Gable Tostee has been bailed on a $200,000 surety, put up by his parents. He has promised to stay off Tinder and away from alcohol.

Strict conditions indeed!

As I said before - who *really* believes the Tostee parents will enforce bail conditions? They seem to have simply thrown money and lawyer after lawyer at his problems, so far. How on earth could the judge NOT consider that, and his general lack of respect for authority? How???!!!

Gotta bite my lip now, for Marley's sake. ;) And my own. >>

Wow! Really. He promised?

Gable Tostee bail application: Accused Gold Coast balcony killer freed on bail over the alleged murder of Warriena Wright

Lawyers for the 28-year-old Gold Coast man yesterday made a bid for Tostee to be freed on bail yesterday, promising the alleged murderer would abstain from alcohol, quit Tinder, and move in with his parents.

However, Mr Tostee's solicitor Soraya Ryan rejected the argument, saying her client locked Ms Wright out because he was trying to protect himself.

It doesn't matter what the deceased thought [Mr Tostee] was going to do to her. She may well have been screaming fiercely because she feared he would throw her off the balcony," she told the court.

"Whatever the deceased thought, she was wrong. [Mr Tostee] shut her out of his apartment on the balcony. He separated her from him. The threat she may have feared was not realised."

OMG! :gaah:

:thud:

No consideration taken by the judge that perhaps BIG Gabe could have pushed LITTLE Rrie out the front door instead ?? .... it is a teeny apartment, not far to the front door .. let her go home as she was begging to do!!!

Ohhhhhhh ... this is not good. :scared:

This bail thing doesn't bode well for the trial. :( In my head, there's choice words for QLD 'justice' and lax Aussie courts in general. A few more than usual, today. I am so saddened by this decision, and the underestimation of how sick Tostee actually is.

It's like we haven't learned ANYthing from people like Adrian Bayley and Peter Dupas... lives may, no WOULD, have been saved, if they were kept locked up for the FIRST crime. Or the second, third, fourth...

So my rage against this system has a new poster boy. Thanks, Debra Mullins.

With Christmas and New Year coming up, there is no way he will keep away from the booze. Let alone staying away from Tinder.
I am really worried.

Thinking of Rrie's family and friends. :grouphug:

Gable Tostee will also have to undergo random breath testing to ensure he stays off the booze

No random breath testing required in jail ... :sigh:

Accused playboy balcony killer will be banned from using any social media to hook up with women as part of strict bail conditions - judge

So, so disappointed .... as if his loyal friends and family won't help him out .... :sigh:

Gable #Tostee will submit to random alcohol breath tests. He's banned from meeting women on all social media outlets.

pffft. alcoholic. sex addict. mummy and daddy won't or can't force treatment. Yup, disaster waiting to happen. In a way I HOPE he breaks conditions. Just, without hurting anyone else :(

Strict bail condition for #tostee on bail - no alcohol, no tinder, under parental supervision, curfew & report to police @9NewsBrisbane

Tostee's parents have out up a $200k surety to help reduce flight risk

Not even an ankle bracelet required ..... I'd hate to see Debra Mullins' lenient bail conditions.

He's an alcoholic who uses home made 'white spirit', how in the hell is that going to be supervised?
He's obviously a sex addict, he's been in gaol, how is that going to be supervised?
I'm betting his parents won't cope, I wouldn't be impressed with that neighbour in a gated community.
What? Back to work laying carpets with daddy? Maybe a big NZ kiwi wants some Axminster spread around his lounge room.
