Here is a map link showing the distance between where the body was found, and where Adrienne went missing around the same time Saturday morning:

(I see Mamacita covered the full map here! Awesome :) )

Saturday, June 15th

3:00am – Last seen by roommates when she left to go to boyfriend’s home. (1) Her apartment is on Ash Avenue (6)
3:44am – Police received a 911 call that Adrienne’s car had hit a median at Ash & Rio Salado Parkway. Passerby saw car driving erratically behind her, so she moved over and let the car pass. (4)
4:10-4:17am – Adrienne’s cell phone called the boyfriend 11 times, but he didn’t answer. (4)
4:30am – Person driving to work found naked woman’s body in the street. Not sure if this is related. Near McClintock and Baseline. (2)
4:43 or 4:47am – Text sent from Adrienne’s phone to boyfriends phone said she was going to his house. (1 & 4)
5:00am – Last seen near Brown & Roosevelt streets. (3) Another reports states last seen at this location at 4:30am (7)
5:05am – Police said Adrienne called a cab company, but the cabbie couldn’t find her at a Tempe convenience store. (4) “Salinas asked for a driver to meet her at the AMPM gas station at the intersection of Hardy & University. Investigators told CBS 5 she never made it there” (5)
5:07am – Her phone was turned off. (1)

Sunday, June 16th

Her family called police because they were worried since she didn’t call to wish her father a Happy Father’s Day… something seemed wrong.

Thank you mamacita! Trying to get caught up here!

Ok, so here is a map of where she was last seen, to where she said she was going?

(Do I have this right?)

(o/t, but if you put your curser on the AMPM icon here by point B http://goo.gl/maps/BL6pe, there is a comical statement about the gas station)

  • #124
I am not sure if I have this right...so she had the accident at Ash and Rio Salado, was then seen near Brown and Roosevelt, and said she was headed to Hardy and University?

Hardy is a straight shot from the location of the body:

The more I look at the maps, the more convinced and afraid I am that she could have encountered this monster! The murder was extremely brutal, as described by the MSM articles, so the perp could still have been in a rage when he saw her walking!!!

Indeed. I think it might be related as well. With all of the angles and potential madness associated with this case, I'm surprised that more sleuthers aren't as intrigued by it as we are.

Why would she call a cab and then immediately turn off her cell phone? When you call a cab or a tow truck in the middle of the night, in my experience, they will often contact you by phone when they arrive or if they have a question. I don't think she'd turn it off unless the battery was about to die.

I didn't see Adrienne's desciption posted in this thread.

Adrienne is Hispanic, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a sun on her left neck/ear area. She was last seen wearing a black sheer blouse with white polka dots, a black bra and dark colored jeans.

If you have any information on Adrienne's whereabouts, you are asked to call the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.

I can't seem to find a description of her car. If anyone has seen it published, please post it here with the link. Someone might remember seeing it on the night of the disappearance.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but does anyone know if cell phone companies can tell if a phone battery is dead, or if someone has just turned their phone off?

  • #134
I wonder how she had the phone number of a cab company? Did she call 411 or have it in her contacts? Maybe there are advertisements in the area?

  • #135
She also might have had a smart phone with a web browser.

Yeah, I hope LE are considering the possibility. I also hope they got DNA off of the initial victim. If she was naked, it's likely a sex-related crime. Since it was a) described as brutal, and b) LE would not list many details, then it could very well be a ritualistic type killing.

Also, I should add that since it is in AZ that the dead girl could be from Mexico. Not likely since she appears to have all of the comforts of an American teen (braces, etc.) but entirely possible. Also, the fact that she has braces leads me to believe that she has a stable family that cares about her regardless of where she is from. Someone somewhere has reported her missing at some point, and she hasn't been missing long with orthodontics (at most a year or so?).

That's pretty much what I was hoping against in this case Tonto. That the deceased girl that was found was from some distance, perhaps another state, away and that the perp who dumped her in Tempe then proceeded to pick up his next victim, a vulnerable young woman out alone in the very early morning hours, and has now moved her a distance away as well. I think they should be looking at missing persons from multiple adjoining states to find the identity of the deceased girl. Perhaps the perp is from her area and has returned to that area with Adrienne?

MOO

I wonder if the deleted comment about "snitches get stitches" was intended for the murdered and naked girl.

I think that could be quite likely. I'm thinking she might have been abducted to serve as a sex slave or something like that. She dead girl found just streets away might have done something "wrong", got punished and dumped, and then the person went on to find a replacement for her - Adrienne. jmo

I've been following the case closely, and am just now chiming in. As with most missing persons cases, we are clearly missing one, if not more, piece of information. Things in this case, really, really don't make sense. We are missing one vital piece of information. Things that I have been thinking about include, if she was intent on seeing her bf, and the location of her last being seen is accurate, why wouldn't she just walk down the same street in a straight line to get to her bf's apartment? Why call a cab and have them meet you at a location that is a farther walk for her? I realize the spot to meet the cab was a gas station (public place, landmark etc) but it still doesn't make sense. And between the time she called for the cab and last texted her bf, was there any other activity on her phone? What was she doing, walking to the spot to meet the cab? And it has been brought up before but bears repeating, her phone shuts off two minutes after texting her bf. That seems to me, either she turned it off after texting her bf, figuring she didn't need it anymore, or it was turned off/taken by someone. Something itching at me that she may have not been alone in the car in the first place. Or another car was in the area with her.

Good questions. I wondered that myself.

Small correction: she texted her bf at 4:47am, called the cab at 5:05am. Phone was shut off at 5:07am.
