There's a couple of recent selfies appearing of AR in sunglasses - are they ladies sunnies or men's, can anyone tell? Something you'd keep in your bag ....

And she deactivated her FB as soon as it happened.

Thanks Westside_Sleuth. Is this fact or just a rumour? How odd for SR to close her Facebook down when her mother goes missing! You'd think she would want to keep all lines of communication open for even the remotest chance that Karen may try to contact her. Perhaps SR closed her Facebook so that she didn't have to deal with AR.

It seems someone was able to transcribe BR's media statement.

Borce Ristevski (Karen’s husband)

"You know without the knowing, ahh, is the hardest part.

We had a ahh b ahh bit of ahh an argument ahh in regards to, um, the store figures, and um, how she was going to you know improve them, and, she had had a bad day the day before at the store, um, and on the Wednesday morning, um, she just went upstairs, um, and then came downstairs and just went out through the garage, ahh, she might have just walked down the street or just to clear her head because that was the last thing she said to me, um, I’m gonna to go and clear my head, um, can’t do it here.

Just give us a call or give the police a call or y y you know give anyone a call ah just to know you know that you’re safe um, d doesn’t matter what, how, you know, just get a message back to us."

Borce Ristevski’s brother (Karen’s brother-in-law)

"I think think it’s a dream. I wake up 2, 3 o’clock in the morning. Nup it’s real.

She was happy on the 21st. That’s the last time I seen her. We had a good dance. It’s not like her."

In reading this where does walking behind the house on the trail come in?

Where did this originally come from?

Was there an automatic assumption she went on the trail or was it put out there so to speak.

It may have been an assumption because police were searching that area. Wasn't BR quoted as saying Karen often went for a walk by the river? Or was that another family member? Yet BR clearly stated that Karen left by the garage, which is at the front of the house, the day she disappeared. That's why I asked about her being able to walk to the Angler's Tavern from the front of her house as opposed to the walking trail along the river. I also asked if there was a house being built next door to the Ristevski house, thinking that this may have blocked any access that Karen would have otherwise had to the paddock behind the house.

It's confusing isn't it? It reads as though Karen went upstairs on the Wednesday morning (28 June) prior to going for the alleged walk to cool off.

I can no longer edit my post above but 29 June was a Wednesday wasn't it??? :blushing:

It may have been BR or another family member im not certain. If Karen didnt walk onto the trail behind the house, then id be seriously shifting away from a stranger theory.

Police are focusing their search on an area of parkland in Avondale Heights, near a walking track to the rear of her property, which backs onto the Maribyrnong River, where Ms Ristevski is known to walk regularly.

It may just be me but im still at a loss over the CCTV or lack of.

I wonder if footage may be have been deleted unknowingly.

why would all footage ect of Sarah suddenly have disappeared ? Has something happened with her that we aren't YET aware of ?????

Even the 3aw podcast has been pulled as well - nothing.

I've seen this before when certain MSM articles or photos go missing everywhere on the web.
For example there was a pic of Bill Spedding's vehicle parked outside the home where William Tyrrel was abducted.

Before his arrest all reference to this was deleted.

SR has logged into KR's FB though.

3rd July

"I've logged onto her Facebook and contacted all of her friends".

http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/d...-for-help-finding-mother-20160703-gpxclz.html

I took her use of words "logged on" as meaning, she went onto her mums fb profile and went thru her friends list (which are visable) and contacted everyone via PM, hence why many were contacted next day, these friends may not have received her message straight away if they are not frequent fb users, or if Sarahs message went into the approve request area first (which is easy to miss). Otherwise to log onto her mums page she would have to have Karens password.
Also if she had "logged on" to Karens page, I would have thought she would put a great big message along the lines of....... hey everyone this is Sarah, Karens daughter, mum is misssing and we are very worried. Please if you have heard from her or know where she is get in contact with me on (mobile no.) or contact police.

for those that asked if the defence owned land by the Marybrynong river had been checked for Karen.
]Latest article http://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/...g/news-story/5afd2166b930f37fa8b9d993d33741cd
128ha site
The listing stated Defence was negotiating details of the site sale arrangements with Places Victoria and these were expected to be completed during 2016.
“Irrespective of the outcome of these negotiations, Defence is committed to remediating the site prior to its transfer,” it said.
The works will take three to five years to complete.

Unfortunately, I don't think from that article, the Defence site has been searched by police. The remediation work hasn't started but is only in the 'Expressions of Interest' stage.

The Defence site is 128ha in area and Commonwealth (Protected) land, rather than the 60ha of public land police said they had searched (plus the river). There was a search of a second site mentioned in an Herald-Sun article but I'm not sure it eventuated, or that it was specifically the Defence land at Maribyrnong they were referring to:

'Two dozen emergency crew members, including Missing Person Squad detectives and the Special Solo Unit searched public land spanning 60 hectares.

Water Police and SES crews scoured the Maribyrnong River for clues and potentially a body.

Police are expected to widen their search on Friday.'

'THE family of missing Melbourne mum Karen Ristevski are clinging to hope she is still alive, but police say they are not planning to widen the search area for her.

A police spokesman told news.com.au there were no plans to search any other locations aside from the ones currently been scoured by police, SES crews and water police.'

'Police have so far focused attention on the Maribyrnong River and bushland behind the family’s Avondale Heights home.

The Herald Sun reported on Friday that police were planning to focus their search on another location, with detectives hopeful the second search area could lead to a breakthrough in the mystery.

But police said no new searches were planned. The spokesman could not say why the search area would not change when so far nothing had been found in the present locations.'
