Not if you'd had an accident and were a bit delirious. Or drunk. Or drugged, or running from someone/something.In these cases where a car is found disabled, and the (presumed) driver is missing, people always immediately suggest that the person fell down a mine shaft or into an oil well or into a ravine or some such. But why would anyone wander off the road and into the wilderness/fields/desert? If your car were disabled and you intended to walk to get help, wouldn't you follow the roads and maybe try to flag down passing drivers?
