I would like to know more about the surprise birthday party for LB on February 12, 2011.

It seems to be a pivotal event.

It appears that SL planned the party at Medieval Times for his girlfriend, LB. He invited people he thought were her friends: KS, CN and DM (and I wonder who else).

This was the first time SL met DM. This is the night that DM changed his story "10x" and offered drugs to LB "for her birthday".

Did SL know that LB and DM had "dated" (or at least "slept together") on multiple occasions? It's not absolutely clear from the testimony that they were sleeping together while LB was dating SL, but it appears it was happening before and after, for sure. It seems like it might have been awkward.

It is also after this party that DM and CN start their "romantic relationship".

Was LB jealous of the relationship CN had with DM? In reference to LB, KS said DM had "had no interest in pursuing a relationship with her." But he was willing to publicly call CN his girlfriend. That might have hurt.

Thanks SnooperDuper, you guys on this forum know how to research. I wish people on other forums would do more research some I don't think even follow the trial and then post very stupid things. Clearly by the testimony so far it shows that DM and all the rest of them were switching partners constantly and DM had multiple people he was sleeping with at the same time. Then someone on another forum is aghast at the one john who testified and how sleazy he was, NEWFLASH, you don't get anymore sleazy from DM.

I don't think SugarDaddies have the same desperate, single-minded focus as Johns do. Sugar daddies are the goal of many girls in University struggling to pay bills. With their primary employment after graduating being barista, I can't blame them.

I'd simply like to know what DM was doing there at all. Who was his connection? Who was his date? :waitasec:

It is all a joke anyway, MS and DM should have admitted guilt and get it over with. Instead of wasting taxpayer money and continue the circus. It is painful to even listen to all this crap all their stupidity etc, and bad rap songs and finding out more about these morons , if it means another M! conviction I guess that is a good thing.

i said the same thing for TB trial and was jumped on by the groupies who claimed MS was innocent and was in wrong place at wrong time. These 2 are guilty, period. Way more than enough evidence to prove M1.

Well LB definitely knew DM before this party.

This is purely speculation on my part, but as it was supposed to be a surprise party, I doubt LB was asked who she wanted to attend it.

Perhaps SL invited her most common contacts on facebook or on her phone?

Maybe he asked KS (who had been LB's friend since they worked together at the toy store in 2007) who to invite?

I agree with everything you said Winter, but I would also like to add that it is possible a desperate Laura who was not thinking clearly became pregnant by DM. If he or CN knew that, they might have feared that she would approach DM's parents for financial and emotional support. They had no grandchildren, and I think it is possible that MB especially might have liked the idea of a cute little grandchild, even if it were not planned. This would cause all kinds of problems for DM and CN, including child support, and the possibility of another heir to the Millard fortune. I don't think either would want a child that was not CN's in their lives, and it would not surprise me that DM never planned to have children, no matter what he said to CN, in order to manipulate her, so she would not testify against him. Poor Laura got caught in a cesspool of evil, and was too young to realize how very dangerous DM and all his so called friends were. Rest in Peace, Laura, you, and possibly your child, are in a much better place now. IMO

IT might have been more from that , not just the lifestyle but she knew some sinister things about DM. I don't think she would have not known he was involved in illegal things. She hung around the group of them all involved in the robberies , being lookouts etc. I doubt she did not know some very damning things about DM. She could have been a threat to him. Who knows he may have even discussed killing his father with this group present and she was there. DM was so sleazy so for her to go to the next level and become an escort is not surprising she was involved with a very sleazy person. already ,

DM had a habit of promising everyone their dreams and with respect to MB, I think her dream was that DM marry his fiancee who was the daughter of her BFF. Given that, I am not sure how much she would have liked to hear about DM's relationship with LB.

How nice for LB to have such a good friend as KS. <obvious sarcasm>
They were a bunch of mean girls. That video with her and CN recording and laughing at people? CN should have to take the stand IMO.
Poor LB, SL is her angel.

It's also super disturbing to me that MS got himself involved in these 'missions' that solely benefitted DM. Nothing in it for him, perhaps other than to keep his friendship intact with his wealthy friend, be his right-hand man, perhaps. Wondering if MS will take the stand this time in his own defence, to tell his side..
IMO all the other key players were just as enamoured by DM. It's disgusting the following he had. The difference is MS went along with everything. Whereas the others only went so far. I think a few more in that group could have been convinced to go on the test drive, build incinerators and so on. They were a group of followers... Moo

MS is a convicted murderer. He clearly had no qualms with participating in this murder then TB was no big deal either.

The others, however evil and twisted, didn't go as far as MS.

Well it is a stretch to think it was due to her being pregnant, but anything is possible. The killings were senseless so any type of motive you could come up with would be as possible as the next. I don't care about the motive. I just want the evidence to come out so it can move on as quickly as possible and get DM and MS back to prison and out of sight out of mind. However the verdict turns out they are there for a long time, and if it is another M1 which i hope it will be then bye , bye MS and DM.

Georgeo you are right any of them might have been persuaded to help him commit murder. He was sort of grooming them with the robberies and being a lookout etc, so with enough persuasion, it is possible another one of the others could have crossed over to murder. If he offered enough incentive you never know.

If the they testify then I think the convictions are fair game. Agree?

It would be up to the judge to determine whether the probative value of the jury knowing of the previous convictions would outweigh the possible prejudicial effect on the accuseds. I would be very surprised if it was allowed.

That exactly my thoughts. He made a lot of false promises to people along with many other things.

Well look who is laughing at CN now, the whole world knows about her antics at the first trial. Lots of us will be laughing really hard when Sharlene wins a judgment that will be priceless, hopefully, the judge awards a v ery large judgment against CN looking forward to that if it is made public.

Are there any texts that prove Laura wanted to start her own escort business? I don't trust this Karoline. She could be getting something out of this testimony. Can't wait for the evidence exhibits to come in.

I think she sounded like she had maniac/depressive illness, they might have thought because she cut herself she was BPD. Many people with BPD cut themselves it is a symptom of the illness. She cut herself so if the psychiatrist knew that then could have dx her with BPD. I know people with Bipolar , (maniac/depressive) and she sounds like she had bipolar. That is a very hard mental illness to manage. Doing drugs for anyone bipolar is deadly.

That is what I thought to me she seems like someone with bipolar. I know some who are bipolar and one minute they are calm and nice and next second yelling and accusing you of things, that is a sign of bipolar.
