I think that your dads experience at Fairbridge Village is more interesting, subsequent to five minutes of research?

South Yunderup is in the Fairbridge Postcode 6208 and is a canal town at the mouth of the Serpentine River where every house is on a canal, and thus is popular for boat owners, who can tie up their boats and yachts a few metres from their back doors. It's not as expensive as the canal villages in the town of Mandurah either.

They apparently said to Leela's grandparents that they were leaving Nannup to stay in Floreat before traveling to Brazil
I presume that's what Gary told the rest of them, whether they actually did is a mystery

Thanks I missed that. I need to read it on a PC monitor.

So did they return to Nannup between the car sale and heading up to Floreat? The date on the note suggests that they did, but I always assumed they did not. Also, what vehicle were they planning on taking if Tony was giving them a ride?

I can't work out their logistics.

Thanks petedavo, I updated the timeline with a few missing details, and these reports indicate that they did not return to Nannup after selling the car. The letter must have been post-dated the 16th (another red herring).

I have spent quite a bit of time trying to find who the other person was from Massachusetts. I still haven't ruled out Christina's mom's partner of over 30 years as a possibility. He died a year after Christina (his obit is linked upthread). I think I need to get into a newspaper archive.

It's worth noting some of these details have been taken off the short documentary on the first page of the thread. If the POI is local and furnished the TV producers with lies especially around that critical period on 13-14 July – it may be deliberately inaccurate. They jumped in a car in Busselton and Chantelle goes to the bank. I presume they drove back to Nannup because they would have had their wallers with them. How else could Chantelle bank the cheque? Therefore I suspect foul play from the afternoon of 13 July because surely a local person would have seen them later that day - if not on the morning of the 14th and IMO the last person to see them alive.

Quite likely the Floreat thing is confusion. They probably never went back to Floreat in 2007 at all.
A funny thing, is that I got married in a church in Floreat in early 2000's. The priest owned a rental property in Denmark, later selling it. I wonder. I'll ask Reverend DT, if they were the ones that rented his Denmark property. It might give us insight if he knew what reasons they gave to move to Denmark from Floreat, besides Floreat being expensive.

Yes, Centrelink is the Government Welfare Agency. Tony might of been on the dole or a disability pension. Chantele might of been on a partial dole or diddling a single parent pension, and would of got a family supplement payment for Leela. Gary would be unlikely to claim as he's not an Australian citizen and would've been keen to avoid having his Identity checked with British authorities if he made any claim to Centrelink or had to put in a Tax Declaration with the ATO IMO. Likewise I wonder if he ever saw a Dr in Australia? Not having a Medicare card would raise suspicion, if the Dr knew he was a long term resident.

Gary Kadwell was never reported missing by family. Tony Popic worked at the local hardware.

I also wonder if someone who lived close by spoke to the owners and influenced their decision making sequence. The property owner's first names are referenced in the documentary - Beth and Linden. Something is very fishy [emoji226] about the whole scenario reported in MSM.
Too many facts contradict the MSM narrative of events timeline.
I'm inclined to agree with Paul that someone has skewed the story or duped the MSM. Can't be Gary, because he'd expose himself, and anyway There's been no proof of life in the following 10 years. It only leaves a nefarious actor who was on the ground at the time. IMO
