I think that script may be very intentionally worded and directed at one particular person.

The 'Phoebe was...' right at the beginning, a clear announcement that we *know* she's dead and then some attempt at hoping for the best doesn't make sense. I think the gist of it is 'we know she's dead and we know you know what happened, you're a mother too, so speak up as I need to put my child to rest now'.

JMO MOO.

Yes. The police may very well have asked Pheobe's mum to do a public appeal. It happens. When they need a boost with the investigation. When they want someone to make a move. Or for another specific reason.

imo

Is it just me or does she seem "dry" and unemotional ...
She doesn't seem to be upset , almost like she's reading a script .
For anyone questioning emotion or lack of it as evidence of anything one way or another, please remember the famous Australian case of Lindy Chamberlain - she was criticised for what seemed to be her lack of emotion, jailed for the death of her daughter, and later exonerated. The demeanour of a person is not reliable evidence.

Re mother's appeal and suggestions by some here that it was directed to somebody
(script intentionally worded, etc.)

I don't think such tactics will bring results.

Only hard Police work
and searching for evidence can solve this case.

It seems there is not enough or any at all to charge anyone.

Both the house and car were examined & released.
And still nothing happened.

What about cctv?

What exactly was found in the GN Scrub Park?

🤔

I did think it was unusual that the video appeal didn't show the police as well, because I had thought in an appeal often police are side by side with the family member. Also the video hasn't been posted by police or referred to by them. An appeal is an appeal, but I just wondered why.

Just my observations.

But...
wasn't the alleged argument heard on the 15th at 5 a.m.?
When Police were called by a neighbour? 🤔
(as reported)

I have a feeling it was about finances.
Things discussed before the trip.
Like settling financial issues connected with renting/food, cost of living there.

As I've already written in a post above.

I hadn’t heard about police being called at 5am … where was this reported ?

You answered my question whether or not LE endorsed the appeal.

I'm not sure. They may have had their reasons for not appearing or posting it.

Notice the flags behind her, and the police insignia at the top right of the video. This was an officially driven appeal. imo

She ends her appeal with all of the usual police jargon about "you can report anonymously, or via Crime Stoppers" etc.

Do we know who else lives in the house that Phoebe was staying at ?

Way back upthread. I do not remember the phrase 'blood curdling' being used though. Just a female scream. Could be wrong. I thought the neighbours called LE about the dogs barking.

It sounds to me that it could have been a bit of a party house at times. I also wondered who else may have been crashing there, or crashed there on the 14th/15th .... or was awake there all night.

Tough thing to do. Not sure I could under the circumstances.

I noticed she had to take a breath here and there. As if she might break down. She did very well in remaining clear and concise in reading the script that was in front of her.

I think she understood the importance of what she was saying. Trying her best to get some resolution to her daughter's disappearance, under direction. They obviously (from her words) want to know where Pheobe is, more than anything else.

imo

Yes, I’d also like to understand Phoebe’s connection to the two adults mentioned. Why was she living there? Was she staying there with someone else who lived there ?Were there any other teenagers living there as well?

IMO

If whoever knows what happened
I think this info would have already reached Police.

Either someone wants to tell or doesn't want to tell.

Or simply nobody knows.

Oh good observation about the insignia. The flags meant it was obviously somewhere official. But I hadn't noticed the insignia.

Just returning to this detail ….

8:30am on the 15th allegedly dropping PB at the airport.

The Daily Mail states it takes 40mins to drive from Bundaberg back to Gin Gin …..

10:30am
back in Gin Gin as per above link and quote

That only leaves 1hr and 20mins to possibly harm and dispose of PB .
(assuming she is not in the boot of the car or similar at that
10:30am sighting)

So much emphasis on the 8:30am start of the timeline…. But what if it is all an attempt to create an alibi and there is nothing truthful in the last sighting of PB???

IMO
If LE found nothing in the car or the house, I think PB was harmed/disposed of (sorry) elsewhere because these folks would leave trace evidence IMO- they are not detail oriented. IMO.
