" technique.

She probably had her cream coloured pants on again for the occasion.
Maybe the cream coloured pants were the one piece of key evidence that broke the deadlock!

I wonder if Erin will continue to be held in isolation for her own safety indefinitely? She was already a target a year ago. Looks like shecould be housed with the most heinous perpetrators such as Paedophiles for her prison term for her own safety. Perhaps also for the safety of other prisoners who don't want to be poisoned if she gets the sh#ts with them....

I personally doubt the success of that imo. It's not impossible though. I can't see the evidence found against her working in her favour. But you never know, I just think it's very doubtful now since she has been found guilty of all charges, unlike the recent Diddy verdict

where/when did she say that??

It's like a cult - and Erin was the leader.

This further reinforces my view of her NPD. Such people live in a fantasy world of their own making, where other people are friends just as long as they remain loyal and useful.

(I could refer to a certain president, but I won't.)

"You're goin' home in the back of a divvy van!"

For o/s posters, that is a traditional chant when someone is removed from a venue like the MCG. A long day on the beers at the cricket is usually the cause. The poms will understand.
What's a divvy van? In the UK, it's an ambulance...

I don't think they will pursue other charges. Erin is likely going to go away for life. IMO
It would bring some justice for victims like Simon, but likely not enough evidence now.

You're right, we shouldn't be quibbling over semantics.

Today is a good day for justice for Erin Patterson's victims. Whether she's known as a mass murderer, or a triple murderer, like the Lindy Chamberlain case, this is a case that will be known around the world for many years to come...

This mass murder event is only the start of how the public know Erin. There is much much much more from her background which the jury never got to see. She's clearly ASPD, IMO.

what is ASPD?

Well done to the medical registrar on call (I can’t remember her name) in the hospital where Gail and Don went. She was the one who noted that their presentation was typical of a toxin ingestion, and called toxicology for advice. Without her, death caps may not have been suspected.

And it’s funny how what seemed like pointless evidence - that the duxelle didn’t contain visible mushrooms, ended up being super important, IMO as it suggested she’d powdered the death caps to hide them

She killed 3 people and tried to kill (at least) 2 others. I don't really care about her discomfort.

It's the money-grab off of a tragedy that bothers me. Not for the murderer's sake but the concept of taking these sneaky photos of someone within an official LE vehicle (different from an actual perp-walk in public) for fast money. The whole circus around a tragedy.

Police expected to front the media @ 16:30 ( in about 5 mins )

She had SO much positive in her life before this crime — 2 healthy children, an actual fortune, several homes, kind family surrounding her (I understand EP didn’t think so), her own decent physical health … it astonishes me that someone would blow that up. And blow it up with premeditation and evil intent.

Prayers to Ian and Simon and the children, as well as the many other family members. For the children this is so incredibly damaging. Even though they are ‘safe’ from possible direct future physical and emotional danger from their mother, this no question will scar them for the rest of their lives. Honestly if I was their unincarcerated parent, I would consider changing their last name. I know it connects them to their deceased grandparents and also to EP whom I am sure they still love, the name Patterson will be a source of additional and wide public shame.
I know what you mean. It blows my mind that she couldn't be grateful for all the abundance and good fortune she had.

When my kids were little, my husband and I were often struggling financially and it was stressful dealing with all the bills associated with raising a family, etc. She just took for granted her abundant inheritances and her wonderful children and loving family. She could have focused upon the positives and done great things but for some reason she just went down into the bowels of he!! instead. It was such a stupid choice.
