If you are only speculating why would you get 'the ban'? I, for one, would like to know what your theory is.

It's not considered speculating. It's sleuthing. Sleuthing non POI is not allowed.

I keep meaning to point out that students getting financial aid like TAP (a NY state Tuition Assistancee Program that I'm sure there are equivalents of across the country) can't be found guilty of drug offenses or DWIs or they lose their funding.

Powerful motivation to not want to report her little accident if she had been drinking a bit.

Doesn't help find her but been meaning to mention that for ages now. Many a "better" decision was made by friends of mine back in the day due to the possibility that a bad choice might lead to being caught and then losing financial aid. And you can't hide THAT from your parent.... cuz the school definitely lets them know if there's a balance due. So that also motivates people not to get caught for this kind of thing, if one is in school.

edit - I was wrong about DWI. It's mostly for drug charges, sorry! http://studentaid.ed.gov/eligibility/criminal-convictions

I just spoke on the phone with Sargent Pooley of the Tempe Police Department. He is in charge of Adrienne's case and he was very very receptive to my call and provided me with some additional information that has not been reported in the news sources.

He is one of the nicest people I have ever spoken with and I can assure you after speaking with him that they are not planning on letting this case go cold anytime in the near future. They are doing everything they can and following every possible lead in an attempt to find Adrienne. I am so thankful to know we have such capable and caring LE in our area!

Sargent Pooley shared the timeline and information that he 'could' with me. He gave me permission to quote him:

He said that Adrienne and her boyfriend were at the apartment party on Friday night and that there were approximately 40 to 50 people there. He said that Adrienne and her boyfriend began to argue because she "didn't feel he was showing her enough attention". According to the boyfriend, Sargent Pooley told me that the boyfriend suggested they leave the party and go to his place in Scottsdale to continue the discussion. At his place they continued to argue and she left stating she was going to walk home.

He didn't want her to walk to he followed her and asked her to get into his car so he could take her home. She did but when they reached 5th and Mill (or that vicinity) she got out of his car. The boyfriend was very concerned about Adrienne and called her roommate to pick her up or "meet her halfway". The roommate did this. According to Sargent Pooley, this was somewhere around 2:30am.

After Adrienne got back to the party, which Sargent Pooley said broke up around 3:00am, she wanted to go back to her boyfriend's house and packed a large bag. She told her roommates she was leaving and they heard her go out the door, which makes a noise and get into her car, which was parked right by the door. They are certain she left right away after going out the door.

This was, according to all counts, around 3:30am.

911 call at 3:44am. Sargent Pooley added to the 911 call, saying that the caller reported that a car had been tailgating her and driving erratically before hitting the median and that she wanted to help the person in the car but they sped off before she could lend assistance.

Sargent Pooley also told me they have searched the car and from all indications, including the seat position, etc. that they feel certain Adrienne was driving the car alone.

He did verify that she went back to her apartment and that no one saw her. She did change clothes and she left behind her large bag and her wallet with all of her identification.

He told me that the last time anyone saw Adrienne was at approximately 3:30am when she told her roommates she was leaving to go back to her boyfriend's house, before the accident.

Sargent Pooley confirmed to me that her cell phone has NOT been found.

We also spoke about the possible connection to the Annovedwin Begay body that was found the same day. He did say they had considered a connection but did not feel that Gerrick Begay, whose body was found in Town Lake only two weeks before, was related to Annovedwin. He didn't tell me conclusively that they felt there was any connection to the two cases but I definitely got the feeling he did not think so or they had ruled it out.

He did tell me that they have checked out the possibility of her going to Mexico and wondered what led me to believe that she might have gone down there, as well.

He asked me to keep up posting on social media and keeping the interest up to keep the case alive. He confirmed that the FBI is assisting them in their investigation.

He said they are considering every possibility that they can and found it very strange that she left behind her little dog that she loved very much without asking anyone to take care of it.

I have to tell you....I could tell from his voice how deeply saddened he is by this case and just how much he wants to find Adrienne.

He told me he would update the website as soon as possible and is grateful for everyone's help.

If I can think of anything else Sargent Pooley told me I will update this post.

Update: (I just remembered a couple of things Sargent Pooley told me.)

