I'm tipping Tostee will take the stand by Friday.
And can you explain how/why when he takes the stand (if he does) is of any significance?

I think it is something you use to fix a pergola with... . ........
Thursday, Friday...Monday.....what does it matter which day?
I was talking about what he said, the words he chose. No comparison to the example you just gave - he used a specific cause, you used a general cause. And I most certainly would not expect an innocent person to say that. Not. at. all.
BBM - bolded by me
It doesn't matter which day. It could be Tuesday. Who cares? I don't. If Tostee does take the stand he's only going to dribble lies, lies and more lies in my opinion.
Ta on the BBM.
I would expect that anyone in the immediate presence and alone when some person somehow manages to fall from said person's 14th Floor balcony to say exactly that to their Father when first advising the Father that the person had obviously met their death falling from said balcony. If they had nothing to do with it, I would wonder why, at the very first opportunity, they did not express innocence. It's is like the 'recent complaint' concept in a rape accusation where judicial eyebrows are raised quizzically if a complainant, at the first reasonable opportunity fails to complain of rape.
The wonderful place that Websleuths is...we can all have different opinions. So I happily decline to agree and respect your right to not agree with me. We clearly have very different thoughts about what is to be expected in a situation like this. It's the linguistics I have an issue with, not that he declined responsibility. It's the SPECIFIC words he chose. My expectation would be for someone to describe to me, recall, what happened. She did this, I did this, etc. He instead stated he didn't push her. Innocent until proven guilty does not mean people can't have opinions. Expecting someone to lie on the stand does not equate to Tostee not getting a fair trial.

One size does not fit all. Different people react in different ways. What would be the point in going into a nuts and bolt discussion with the Father when all he (or anyone like him) wanted to do was get with the Father as soon possible after providing the Father with a broad explanation for the telephone call in the 'wee' hours.
Maybe a pizza party too?
