Bankrupt Casey Anthony interviewed by KPHO CBS in Phoenix #2

They have been doing this for years- wasn't their Ohio home foreclosed on too?

When ones thinks about it, the time after little Caylee's death was most likely the most profitable time in their life! Wonder how soon it will be before they file BK.

JMO

Yes, I think they have their blood money stashed away and are using this as a way of avoiding payments for as long as possible, then having the bank take the house back- it's not likely they could ever sell the house where Caylee was murdered after all! This way they live rent free for a long time, then move on without consequences. That's the Anthony way...

I agree with your thoughts here!
This is not some misfortune that has befallen them .... this is a strategic maneuver on their part to get away with something ... they want to walk away from this house ...

I wonder if Cindy is making plans with Casey to run?
That was her plan before Casey got out of jail.
George will be left in the dark about anything they are cooking up.

They still have attorney Mark Lippman representing them.
He would not have let them get into this kind of financial trouble, without first advising them of all of their options.
He was in control of the Caylee Fund, and I imagine the Dr. Phil money dispersements [including payment for himself].

What is really sickening me is when I read about all parents and grandparents that fight for the truth long after their loved ones have met a horrible demise. I have not seen George or Cindy even care about the truth about Caylee. They said that the defense's story was a lie yet they just they don't bother to find the truth. The the hell is wrong with these people? Sometimes I can't sleep at night knowing I brought two children in this world full of Anthony's.

There has been a rise of sloppy and illegal foreclosures practices nationwide not only with NationStar but with other Lenders as well.

Did the Anthony's stop making monthly mortgage payments a few months ago, ignore Notice of Default Letters and possibly phone calls from the lender in order to get as far as the lender filing Foreclosure documents with the court?
Perhaps.
I am leaning towards the same theory as ThinkTank in Post#1285...it's a strategic move..

Apparently, the Anthonys still have a money tree growing in their yard!

People have seen that, in the last month, the Anthonys have added new lighting in the yard, put on a new garage side door, and replaced the fence. And it looks like they are preparing to paint the house. None of which are inexpensive things to do.

It does not seem like these are things they would do if they were planning on dropping the mortgage payments and walking away from the house.

I've never wished ill will on anyone, but this family, and I feel no remorse for it. I find great happiness in knowing that Caylee is safe and protected for eternity and she will never see them again because they will never be welcomed into Caylee's everlasting peace. I am convinced of this.

They might be doing this before putting house on the market. Time will tell.
As far as a money tree, Cindy probably received her share of the proceeds from her mom's place.

Mr. Plesea is still in a nursing home, and his care is probably quite expensive.
Wonder if all funds from the sale of the home went to his continuing care?

The probate case shows that Mr. Plesea filed a waiver and allowed Cindy to be the administrator of the estate.

I don't know if Mr. Plesea has insurance or funds to pay for his care, but if it is being paid by Medicare, I understand that the residence that one has will be used to offset the cost of that care upon the death of the spouse that has been living in the home.

I think that only happens if you are on Medicaid....

Does the document state the specific amount of the Mortgage owing?

They may be upside down on the mortgage and finding a way to negotiate another re-finance...(Upside Down on a Mortgage is when you owe more on your Mortgage loan than the home is worth)

Their home has a Market Value of about $105,00 and an Assessed Value at about $94,000

2 other homes that sold on their street this year were sold for $53,000 and $98,000

Casey Anthony's former home facing foreclosure
Cindy Anthony owes $129K on the house

ORLANDO, Fla. —The Orlando house where Casey Anthony lived with her parents and 2-year-old daughter is facing foreclosure, according to officials.

A lender filed a foreclosure complaint against Anthony's mother, Cindy Anthony, earlier this month, according to reports.

Nationstar Mortgage says Cindy Anthony owes almost $129,000 on the house. The lender says it hasn't received a payment since 2011.

I haven't posted or read about these people for a long time, just too mad about the whole thing. But no matter what they have or get in this world, they will never have little Caylee in there arms to hold and love. I think they lost big time. They feel it, they know it, they just can't show it.

I just saw that they haven't made a payment on their house since 2011? How on earth have they been allowed to live there? They've had a free place to live for over 2 years? What happened to all the money they got selling out their grand baby? You would have thought they would have put some of that blood money towards the house? And how is it they don't have to work, I assume since I haven't heard otherwise? Other people have lost a family member and they don't become permanently disabled. I mean as sad as it is, Caylee died what? Five years ago? How long are they going to try to make a living off of their poor grand babies corpse?

They will milk Caylee's murder for as long as they can...they and their felon daughter make me physically ill. It's all about the money-always has been with that tribe!

So they stopped making mortgage payments in 2011? So much for the work their attorney Mark Lippman did to re-negotiate the mortgage after Bank of America filed foreclosure documents in Feb 2010 and was resolved by Sept 2010.

I still agree with ThinkTank..it was a Strategic Move.

BTW
The Dec 8 2011 building permit issued for the remodel of the master bath had a work valuation of $15,625.00
Master Bath remodel Dec 2011 to Feb 2012

They could be underwater or upside down on the mortgage.
Looking at 10 comparables in their subdivision 5 out of 10 homes sold for less than $100,000 with 2 of those being on Hopesprings drive.
3 homes sold for $125,000 to $128,000 and 2 homes sold for more than $130,00

The number of homeowners strategically defaulting on their mortgage payment has risen in the past few years

Economists and real-estate analysts are calling this phenomenon a "stealth stimulus" that is putting more cash in some people's pockets for iPods, netbooks, beach vacations, concerts and dinners out ETC...(ME:..maybe even master bath remodel)

So they haven't paid since 2011? Wonder if it was about the time Casey got off (with their help, I might add). Maybe they were afraid that folks would start going after them...whether they could in reality or not. But, where did the Dr. Phil money go?
