What really amazes me is they left PB near the airport for 2 days before moving her!!!!!!! Police searches in that area were too late.

They must have got cocky and thought they haven’t found her yet. Better move her.

PB is 6 foot tall. How did they move her without being seen. I’m guessing at night.

Surely family would have gone and searched the area straight away

I don't think they left her there. I think they took PB to Good Night Scrub, initially to the first location they searched, and then moved her further in (9km away) to the second location. Police were testing the soil from their initial search and were confident PB had passed, likely due to the forensics coming back.

Court documents confirm they interfered with her corpse on 15 May and then moved her to good night scrub 2 days later.

Maybe the reporters have reported it wrong

I’ll try find it but it was in a daily mail article further up in the thread
From Update 5: Missing girl, Bundaberg.

Detectives have charged a 34-year-old man and 33-year-old woman with murder in relation to the disappearance of 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop.

Pheobe has not been seen or heard from since May 15.

Police have conducted several enquiries during their investigations, including multiple searches of Good Night Scrub National Park, forensic examinations of a Gin Gin property and vehicle.

The remains of Pheobe Bishop have not been located to date. Detectives continue to investigate this matter, and physical searches will continue as needed as information is provided.

Both the man and the woman were arrested tonight in the Bundaberg area.

They have been charged with one count each of murder and two counts each of interfering with a corpse.

Update 6: Missing girl, Bundaberg
Police continue to appeal for any information in relation to Pheobe Bishop or the movement of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15 to 18 in the greater Gin Gin area.

As far as I can see, the police haven't named any other locations as crime scenes, which they certainly would have if they thought her body was there.

“However, it will be alleged Pheobe was murdered on Airport Drive in Kensington.

According to court documents seen by The Courier Mail, the housemates then allegedly interfered with the corpse on May 15 in Bundaberg or elsewhere in the state.

The pair are then accused of two days later moving the remains to the Good Night Scrub National Park, south of Gin Gin, where they were found last Friday by police.”

Yes, I think the DM is just assuming she was later moved. As far as I can see, that hasn't been confirmed by police and as I said, no other crime scenes have been listed. I think they moved PB to Good Night Scrub May 15, and again May 17 (as in, to a more concealed, harder to get to area within Good Night Scrub).

It literally says according to court documents. Thats the brief of evidence so far

Do you mean this bit?

"Court documents suggest the 17-year-old was killed on Airport Drive in Kensington"
Look a couple of posts above. Someone has posted the sky article which states she was dumped in Bundaberg and then moved to GNS two days later. I would say the first and second sites in GNS were done in the same night.

Sorry, yes, to be clear, based on the evidence provided by police, PB was seen alive near Airport Drive before she was killed.

What I'm saying is, based on the crime scenes noted by police and the information they have released, including 3 people did not leave the car etc, after PB was killed in the car on Airport Drive, they then drove to Good Night Scrub May 15 and left her remains there, before returning and moving PB again between May 15 - May 18.

I think the cadaver dogs in the original search location found evidence and that's why they took soil samples.

Airport Drive was not listed as a crime scene, and surely it would have been if there was evidence PB was killed and left there (as opposed to killed in the car and not left there).

IMO - I understand we won't know for certain until additional information is released.

Heartbreaking for PBs family regardless of the timeline.

I believe it will be quite some time before everything the police have that warranted the arrests in the first place will be revealed.

I know personally of a high profile murder case several years ago in NSW and not much was revealed at the first 3 - 4 court appearances. It wasn’t until the person charged was trying to get bail due to medical reasons that the police revealed more of the body evidence in order to stop the bail.

Bail was denied obviously.

Sorry unrelated case but just wanted to say

Initial hearing doesn’t say much.. just the basics. No detail.

It says it’s from the court documents. That’s not reporters speculating

What gives me pause about the courier mail's claims is that the information is at odds with what has been reported by the Police themselves during their press conferences.

PB was not left near the airport for two days. According to Police -
  • After her death, Pheobe's body was taken to the Goodnight Scrub NP. (This is the first instance of interfering with a corpse).
  • Days later, her body was moved to a new hiding place, 9km away... still within Goodnight Scrub NP. (This is the second instance of interfering with a corpse).
Lets say that the Courier mail have in fact seen court documents related to this case.
One of three things has happened here:
  • The court documents are wrong.
  • The police provided false information during their press conferences.
  • The courier mail has misinterpreted the court documents or inferred some of the details.
Out of those options, which one do you think is more likely?

Sorry for the wait folks, @findmollie recorded this video for us.
Thank you so much for uploading this!

This video starts by turning onto Samuel's Rd, left onto Childer's Rd, right onto Airport Dr, brief entry/exit into the BMX turn off / dirt road (I didn't feel comfortable going any further given the circumstances), continuing down Airport Dr, and into the Bundaberg Airport.

I then drove through the drop off zone (no flights leaving at this time, so it was relatively empty), right through the roundabout onto Commercial St, round the roundabout back towards Airport Dr, a detour on Aviation Cres to give additional information about the area since it has been built up since the Street View images, and back towards Takalvan St.

Takalvan St turns into Childer's Rd at that intersection but it is the same road.
