Some people should not be jurors, he is a good example of that. In addition to the advance juror instructions it’s basic common sense.

If there was a penalty for this I think we would see less of these rogue jurors.
Karl was the juror texting during the trial and also one of the 2 jurors talking about Social Security when evidence was being presented from the SS witness about LVD contacting SS then not contacting them after TR & JJ were deceased.
The judge had to reprimand 2x.
IMO

LOL…Karl sounds like a mess. I’m wishing he was bounced before deliberation.

So he has even less common sense.

I mentioned the penalty upthread and the response was that it would violate freedom of speech?
I don't know the legal history of jurors being able to speak publicly after a trial and it could be that Freedom of Speech was once litigated?
I do know that there are certain restrictions that judges sometimes put in place, like for top secret info that was in a trial.
In some countries jurors are prohibited from discussing the case or their deliberations publicly after the trial but I don;t know what if any the consequences are for doing so.
imo

It’s hard to believe that anyone would do this but they do and he did. It defies logic.

I still can't believe he sat for this interview.
Did he not see/read all the backlash from his "3 life" comments and did no one he knows tell him not to talk anymore?
And we now know that his first interview/comment has been brought to the judges/defense's attention.
imo

IMO:
The judge should have booted him from the jury for the second offense and replaced him with an alternate.

Also being permitted to have you cell with you during the trial and who knows deliberations too is insane.
On top of that the jurors were permitted to mingle with people/reporters during lunch and breaks.
Totally insane.

Was anything ever revealed about the name "Ned Schnider (sp?) ?
Was there a person someone had known by that name, obviously deceased?
Ned's the first zombie I'm aware of that got a last name. lol
Chad googled the name some time in January 2019 and settled on a guy from Louisiana who was no longer living. Perhaps he researched other zombie names in a similar way so he could give their back stories to his gullible followers.

The Chad gmail account searched "Ned Schneider Louisiana obituary 1997" on Jan. 31, 2019.

Thanks for the Ned info.
Astrologers should put a big warning sign on the compatibility of a Cancer sun woman and a Leo sun man including both their photos. /S (scream)

IMO:
Lauren was very kind and gentle with Karl throughtout.
When asked why he wanted to talk I found his answer quite strange and concerning.

Him claiming he now doesn’t remember where, when, or how he learned of the previous convictions/sentences seems incredulous to me but JMO. His comments about some family telling him he’s “famous” was also intriguing. For someone who’s said he doesn’t want any spotlight, he’s definitely finding ways to be in it. (Which, JMOO, but that makes sense when you consider he answered Lauren on having no one to discuss the case with personally, after the verdict).

IMO:
It's not that he didn't want to talk to friends after the verdict and wanted someone like Lauren who's familiar with all things LVD..he said friends went the way of the "dinosaur".
Curious if his friends went the dinosaur way long before the trial because after it puzzles me considering the interest, especially in Arizona about the trial and outcome.
If it was me on her jury after the verdict when I arrived home I'd be greeted by lots of take-out and bottles of wine as my phone kept pinging.

Yesterday I listened to not even half the video and shut it off when he avoided answering the "3 life" sentences.
Reading elsewhere is where I came across his closing comments about not having anyone to talk with about the trial/verdict, found it then posted it here.

Still watching, but at 20:45 Lauren asks Karl about his statement made outside the courthouse immediately after the verdict when he stated something like "while driving home yesterday, I was thinking that she already had 3 life sentences," and he kind of sidestepped in his answer and then changed the subject. When Lauren attempted further clarification, he said he didn't know how he learned that and he didn't clarify the timing - did he learn it after the verdict or did he learn it sometime before the deliberations began or before they were finished. Curious to know what others think after watching this.

It seems clear to me from the interview that Karl learned a lot more about Lori's past and the crimes in Idaho AFTER the verdict was read in the courtroom, but it is still unclear whether he knew while participating in deliberations that Lori had 3 past convictions with life sentences and if so, how he learned that.

Sounds like Karl had a hard time "tracking" with the evidence and what all of it meant relative to the charges until the prosecutor's closing statement pulled it all together and brought particular pieces of evidence to his attention such that he wanted to go over that evidence again during deliberations. Even the evidence demonstrating the fact that Lori and Chad were having an affair seems to have escaped his notice during the trial as he wasn't sure if he learned that during the trial or afterwards.

ETA: Karl also related about how the trial and what he has learned since has impacted him, saying it has kept him awake and caused him to wake from sleeping.
She had more than three life sentences in Idaho (6 in total), but there were only three victims.

I agree, sadly.
And to see him now claim he didn’t remember where or when or how he learned of the 3 life sentences…. Oof. A different tune than some of his other interviews.

This may go nowhere, but that doesn’t mean Lori doesn’t now have a small door she can try to pry and prop open because some jurors have done one too many interviews. JMOO tho
If she appeals on these grounds, it means possibly staying in Arizona for a new trial and I thought she didn’t want that?

I'm stunned that a juror could think that, if LVD never actually said the word 'comspiracy', she couldn't be guilty of it. Deliberation calls for critical thinking, the capacity to connect dots, inference.

Why was AlexC even at LVD's house?

LVD, the instigator of the conflict, playing Keep Away with CV's phone.

Staged bat, 47 minute delay, phone calls between AlexC and LVD.

Dark, light, Zombies, Ned -- what was all that if not code?

That LVD was chatty and flirty and nonchalant and not surprised that CV was dead, how does that go unnoticed?

That LVD couldn't get CV cremated fast enough and shipped by FedEx fast enough means nothing? While speed-dailing his life insurance agent?

Only to remarry two seconds later?

Not only do the dots connect up, they spell out LORI IS GUILTY.

JMO

I gather she'd be appealing w/o this information, though it could be entered in the appeal?

It's three consecutive life sentences plus two concurrent life sentences, so 3 consecutive. The other sentence was 10 years concurrent for grand theft.

I don’t know how it works in Arizona. If she appeals does that not mean she has to stay in Arizona or can she go back to Idaho?

yes, you are right. So five life sentences in total. Would a juror understand the consecutive and concurrent though?

I’m pretty sure it was determined before she was sent to Arizona for CV trial and the next trial that she definitely spends the rest of her born days in an Idaho prison. No matter what .