I asked him if there were any suspects and he said "No, we don't have suspects, but suspects and persons of interest are two different things." He then went on to tell me that there were some things he could not share with me, which of course I understood, and as I recall, this was after I had inquired if they had been able to interview all the party guests. He did say that they had spoken with most of them.

The other thing he told me is that one of the reasons they searched the lake so soon was they feared she might have fallen into the lake on the way to her boyfriend's place.

I asked him about suicide and he told me it was one of the things they had considered.

He also confirmed the last call being to the cab driver at 5:06am.

Another thing....when he told me that she did go back to the apartment and change her clothes following the accident, I asked him "Did anyone see her?" And he said "No, this is where things get fuzzy." He either used the word 'fuzzy' or 'confusing'. But he repeated that no one said they saw her when she went back to change clothes.

That's all I can recall. Hope this information can help WS's to put this together better and maybe come up with something new!

Thanks for making that call...paints a bit clearer picture and makes me more convinced that no one from the apartment was "after" her. Sounds like she was making a series of reckless decisions, which can lead one to becoming a victim of a predator. By that I mean, her determination to get over to BF's again may have overruled her sense of caution.

I'm so happy he was willing to share so much information with me. He did lead me to believe that because she left her belongings there at the apartment, purse, wallet, etc., they were concerned about her state of being. He indicated this is why they searched the lake so soon. (These not being his exact words, which I cannot now recall.)

So, she was not last seen at 5 am, as reported by the media. Her last known contact was with the cabbie at 5:06 saying she would be there in a minute. Never seen or heard from again.

and why pooley hasn't done a good interview like this for news, and you got such a fantastic interview, perhaps u should work for my fox news phx or azcentral.

it fills in a bit of the holes of the story, and validates a lot of the speculations' we all have

I can't even imagine these facts not being out there. Sargent Pooley was VERY transparent with me when I spoke with him. I didn't have to pry anything out of him and he actually seemed surprised that we didn't have this information.

I don't think he spends a lot of time worrying about what Fox, CBS and AZCentral are reporting. He did tell me he speaks with them daily and so I would imagine he's too busy to read what they write.

I thought he was as cooperative as anyone I have ever spoken to. His genuine concern and compassion nearly brought tears to my eyes. :)

For 2Hip2bSquare - I asked Sgt Pooley if the Circle K that Annovedwin and George had been to when he was abusing her was the one across from the AM/PM store and he said no it was a different one. I just thought you would want this information since you feel there might be a connection.

you can see in his past interviews his concern, and you know he wants to find out whats goin' on! the info you gathered from him, is so much more clear and paints a distinct picture as to what happened that night, imo, than ANY news article i've read. truly.

its interesting to note that the points in the story where it gets 'fuzzy' are of course where we all struggle to fill in blanks, like IF she even was regarded as stopping back home after the accident and if anyone even saw her at that time.

the argument w her bf, and that she left him at mill ave area and got picked up by roomie, is very interesting. she definitely was having emotional overload that night

For sure he is a great guy!

Yeah..you mix emotional overload with a 19 year old and alcohol and you get a crisis situation on your hands. I actually have more hope following my conversation with him but I still know it isn't looking good. :(

Thanks for the nice compliment, however. :)

ya know, the concept that she headed north to the lake, AND NOT to the ampm, IF she was emotionally distraught is a sad but possible scenario.

that suicide or negative thoughts might of permeated the evening for her, and it only makes sense that they went to the lake. hardy heads up to a weird part of the lake.. she would of had to criss/kross down some paths to get near the arts center and newer pedestrian bridge, which is canvased with TONS of cameras and im sure they checked all those.

what was going on w salinas that last hr or so after the accident, HOPEFULLY someday will be known to the light of day that remains for the time being in the cloak of that dawn...

ive attached a pic of aerial view of tempe art center and the far end of the lake that meets the rubber dams. ALSO, the 2nd pic is the newer pedestrian bridge that is over the dams, now. 3rd pic is map of general area (again,) minus the ampm location

Did you get answers about whether she told the cab to meet her at AM/PM or the Circle K? That is something that should have been made CLEAR from the get-go.

The information gathered in your convo with him does not change my theory about what happened, it solidifies it, so I'm going to park it right there until I am PROVEN wrong. ;)

Goblin~Those pics of Tempe are so gorgeous. Ever been to Sedona? I'll never forget how it took my breath away.
