13 men and only 3 women. Interesting. I wonder if LVD intentionally tried to get more men on the jury, thinking they'll buy her "poor, defenseless victim in need of protection" act more easily than women would.

Does anyone remember what the male/female ratio for jurors was for her Idaho trial?
That's what I'm thinking. She thinks she can snow the jurors with her lawyering skills since she doesn't intend to testify and have to be cross-examined. There should be more women on the jury.

I was looking at the State’s witness list and contemplating how they will go about presenting their case. I hadn’t really looked at it before. I’m attaching images from docs from Justin Lum’s FB page showing the list. I’m a little surprised that MG wasn’t on the list as I would think they would want her to tell the jury how she was supposed to stay at the house the night before CV was killed but LVD told her she had to leave because she was going to have AC come and stay the night instead because CV was coming to the house the next day. It seem to me that’s a pretty important step in showing the plan - the conspiracy. Is there another way for them to get that info before the jury? I think Adam Cox can testify that he had planned to stay at AC’s that night but he wasn’t home but knowing she told MG she had to leave to make room for AC seems even more convincing to me and I’m puzzled why they wouldn’t want to include it. Would love to “hear” you thoughts on this.

The fact that she’s already serving life sentences makes me even more curious about what she’s hoping to accomplish here. Does she think this strategy might help her with the charges in this trial or with her other convictions?

She is hoping to accomplish what she has always wanted - to be in the limelight. Plus for everyone to see how beautiful she is.

3/31/25 Monday, Jury Selection Day 1 – additional info: As of Friday prosecutors received no report from Lonnie Dworkin regarding the phone extraction. The State says Daybell refused to ask for a continuance to get her expert more time & prosecutors should not have to do more work having to interview Dworkin on this short time frame. The State says the only sanction should be to preclude Dworkin. The Judge has tabled his decision on whether or not to preclude Daniel Coons, a firearms expert who worked for Chandler PD. Daybell wants him off as an expert. Motion to dismiss based on prosecutorial misconduct-denied. Judge denied Daybell's motion to exclude 3 State witnesses including Kay Woodcock. Thought I would post this also - since I didn't know "what" Rule 609 is....

What is the rule of evidence 609 in Arizona?

Impeachment by Evidence of a Criminal Conviction. (2) for any crime regardless of the punishment, the evidence must be admitted if the court can readily determine that establishing the elements of the crime required proving--or the witness's admitting--a dishonest act or false statement.

I keep wondering if she knows our view of her is her gray hair??? I know she did not want the camera focused on her face, but would think she'd prefer her face on view as opposed to that gray hair!

Me either. Seems like LVD just copied what the prosecutor did w/regard to jurors. If they wanted the juror out, she agreed. If they wanted to keep the juror, she agreed. It was obvious she didn't know what she was doing.
She is just happy that the majority of jurors are male and could be susceptible to her flirting.

Anyone who watched Nate Eaton's 'Courtroom Insider' last night, did you find it interesting that he described her as timid and a little insecure when she was questioning jurors? (Starts at about 9:50.) I'm wondering if she's starting to get a taste of what it's going to be like to represent herself. This is the person in Idaho who came into the courtroom smiling, giggled and flirted with her attorney when she was up for murdering her children. She seemed pretty confident then IMO.
