Good question. I wondered about that myself. Is he trying to say that he waited around for her for 20 minutes twiddling his thumbs?? He didn't try to call and he just waited there??? I don't see that happening. In a town full of college students who are pranksters, I can't see him sitting there without thinking he had been punk'd. Why would he wait so long before contacting her??

Unless........he didn't get there in 20 minutes and arrived at 4:23 am. Do we have any verification as to the TIME the cabbie ARRIVED at the am/pm? Something's not right about this.

Isn't that the truth?!?! It seems the trolls just live to comment under those articles!

Twitter is so much the same way that I have almost quit using my twitter account.

People can be so mean.

"Anonymity" brings out the worst in people!!!

:(

the surveillance shows him goin' thru the lot/ampm, no salinas in that lot at anytime, and if she was on camera, you would HOPE the news/police would of reported it. it would of pinpointed her location, but they haven't said that.

she has a window from 423 or so, to 507 when phone when zzzzzz, and that we have this cabbie going to ampm as he was told to do by her, shes not there...

we haven't seen the surveillance cam, we have no idea really how long he waited. AND IF her phone was done after 507, he couldnt call her.

also, in regards to many missing people in area, i would love to see the evidence of this. i havent seen this epic amount of missing persons' posters, nor heard a peep in news. ys, the valley IS the kidnap capital of the usa (so im not discrediting it,) and perhaps people aren't aware that tempe is not just a close to 200,000 city but in middle of the phx metro area, mesa is 400,000, phx is huge like 2 mil, and scotts is close to 300,000 i think. we are not just a sleepy college town, and in a city this big, its not like lost boys movie and we are some small villa that has 99% of all people going missing due to vampires. i wanna see whatever the BG postee was refering to at circle k. period.

we have big city crimes. just a month or so ago, a guy (ALLEGEDLY) smashed his gfs face in with work out weights, and he is sitting awaiting trial for that, its a murder. in tempe. things happen, its a violent world. but, without any reason or evidence, lets not just say OH THEIR IS SERIAL KILLER. i wanna see whatever that person posted about, i live right in this community, and we talk, we are very aware and concerned if something of that magnitude was happening. im not talking a college community, im talking people who have lived here 10-20 years. so, if someone sees anything about missing people/girls in excess of salinas and similiar in regards to disspearing in this area, NOT glendale, NOT gila bend, NOT TUCSON, not las vegas, plz plz post it. its already confusing enough.

It's a real pet peeve of mine when people try to make the pieces of different cases tie together and make every abduction serial killer related. I've spent a lot of time studying them. They are rare. There are a LOT more "average-Joe" pervs and sickos out there, than there are serial killers!

I'm sorry. My post wasn't directed just at you and I'm not upset with you either and I don't think you attacked me.

I am just very frustrated over working so hard trying to put together something to go by.

You are very nice. I'm sorry. Please forgive my sensitivity.

I just want so much to help. And I feel like everything I write is dismissed.

Maybe I'm trying to hard.

hugs. We are here for a common cause - to help being Adrienne home, and I am honored to be among people who care so much, too.

I know what you mean about feeling like your ideas are dismissed... I have often felt like people have not read posts (not necessarily this thread, just generally) and then they say the same thing or ask questions that someone already addressed. Or no one comments on what I think was a great idea or suggestion.

So often, posters here are eager to say what they think or feel or have learned, or about similar experiences, or whatever - and maybe we don't always read every single word... or we are so bent on getting our thoguhts out that we disregard others. It happens, but not with malicious intent. Just with sleuthy energy!

anyway, I am a sensitive type myself, and from my experience being on WS, I have learned that this is never about me. I have also learned to bring my thicker skin, and to work together and to step back sometimes.

And that things are often not as they seem to the public...

All that said, I was just searching around for anything new, any tidbit in MSM, but nothing. No follow up at all - and nothing on my local news last night or this morning.

I recall hearing that Adrienne's cell was found, but agree that may have been sloppy reporting, and can not find any link that substantiates the whereabouts of her phone.

GGE's early post had some new ideas in it... including that someone from the party may have "borrowed" Adrienne's car that night... Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Some other interesting ideas... that her car may not have been "dumped" until sometime later than what we think we know?..

Anyone have any thoughts about the assertion that Adrienne may have been repeatedly calling her BF because he had lost his phone and they were trying to locate it?

Does anyone think this is anything other than what it looks like?

Thank you SOOOOO much for this post, AzPistonsGirl !!!! <3 <3 <3

You bring up some very valid points and I do have thicker skin, I just don't know what's wrong with me today.

I am probably just as guilty as everyone of overlooking valuable posts of others lending their theories and looking for answers. I'm sure I'm not the only one who at times feels they are being dismissed.

I'm going to try harder. But sometimes I think I post too much and I am looking at all the posts since the last time I was here and I want to get back to a post and then I get engrossed in something else and never do.

Yes, I have wondered about how long it took to get her car from the accident site to where it was abandoned myself. I think GGE has posed some excellent questions too.

