Latest police theory on William Tyrrell to be probed at inquest

A court has heard new information about a search conducted three years ago to find missing boy William Tyrrell.

“The determination of this inquest at this stage is to concentrate on facts,” Mr Craddock said.

“Insofar as advocates wish to put forward inferences, they can do so, so long as they take into account all of the evidence and provide Your Honour with assistance – not of opinions – but of proper fact findings processes.”

The high-profile 2021 search of land at the corner of Batar Creek Rd and Cobb and Co Rd, where police suspect William’s body was dumped, displayed a “further level of intensity and minute planning” than already thorough searches conducted in the past, the court heard.

Even still it did not find fresh evidence at the site located a short trip from Benaroon Dr, Mr Craddock revealed to the court.

Mr Craddock told the inquest on Monday there were two other people – the Crabbes – on Benaroon Dr who also told police of hearing a car on the street that morning.

It was determined the car was heard by the Crabbes about 10.08am to 10.13am, which was around the time William was meant to have disappeared.

“People in Benaroon Drive sometimes hear cars entering their territory by reason of their infrequency,” Mr Craddock said.

“And although some have said no cars were heard on the morning of 12 September … Mrs Crabbe has given compelling evidence there was at least one car heard on Benaroon Drive.”

I am guessing by Mr Craddock's tone that the sound of that vehicle is not going to be when the truck driver saw FM's vehicle. (And the Crabb's already said it sounded like postie's vehicle ... whatever vehicle the postie had, Mr Craddock would know)

imo

I agree.

Going by the police theory & I guess this is why they are saying these times, when she was seen the FFC has done just as she said, drove down & drove back & was seen by a truck. IMO

I am also wondering if they are actually trying to disprove the Police Theory by testing it in the coroners court??? (Similar situation to BS)

All I see is NSWPF forking out more of our tax payer dollars, seems they just don't learn.

On Ten News on TV they said the truck driver will give evidence on Wednesday

In an earlier, separate court proceeding it was revealed that Sergeant Scott Jamieson told the foster mother during a police interview more than two years ago: “We know why, we know how, we know where he is.

“We aren’t guessing, we aren’t bluffing.

“We are saying we know what happened and why it happened and where [his body] is.”

So they were bluffing & under oath IMO

William Tyrrell’s Spider-Man suit would have taken hundreds of years to break down and no traces of the little boy were found during a painstaking forensic search of the Kendall area, an inquest has heard.

From your link

Water science expert Professor Jon Olley was brought in by NSW Police as a consultant during the dig.

“In summary it was fair to say the search described was extremely thorough,” asked barrister John Stratton SC, who is appearing for William’s foster parents.

“It was an extremely thorough search,” Professor Olley said.

He told the court that a polyester suit similar to the Spider-Man outfit William was wearing on the day he disappeared would have taken centuries to degrade.

“The estimate is hundreds of years,” Professor Olley said.

William Tyrrell inquest: police suspect foster mother buried toddler after accidental death

Wild dogs may have taken any remains of three-year-old if he was buried in nearby bushland, deputy NSW coroner Harriet Grahame hears

The inquest on Monday heard from Prof Jon Olley, a Griffith University expert in geomorphology, who described the extensive 2021 search.

He said layers of vegetation and sediment were removed at designated locations downstream from the property where Tyrell was last seen.

Vegetation and soil were excavated and searched up to 10 metres from the edge of Battar Creek Road, River Oaks Drive and Cobb and Co Road.

Soil in buckets was examined by hand and water was pumped from the nearby creek.

Animal bones were found but no bones or clothing belonging to William were located, Olley said.

The expert said the vegetation was so thick it would have been impossible for anyone to travel too deep into the bush.

He said through consultation with another expert it was determined wild dogs could have taken William’s bones if they had been placed within the search area.

“I wrote an email to a wild dogs expert and asked him a series of questions which related to whether, if remains were there, could they have been removed from the site by animals. And he responded saying ‘absolutely, yes’.”

If she had moved him their would be forensic evidence in what ever she moved him in you would think?

Unlikely IMO

Im not sure, i more thought how she could have found the time to move him it without being seen.

This is where i get stuck.

Going through your timeline tho. None of her times are consistent or very firm. And why did no one else see the cars including ff and fgm or neighbours
Her story doesnt add up. But if she did move him why wasnt/hasnt he been found.

Imo

That doesn’t seem to be part of the policy theory.
I know. I just dont see how she could have found somewhere that good to hide him that he was never found. In such a short rushed time.

She says he was taken, how does she know he was taken? What evidence does she have?

If it were my child i wouldnt rule anything out without evidence. I wouldnt want any stone left unturned

All imo

New Article ……..

Pedophile Frank Abbott – who was a person of interest in William’s disappearance but cleared by police – watched the inquest from a cell at Long Bay prison telling Ms Grahame he wanted to give further evidence.

That is certainly new information …. IMO

Yes it is. Wonder if we will hear how they apparently cleared him?

If he has been (supposedly) cleared, why is he sitting in prison being given AV access to the inquest? Doubtful that the prison system would go to that effort for a cleared POI.

I am guessing that the Coroner has not cleared him, it is just another police opinion. Or the journalist has his POIs mixed up.

imo
