Australia Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard - Kendall (NSW) #79

Yes JLZ, but he didn't name a Mazda (FGM car) as one of those he encountered;
and the FM didn't observe/mention an excavator on the back.
Maybe she saw him on the way to collect the excavator.

I need to know what Michelle, whose Cobb & Co Rd property it was, said about this whole episode. For example how closely did he "follow" her down to her place? And also whether the blonde lady was identified (existed?) And where PB went afterwards, and who saw him.

Maybe she saw him on the way to collect the excavator.
JMO - In that possible event - It would be useful to know what time he had arranged to meet the property owner where he was to pick up the excavator:

"He then met up with the woman, Michelle, whose property he was collecting the excavator from and followed her to Cobb and Co Rd.
There he loaded the yellow excavator onto his truck and snaked his way out of town at low speed.
He turned left onto Batar Creek Rd and saw two cars as he made his way out of town."

Has FFC been pinned down on the direction they each were travelling? I thought she was still driving south and the truck was oncoming, not passing from behind.

I don't understand that last part. He turned left after collecting the excavator, which is towards the centre of Kendall. So he saw the cars up near Albert St, if he then headed west? Or he saw them east of the railway, on the way back east to Kew? Nowhere near where FFC said she was. Did he see no cars at all in Batar Creek Road?

Except police said they had a brand new witness and were acting on new evidence.

Are you referring to the woman in Herons Creek?

There was allegedly new evidence in 2021….. long after we heard about the woman from Herrons Creek ….

September 2021 New Witness or New Evidence

When asked whether police decided to renew efforts after receiving a fresh lead, Chief Superintendent Bennett agreed but would not comment further.

He was also probed about new information the force reportedly received in September which pointed to a previous suspect being questioned again.

“This is in relation to information we have received, no doubt about that. There is an investigative review that has been undertaken as an ongoing process but there is also new evidence,” he said.

That would be in relation to investigating FFC. They came up with a bunch of stuff, but whether any of it is relevant to finding out what happened to William is, let us say, doubtful.

Yes and I query where is this witness??? And what is the new information, because so far, we have not heard about it from the inquest ….

Are you inferring a new witness from "new information . . . received"? I don't read anything there about a new witness.

No …. I was referring to the “new information” from the witness …
There has been no startling new evidence revealed at the new inquest to date …. IMO …
A type of “new information” that could initiate the “big dig” or requires the years that have passed since, to investigate ….
It seems like a big “nothing burger” ….

New article

She was told by NSW Crime Commissioner Michael Barnes at the commencement of the hearing that: 'You have no right to silence.

''He told her she had no right to refuse to answer questions, and if she gave a false answer she could go to jail for up to five years.

'Our primary objective is to recover William’s body and to allow it to be respectfully interred, to accept he is gone and won’t be coming back,' the Commissioner told her

'We all accept you loved William and would not have intentionally done him harm.

'We all accept accidents can happen and even the most organised persons .. can be forced to make snap decisions.

'If that is what happened on the day William went missing, this is your chance to safely and privately explain that.'

Both the foster mother and father were later charged with lying to the NSW Crime Commission, and both were acquitted.

The foster mum was also asked: 'Did you find his body and realise he has died and there's no point calling emergency services?'

Another question asked of SD was: 'I want to suggest to you what happened that day was William went around on that verandah and toppled over and it was nobody's fault'.

Each of the questions were accompanied by the foster mother's steadfast denials of having any knowledge of Tyrrell's disappearance, injury, disappearance and death.

And this from linked article above

In the video, counsel assisting the NSW Crime Commission, Sophie Callan is heard asking the foster mother why she didn't check the verandah of the Kendall house on the NSW Mid North Coast when William went missing.

She replies: 'It never occurred to me to look on the verandah'.

Ms Callan then asks: 'In different statements about that, the clearest account is in the crime scene walk through, (when you said you were) looking for William outside the house, you looked under the verandah, in the ferns.

'Did you find him there?' she asked.

The foster mother responded: 'No'.

The foster mother was also asked about discrepancies in one of her accounts that she was outside on the verandah when William vanished, and the version that nine people, including her siblings, said she'd been inside making tea when he vanished.

Ms Callan asked: 'Do you accept it’s possible you were in fact inside making tea when William disappeared?'.

Foster mother: 'I don’t know … yes it’s a possibility.'

No, I think him saying leaving town is misleading. He saw them shortly after he turned left onto BC rd as he was 'leaving town'. Not as he was actually leaving 'the town'.

This article explains more clearly.

After he picked up the excavator, he said he saw a grey dual-cab ute loaded with tools and a 5-series BMW coming towards him on Batar Creek Road.

So the inquest has heard 4 hours of the NSWCC hearing, and what the media can print is what we have all read before?

Hoping they are allowed to tell us more - because, so far, there has been nothing new.

imo

so far, there has been nothing new.

Cannot say that I'm surprised. Again, given the NSW Police's record and propensity for leaking stuff, IMO anything new would have been 'out there' already.

I'm still waiting to hear the NSW Police's 'evidence' to the Inquest supporting those proposed charges. What happened to that?

I was at the Inquest today, and the Coroner made it clear that strict non-disclosure laws apply to the NSWCC videos that were viewed in court today. Although I have read a few media reports this afternoon, and the media have reported on some of the information contained in the videos, so perhaps journos can somehow reveal that information. I am confused!

Dan Box was in court today, also Michael Usher and Gary Jubelin. Ally Chumley was in court. The bio Mum was there with her little baby and also the bio Dad.

Agree… wa are all waiting for that …

New article
On Monday, as the inquest into William’s disappearance reopened for a fifth round of evidence, the counsel assisting Gerard Craddock SC said the focus would be on a theory the foster mother was involved in unlawfully disposing of the child’s body after his accidental death.

As part of the evidence presented to support that theory, police on Thursday played a video of an interview with the foster mother conducted by the NSW Crime Commission in October 2021.

Guessing the coroner ruled it was not allowed to be reported, if there was indeed anything in that interview to support the “theory”???.

Or that there is nothing to support their theory …

Maybe the journos will be having their legals look at their notes, then they will report more, if they can. Their legals will understand what they can and can't report.

So far, there doesn't seem to be any evidence of anything.