And it's quite possible someone from the party did borrow her car. Roomies do this all the time. But I think I read even this morning that LE thinks it was Adrienne who was driving it.

As for if she might have been calling her boyfriend's cell to see where it was, in the event he had misplaced it that is very interesting. Because...this would indicate he was still with her. At least that's what I would think it meant.

Not sure if I think this is a possibility but it could be.

At this point I suppose anything is possible but I did read that the boyfriend had turned his phone over to LE and so he probably didn't lose it and she probably didn't call his cell for that reason. IMHO LOL!

Thanks again! and HUGS backatcha!!!

I'm really concerned about this big fourth of July celebration at Tempe Town Lake tomorrow. Praying that it all goes off fine and there are no unexpected discoveries.

GGE....I hadn't even thought about that! Isn't that the truth!!!!

Do you really think she is in that lake? I don't know why but somehow I don't think she is in there.

I think she is far away. JMO ;)

Going to bump up the one article with direct quotes from Tempe PD Sgt. Pooley to help everyone get up to speed:

"Tonight Arizona police are considering conducting a sonar search of the bottom of a community lake for the body of a Tempe college student whose car was found with two punctured tires, according to police.

"Unfortunately, we have been down this road too many times before, where we have found bodies of young people in the lake. Nothing indicates that she is down there, but we are trying to eliminate everything we can," Sgt. Mike Pooley of the Tempe Police Department told ABCNews.com.

Divers Monday night searched for clues in the man-made reservoir but found nothing. They are hoping that a search using sonar equipment will prove more fruitful.

Are all of these people simply walking into the lake???? Why can't they get out?
Call me confused!

Weird thing is that though I'm concerned about the celebration tomorrow.... my gut says Adrienne isn't in there. Gut says she isn't in water. I actually keep wondering if there have been any fires out in the middle of nowhere lately. I don't know. WS is for logic, and my gut isn't logical and for now my logic sticks steadfastly at the scenario I presented at the beginning of this thread, so I just don't know.

the community here, we wanna help. but, there is a distinct reality that the cops used their muscle to go into peoples' homes, simply to mark that house off a map.

they search the lake next day 2wks ago with enormous money/manpower spent to that endeavor, YET CANT get a k9 unit to her car when it was on roosevelt/brown/ or her apt? how hard would that of been?

...vs sonar/canoe/submarine divers etc hitting the lake up.

i think, ball was dropped and in a show of force they are trying to make a larger community feel better because NOW they are doing so much; w a task force going gestapo style and as i've heard, demanding to enter homes in a manner thats not exactly officer friendly.

it makes me not wanna help either; or most people in this town. we dont feel like we can help because the info is half arse, the media is contradicting themselves, and much like any tragedy, the cops like to show up and make a circus of it way after the timeframe when that circus would of helped. like when a school shooting gets the inevitable 1000 swat team members on scene a day later with full body armour after the perp is dead.

im a jerk when it comes to this, but thats my gut feelings. the cops wanna set up a big headquarters, and canvas the neighborhood and go into peoples homes.

BUT they couldnt even muster a k9 unit, OF WHICH THEY HAVE HIGHLY FUNDED AMAZING squads of. tempe police, looks like the nicest squad you've ever seen. amazing suv k9 units, bike cops, well regarded, so im pissed they were not utilized immediately when they could of done good. they went to lake, but they couldnt cordon off the car and start a search from therr... or her apt... or even ampm. its the lake they went to next day?

2 wks later, to harass the community doesnt get the community behind you.

it was those elements that CAME AND PARTIED here, that you need to harass. that arent even living over here, why not go make them feel like warsaw poland ww2 like you did w the sherriff posse? but, that the community is attacked but nothing, NADA about putting that muscle on the party people.

I hope LE have searched the tempe town lake north bank path... Im sure they have. Pooley said that this past Saturday cadaver dogs and SAR sonar/divers were searching Tempe town lake, bushes and all. I guess nothing was found still. This might be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully no one finding her tomorrow (please don't let anyone find her tomorrow) will help LE and us narrow down the likelihood of AS being in Tempe TL.!!!

I thought the very same thing when I read that! Why are there all these people being found in the lake? And who are they?

I just googled and found this which I found to be VERY interesting because this young man with the last name of Begay was found in the lake only 15 days before the young woman's body (also named Begay) was dumped in Tempe not too far away. I wonder if there could be any connection.

Why would they need K9's at her vehicle? They know she was seen walking at 5am. She didn't go missing from her car. Scent dogs would have been helpful from her apartment all along her route to the AM/PM, pinpointing exactly where her scent ends.

From your link -

"Begay's the third current or former ASU student to be found dead in the lake in as many years, including freshman Jack Culolias, who was found in November -- and was actually found in the nearby river bed -- and former student Willie Jigba, who was found dead in the lake in early 2011.

Two other people, without immediate ties to ASU, have also been found dead in the lake in the last year."

What, is there like a huge sign that says "dump bodies here" ?? :scared:

Were they dumped or did they drown?
Who here knows the autopsy results on these people?
