I do believe in rehabilitation, but in EP's case I think it would be appropriate if that said she will be taken to where she will spend the rest of her life in prison.
In my opinion, poisoners aren't rehabilitatable. They're always a danger, even into their senior years, since poisoning doesn't require strength or stamina. They're secretive, resentful, spiteful, and sadistic, and think nothing of killing those closest to themselves to 'win'.

MOO

I’d love to know:

- what she actually thew away in the servo toilet
- what happened in that 11min window between dropping her son at subway and picking him up on evening of the dinner
- what was on phone A, and what she deleted from phone B
- what she did when she came home from hospital that morning when she said she fed the dog, packed a ballet bag and lay on the floor

Anything else?
What did she mutter to herself once she was inside her front door after the carport interview ?

"Maybe I should invite those reporters in for lunch "

Where did you read that?
It's in the Nightly article, which seems to be sourcing from a Newscorp publication which is probably paywalled, they tend to be. The Nightly is free to read.

EP left Morwell around 5.30pm for the last time. She should be getting close to her (hopefully) forever home shortly.

And heading to single digit temps overnight!

Nah, IMO has to be an Aussie actor. No way do we need another "A dingo's got my baby".
you should watch Apple Cider Vinegar, proof an American (at least one of them) can do an Australian accent. Kaitlyn Dever's accent is flawless

OK, paraphrased from the Herald-Sun:

VIC Justice Department says:

* There was a complaint which was investigated and no action resulted from that

* No evidence of any contaminated food or attempted poisoning at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre

* Patterson was never involved in preparation of fellow inmates' meals

So IMO file this story under TABLOID SENSATIONALIST BS.

A few of us did try to say not to worry basically, the judge was just doing his job & all the "biased" stuff was what Erin had said, it was not his words.
Oh yeah, I wasn't worried about that personally, at that point I was just a bit antsy for him to finish up and let the jury go 😆

Reporter recounts dramatic moment Erin Patterson was convicted of murder | ABC NEWS

I wonder if Erin was drawn to her surname...?
Gotta admit that every time I see the friend's full name I think, "Ali rose prior to what?"

Reminds me of a short poem from school days, with the first name changed:

Ali Rose sat on a tack.
Ali rose.

The CCTV and phone recording played to the jurors

For the first time, we are seeing the CCTV and hearing phone recordings that the jurors were played during the trial.

One video clip shows Erin Patterson discharging herself from the Leongatha hospital in Victoria, against medical advice.

Another CCTV clip shows the leftover beef Wellington being inspected at the hospital.

A phone recording from Dr Chris Webster to the police was also played to the court.

"I have a concern regarding a patient who presented here earlier, but has left the building and is potentially exposed to a fatal toxin from mushroom poisoning," he says.

The place where this incident occured is LEOGANTHA located in Australia having a population roughly around 5,869. Meaning its not really a big town.
<
The incident occurred in July 2023 in the rural town of Leongatha, Victoria, when Patterson invited her former in-laws—Gail and Don Patterson, her estranged husband’s parents—as well as Gail’s sister Heather Wilkinson and Heather’s husband Ian, to lunch at her home. The centerpiece of the meal was Beef Wellington, a dish traditionally made with beef and mushroom paste wrapped in pastry. All four guests fell violently ill shortly after eating; Gail, Don, and Heather died within days, while Ian Wi>
Apparently Erin and her husband were got divorced back in 2020. Her husband was also invited to lunch but didn't showed up.

A little information about the death cap mushroom involved:-<Source>

  • Death caps look like any common small, white mushroom. (Almost like the cheapest mushroom people use for regular consumption in homes. But the difference is that Death Cap mushroom has an elongated top rather than a flattened one like that of normal mushroom. For reference I am attaching a diagrammatic representation of it. View attachment 600329
The newly emerged death cap has a rounded, compact top but as the fungus matures it flattens out.

Channel 7, have pictured Simon, with one of his children, leaving his home, and driving away.

The church followers, are daily going to the small Baptist Church, where Ian Wilkinson is the pastor.
I wish they wouldn't take photos of the children, their names are supressed, I wish it could extent to photos. Makes me so upset for them that they are now open to public scrutiny

Their images would be suppressed along with their names.

IMO

That’s below the belt if the press are taking photos of the kids. IMO. Totally inappropriate.

Are they the same white pants she wore at the service station the day before? The ones she was wearing when she said she did a bush poo?

Erin Patterson hands over phone to police after lunch

By Joseph Dunstan

These photos were taken a week after the lunch, on August 5, 2023.

In it, Erin Patterson is handing over a phone to police after a search of her house.

Prosecutors told the trial the phone, dubbed Phone B, was handed over by Erin in a bid to avoid giving police Phone A, which they said was her usual phone and was never recovered. Erin denied this.

Erin told the trial she ran two factory resets on Phone B because "I knew that there were photos in there of mushrooms and the dehydrator and I just panicked".
