There are not many that once you hit certain ages that you can become "forgetful". I am "forgetful" and I am not even close to that age.

Some may refer to it as "dementia". I put it down to being "blonde" and wearing a "straight jacket in MY asylum" (need to TM spelling of Straight Jacket.

Gosh no, Allusonz. My previous life as a writer - part of it was as a medical editor, specializing in geriatric medicine. Dementia has nothing to do with forgeting stuff or age even, in some cases. It is a really specific medical condition.

July 28, 2009 – Missing Person Report
Fontelle said Jeff saw a black Chevrolet Tahoe drive slowly past 522 Carnation a few times over a 10 minute period. She said nobody saw Robert leave his home at 522 Carnation, but they suspect he got into the black Tahoe and left the area.

So did JeM tell Mr. Harrod about the Tahoe driving slowly pass the house over a 10 minute period? I agree Believe. This is hogwash!

We know the BL received funds not only from Bob but as well as from another male gentleman.

So, if we're to create a profile just for this case, could we take the three following points as certainties? I would really like others' opinions as I am a newbie and have already made a fool of myself with the maps.

1: Within 3/4 days LE ruled out a 'walkaway'.
2: Within 3/4 days LE ruled out a stranger abduction.
3: Within 3/4 days LE suggested money as a motive.

All of the combinations, permutations, and chance data is not accurate enough as it does not include any potentials and others periphally around the investigation. This is flawed.

I see your confusion-Fontelle was NOT in CA when Mr Harrod disappeared. How would she possibly know what JeM did and didnt see unless she was told by someone who had witnessed this event or heard about it first hand?

I would have thought if LE adopted a strategy of publicly clearing everyone in a case they did not suspect of a crime, even the dumbest of perps would soon work out when it was time to start covering their tracks. Apart from her age and frailty, there seems ample evidence that Fontelle wasn't even near the state at the time of the disappearance, let alone the house. I just cannot see how she could be involved.

I dont believe for a minute this was the approach adopted in RL by LE.

I am going to go by Det. R own words that NO ONE has been cleared.

Not only was she not in CA during that time, she now takes extended amounts of time away so is not sitting at home waiting for the return of Bob Harrod.

So we agree that she wasnt in CA at the time of the disappearance and that she didnt witness JeM reporting a black SUV slowly driving around herself, so she must have received that information from someone who either saw it themselves or heard about it first hand.

Daughter PB posted the following shortly after her father's disappearance.


"There was a report that my BIL saw the type of car that the POI drives go by my Dad's house very slowly and then pull over on the wrong side of the street."


"Not aware of how many trips BIL made out, but feel that POI was lurking in the neighborhood or at least someone using her car. Maybe he promised to give her more money for the last time? This is all SPECULTION on my part. Heard from BIL that a car matching the description of hers was seen earlier that morning."

This family has been painted in a bad light for so long it must be a shock to the system to see something they did do to help someone else out.

I cant quite figure out what a kidney donation years ago has to do with the disappearance of an 81 year old man.

We definitely agree there. A lot of research has been done across the boards and yet it still hasnt yielded Bob.

Time for someone to come clean, but I am fast losing hope that anyone who knows about this terrible deed will have the courage and the conscience to step forward.
