Yes, that's the main reason I thought it would be helpful to take the video, that and the video is more up to date than Google Maps etc.
You could have driven down to the BMX track, they're generally open to non members and the public to practice on, from my experience. Understandable about feeling uneasy, though.

Confirmation Pheobe lived with a disability

Quotes from the article linked in MathildaM's post:

"This week rumours have circulated in the Gin Gin community that Pheobe was an NDIS recipient through her mother's company."

...

"'Your disability only defines you if you allow it to and Phee never let hers define her.'

Ms Johnson did not specify what Pheobe's disability was. However, before she disappeared, the teen had shared a post to TikTok about bipolar disorder.

'Having a partner with bpd means... getting blocked or left over small incidents... they will say very harsh things they don't mean when having an episode,' the post said, apparently in an attempt to explain her sometimes unpredictable behaviour.
Ms Johnson previously said Pheobe 'didn't fit the mainstream school model' and struggled with her education until she was enrolled at the alternative Y School in Bundaberg.

Pheobe's final posts to social media suggested the troubled teen had fallen out with her mother and would not return home. She also claimed in text messages to her aunt, Caz Johnson, that her mum had told her to 'get out'."

Hypothetically, if PB was an NDIS recipient (which it is just a rumour reported on by the Daily Mail), would that mean TB could have been her carer? And, hypothetically, if so, could this have been linked to a possible motive? Such as, a loss of income? If PB blurted out that she wasn't coming back. Or, perhaps, a threat of exposure? Or both?

hypothetically it’s a motive that makes sense.

I think this is a solid theory. Could the tensions have been heightened because they were in the process of being evicted, and PB was not cooperating with a plan to continue any carer arrangement in place that was providing TB with income?

Also to note, as has been mentioned previously, bpd refers to borderline personality disorder, not bipolar disorder.

Early on in this case we theorised that Phoebe may have been extorted for rent money, and her announcing near the airport that she didn't plan on ever coming back from Perth could have lead to the attack. It seems we were not that far off.

Frustrating that the media continue to get this wrong:

For reference, that behaviour is common trait of Borderline Personality Disorder (Not Bipolar).

BBM.

Excellent theory. I wonder if that income might, over time, have come anywhere near the "5k" that JW mentioned.

Also possible that PB might have raised the possibility of "taking back" that income that, in her view, TB might not have rightfully earned. Not easy to have your personal piggybank decide it's in her best interests to move on and out and (ideally) far, far away.

What gives me pause about the courier mail's claims is that the information is at odds with what has been reported by the Police themselves during their press conferences.

PB was not left near the airport for two days. According to Police -
  • After her death, Pheobe's body was taken to the Goodnight Scrub NP. (This is the first instance of interfering with a corpse).
  • Days later, her body was moved to a new hiding place, 9km away... still within Goodnight Scrub NP. (This is the second instance of interfering with a corpse).
Lets say that the Courier mail have in fact seen court documents related to this case.
One of three things has happened here:
  • The court documents are wrong.
  • The police provided false information during their press conferences.
  • The courier mail has misinterpreted the court documents or inferred some of the details.
Out of those options, which one do you think is more likely?
I guess without seeing court documents no one can say whether what has been reported as being in them is correct or not.
We shall see as time goes on

It was also mentioned that there were anniversaries of three deaths the week she went missing. It stands to reason she may have been elevated and a bit overwhelmed grieving and travelling interstate IMOO.

At 17 can you not receive your own hypothetical payments?

At 18 years you are an adult in QLD and this would likely have entailed a reassessment if she was under a NDIS provider. Perhaps PB wanted to change and leave NDIS and be independent, I don’t believe you can claim Centrelink (welfare assistance towards rent for example) if receiving support for assisted independent living under the NDIS. PB wouldn’t have seen any $ under NSIS in her bank account (pocket). No NDIS at 18 years means PB would have received $ directly from the govt for ‘crossover’ services and not be dependent on an NDIS provider.

For more clarity as I waffled:
- NDIS payments would not have gone to Pheobe, straight to the service providers
- welfare payments would go directly to Pheobe to spend as she chose
- you can’t claim both for the same service, for example if an NDIS plan included supported independent living including rental assistance, wouldn’t pay rent assistance

You can get both NDIS and Centrelink but no double dipping.

A one could hypothetically either receive NDIS or Centrelink but not both?

An adult may qualify for disability payments - they go directly to the individual to help cover accommodation and living costs. I believe is around $1200 per fortnight, rent assistance might also be applicable.

The individual can still qualify for a NDIS plan to cover the assistance needed to navigate life while claiming a disability pension through Centrelink - therapies, physical aids, assistive technology, caters etc pending the impact of the disability. All NDIS plans vary as they are customised to the individuals needs. NDIS payments do not go to the individual but to third parties and it is difficult but not impossible to claim assistance for living related expenses.

My opinion only as the mother of a young adult who receives a DP from Centrelink and also has a current NDIS plan

“However, it will be alleged Pheobe was murdered on Airport Drive in Kensington.

According to court documents seen by The Courier Mail, the housemates then allegedly interfered with the corpse on May 15 in Bundaberg or elsewhere in the state.

The pair are then accused of two days later moving the remains to the Good Night Scrub National Park, south of Gin Gin, where they were found last Friday by police.”

I'm still totally confused as to why the police first searched in the area they did in Goodnight Scrub, why they then searched in exactly the correct place a couple of days later, why they allege that she was killed on Airport Drive and why they can so categorically state that TB and JW moved the body twice. I don't expect that the public should know the ins and outs but why, if they won't say why/how they searched where they did, will they state so clearly as an allegation rather than a suspicion what they believe? The only part that makes sense to me is that they presumably found forensic evidence in the first area whichj proved that poor Pheobe had been there and was no more Where do all the other 'facts' come from?

Is that for the weapons charge?
Yes, it would be the weapons and explosives charges from 29th May.

“James Wood, 34, has been issued with a notice to appear in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on June 13.

He is facing one count each of unlawful possession of weapons and unauthorised possession of explosives.”
