They had just filed an appeal to stop the execution because he wasn't dying and it was inhumane... I had read it just before they pronounced him dead. So glad he died.

I am not sure this is going to be a slam dunk for the State. The circumstantial evidence sure points to Hulsey. I just wish they had not discarded the bullet fragments so there would be no question. Patsy certainly helped the State. I hope Hulsey will be convicted of Attempted Murder at the very least. I just don't know if Officer Holly will get the justice he deserves.

You have a convicted felon, a "prohibited possessor" with a .357, and drugs, a false ID given, 4 empty cartridge casings in the revolver, 2 eyewitnesses, and it doesn't take a leap of faith to believe Hulsey shot first and continued to shoot as Goita ran for cover. If the first shot HADN'T hit Holly, Hulsey wouldn't have continued firing at Goita, but Hulsey KNEW Holly was NOT a threat.

Didn't they file paperwork earlier today saying the cocktail was an experiment? Holy freaking moly. I saw the part of the stay because he was still alive more than an hour and a half later, no one deserves that kind of death.

He is the first AZ prisoner using the new drug cocktail. He had 2 stays granted before his execution.

Since they can no longer get the drugs from Europe for execution, the powers that be gotta come up with a better plan. This sounds rather barbaric with all these botched executions. Hanging or firing squad would be kinder.

Link to the Joseph Wood case..........Can't say I have any sympathy for him. No one knows if the "noises/behavior" after the sedation were a sign of consciousness or just the body shutting down, except after an autopsy is done.

I won't make this political or too OT I swear...but right now the mixes and the pharmacies who make them are kept secret. I do agree there has to be better ways to do this. In fact...there are. Buuuut.....
