Good one.

Not even an ankle bracelet required ..... I'd hate to see Debra Mullins' lenient bail conditions.

I wonder if there's a way we could check out her previous court decisions. Seriously. Is this habitual?

TOSTEE GETS BAIL
Gable Tostee bail application: Accused Gold Coast balcony killer freed on bail over the alleged murder of Warriena Wright
43 MINUTES AGO NOVEMBER 19, 2014 10:38AM

ACCUSED balcony killer Gable Tostee has been granted bail over the murder of a New Zealand tourist who fell from his balcony while the pair were on a Tinder date.
Supreme Court Justice Debra Mullins handed down her decision this morning, allowing the 28-year-old Gold Coast man to be freed after spending three months behind bars before his trial commences next year... :(

when is he due back in court to face the other charges?

Judge Mullins said Tostee had agreed to participate in an alcohol rehab program but did not want to be screened for alcohol on any day except Sunday.

Applicant is upset about what people are saying about him on social media,” she said, adding that Tostee was incredibly focused on himself.

She said she was satisfied it would be unjust for Tostee to remain in custody before the trial.

Defence QC Soraya Ryan asked for court-ordered suppression of the name of the alcohol rehab centre Tostee will attend.

Judge Mullins ordered affidavits that include doctor’s report and an audio recording be placed in an envelope and not opened except by order of a court or judge.

This is a slap in the face to our wonderful boyz in blue - I'm furious. He's been a menace in society and this death of a beautiful woman was waiting to happen.

Daddy was told there was a dead girl at the bottom of his apartment block AND HE DROVE HIS SON AWAY WHILE INNOCENT BYSTANDERS HAD TO COPE WITH THE SITUATION! Turning a blind eye again? There's no excuse for this act. I'm disgusted.

Enabling fathers NBC fits this example and his son is a murderer too.

Tostee has been treated by a psychiatrist since 2009 for “insecure social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and depression”, Judge Mullins said.

He also has a history of attention deficit disorder.

Judge Mullins said Tostee “seems to have quarantined himself” from his involvement with Ms Wright in the five and a half hours before her death.

She said his defence of the charges did not explain his apparent lack of expressing regret and noted that he did not phone emergency services after she fell.

Instead he phoned his lawyer, then his father.

Just taking a quick peek ...

Justice Debra Mullins bailed this dangerous sex offender.

A dangerous sex offender who committed an armed robbery of an adult store while on strict parole conditions has been released on bail.

Both psychiatrists expressed concerns at Speechley's ability to comply with the current supervision order.

http://www.mako.org.au/tyrone_speechley.html

And Justice Debra Mullins let this child sex offender go (completely) because she didn't like that the AFP paid for the victim to remain in Australia as a witness.

A decision on whether to dismiss child-sex charges against former Solomon Islands Attorney-General Julian Moti is not expected until next month.

44-year-old Julian Moti allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in Noumea and Vanuatu in 1997.

However, Mr. Moti succeeded, after an expensive court battle, when Justice Debra Mullins granted him a permanent stay of proceedings in the Brisbane Supreme Court on 17 December, citing payments to witnesses by the Australian Federal Police, the quantum being "an affront to the public conscience."

Can't find anything decisively good for the victims that Justice Debra Mullins has done.

Looking, looking, Amee ... I want to know how long he will be out of jail, too.

Maybe someone else can help find his next court date re: the car chase? I think he is being tried in NSW and Qld for that case.

His next appearance for the murder trial is January 12th.

going by this link they are all on the same day? This is all I could find

Magistrate Kerry McGee adjourned the matter until January 12 for a committal mention

Tostee was also facing charges of obstructing police, public nuisance and interstate motor vehicle offences.

Those matters have also been adjourned to January 12.

.....omg.

And he CAN freely continue his sex addicted predatory, rapey behaviour -- as long he already KNOWS the girls? Because knowing them means they're totes safe, eh, Mullins?

Needs her such&such head read.

Also, TYVM on those prior rulings. Reading them, I almost wonder if the defense angled to make sure he got the 'right' judge. I am still fuming about her repeated references to his non-existent 'autism'.

Where's Derryn Hinch, when we need him?

The alleged murderer has been given strict and unusual bail conditions:

- Tostee must live with his parents in their Carrara home.

- A strict curfew has been imposed, meaning he must be home between 10pm and 4am.

- He is no to consume alcohol and must paricipate in a rehab program and undergo “random breath testing”.

- He is not allowed to use dating app Tinder, or use any form of social media to make arrangements to arrange meetings with any women he had not met before bail was granted.

There is dispute about what happened before the fall. Prosecutors say Ms Wright slapped him, before he squeezed her throat and dragged her to the balcony, where he locked her outside. The case against Mr Tostee is that Ms Wright was so terrified of him and possible further violence that she fell trying to climb over the balcony to safety.

However, the Gold Coast contract carpet-layer’s defence team argues he was merely trying to protect himself from the young woman who had turned violent, slapping him and hitting him with a solid object.

“At 2.21am, a fading scream is heard,” Justice Mullins said of the recording that will be a crucial piece of evidence when the matter goes to trial, probably in 2016.

Justice Mullins said she was still troubled by Mr Tostee’s focus on himself, rather than regret or distress about what happened on Ms Wright.

In the moments after her fall, Mr Tostee called his lawyer, and then his father. He never rang emergency services.

The toxicology and autopsy reports on Ms Wright are not yet available."

"The applicant [Mr Tostee] is upset about what people are saying about him on social media," she said.

"He wants to be on bail so he can resume his job and earn the funds to pay his legal expenses."

Mr Tostee had two alcohol-related run-ins with police in the year before Ms Wright's death, including an incident when he allegedly sped from NSW police. But Justice Mullins said the risk of alcohol

being a factor in future reoffending was being addressed by his proposed rehabilitaiton program.

These are not strict!
Are these Bail Conditions, or Parenting Rules for bad teens?
