Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a flight from Queensland, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025 *Arrests* #4

  • #381
I have searched and searched and can't find any "police" media where they state Pheobe was seen on cctv near the bmx track .Do you know when this was stated by police? Also the police never stated who the three people in the car were, just that there were 3 people in the car and no one exited the car.
It’s in the first police media conference after the arrests. He stated she was last seen alive on Airport Drive.

Her being killed at home. She was last seen alive on cctv near the BMX track
That's alleged according to current police reports. It's not proved yet. LE cannot "prove" the facets of the investigation.

I think it's possible that they used cell phone records to place her in the car. Three figures appear inside the car but are not easy to identify.

They just arrested someone for using Phoebe's phone to interfere with (mislead) the investigation. That third person had possession of Phoebe's phone, according to what LE is now saying. They have not recovered the phone.

Huh? Police aren’t going to say in a media conference after the arrests were made that she was last seen alive there if they don’t have footage of her alive there. It was said as a direct response to a question from media.

Police directly reported in the press conference that CCTV has captured her alive near the BMX track at their press conference - all language is alleged until it's 'proven' in court, but a police citing CCTV evidence is pretty solid/not likely up for conjecture.

Pheobe Bishop: Allegedly murdered teen’s family shut down fundraiser

“Pheobe Bishop’s family is set to shut down a fundraiser set up to honour the allegedly murdered teen.

Her mother, Kylie Johnson, confirmed the move on social media on Sunday night, saying all the funds would be donated to organisations that had helped her daughter, the Bundaberg SES and Y School Bundaberg, where Pheobe attended.

Established by Tracey Berends and approved by Pheobe’s family, the Go Fund Me raised $8355 of its $17,000 target via 200 donations.”

They've done a fantastic job, but not sure I'd want to live there!
My thoughts exactly.

Hoping the "sad air" in the house is gone so that fresh air can come in.
(Not well said by me, but hoping good things will happen in that house.)

Paywall :(

But the headline says it all:

"Exclusive court documents
have revealed

Kieren Mittelheuser allegedly knew about the murder of Pheobe Bishop
and helped the accused evade justice."

The fact that one of his charges are drug possession all but confirms our initial suspicion that drugs were involved somehow. Not necessarily with PB but the accused. Drug users tend to hang out together

It appears the Go Fund Me didn't take off as expected.

Also
the state of the house indicates it IMO.

There is a saying:

reflects
the chaos in the mind".

Totally agree. I think this is the first time where any connection to drugs have been reported though so hopefully that means the post won't be removed

Kieren Mittelheuser, the man charged with knowing about accused murderers

Exclusive court documents have revealed Kieren Mittelheuser allegedly knew about the murder of Pheobe Bishop and helped the accused evade justice.

Fresh court documents have shown that police allege between May 14 and July 2, at Bundaberg and elsewhere in Queensland, that Mr Wood and Ms Bromley had committed the offence.

Police allege Mittelheuser helped the duo in order to enable them to escape punishment as he applied to use a Commonwealth Bank debit card belonging to Pheobe Bishop on May 15, the day she went missing.

The documents have also revealed that he was found in possession of methamphetamine on May 19 and he is also facing additional charges of fraud and drug possession. He has not entered any pleas.

Applied to use her card??? What does that mean?

Does this also insinuate her murder was planned prior to that date rather than a sudden event as we have thought?

Maybe it means he TRIED to use the card, but was unsuccessful? 🤔

There were reports that the victim's bank account was inactive while she was missing.

But his attempts might have been recorded somehow?

Very weird wording but not unusual for media I guess. Her card would have been flagged as soon as she was reported missing to police. It would seem the police maybe already knew about the attempted use earlier but had to let it play out to lead to the main arrests?

That's why I said alleged according to.

People are alleging/inferring from the investigation. Which does not constitute proof of anything.

I am not disputing that the police have evidence. I haven't seen it. My idea is that I might be on a jury some day. LE is going to say what it sees in the evidence.

But that is not "proof" nor, unless a Judge rules it, it's also not evidence. It's investigation.

I'm a little confused by all this if im honest.

If the police have CCTV footage of PB alive on airport drive (which they themselves have stated) then I don't see how it isn't "proof" that she was alive at that point / or that it can be disputed at all. They aren't saying someone saw her alive there. They are saying they themselves have seen footage of PB on CCTV alive on Airport Drive on the day she went missing.
