Sorry, no idea why it came up in a posh box like that - wasn't trying to be ostentatious.

Sorry, last post about this but...the airport is operated by the United States Air Force. Wonder if they would be sympathetic to the case of a missing marine vet?
ETA: like in asking the photographer about any other pics that day.

It's wiki. They post like that here. I don't know why they post with the box versus just a link, but it is not anything you did.

I'm local to SP's case. They've been out there searching for 3 days. Today was day 3.

Sorry, sorry, sorry, O/T but I'm so excited!

I was getting pulled away by the Emilee Irsik case because she disappeared in Germany and I felt obliged to help as I live there. It was making me a bit sad though because I came here to find Bob. And there was no cloudajo so I was doing links, many in a foreign language - can you imagine the chaos?

And she was found today!!!!!!!Had strolled round Germany oblivious to the fact all of Kansas was mobilised to find her, and her family were 'a little' worried she had left the US for the FIRST time without even thinking to tell them.......kids uh?

So, I like this finding thing anyway.......... and I've made a list of people I want to find next:

BOB HARROD.

I've tried to invite (subtly) all those posters over here. Don't even know if that's allowed, but it's too late now, I've done it. Hope I don't get in trouble, but Bob needs all the help he can get, so.....oh, and I got congratulations on my links there, and I've given full credit where it's due.....cloudajo taught me all I know!

So, back to Bob.
believe09, do you think it is worth contacting the UK's Daily Mail? Their mailonline site has a huge US following and they do run these stories frequently (Brittney Woods' case is one that pops up often) but it seems to me they often run the stories restrospectively - after US *local/national media has got all the angles.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, because they often come up with a more comprehensive article - but in this case all the angles are already out there. A tip off now about 'Disappeared' might enable them to come up with something in-depth, at exactly the right time. IMO, that's what Bob's case needs; in-depth at least, but, in a wishes-come-true-world, a good, investigative journalist on the case for months. Like the whole of England, they are also obsessed with property....they would looooove that stuff if they were made aware.

After all this, you're probably going to tell me you've already done it in one neat, understated line. Well, I won't mind!

I've just looked at the Placentia Police Dept website. On Bob's flyer it says to contact Det Loomis or Srgt Millsap with any information. But isn't it Det Radomski now?

Also, they only seem to have one missing person, and that's Bob. I would have thought......maybe it's difficult, there's a system in place and so on (I know all about that here) but............on the missing persons page, when you click you get a tiny pic of Bob and no info at all. The info is on the 'download flyer' link beside it. What if someone wants to know more but doesn't want a flyer or doesn't realize more info would be on there (people like me!!). Couldn't all the details be posted beside his pic, on the first page?

I think Bob deserves a whole page, just to himself, on their website. Especially if he's their only missing person. JMHO.

I would love to see Bob's case on the Daily Mail.

All media is good when we are talking about a missing person! Do you have a contact there zwiebel or should we follow the usual chain?

  • #474
No, but hang on because I think I know someone who does....

  • #475
Why do journalists always answer a question with a question? It's really annoying.

This is bringing back memories for me, and some of them might -just might - prove useful.

I'm getting bogged down here - can anyone direct me to a post of events as they happened, roughly?

  • #477
Oh, never mind, I'll find it myself.

Now, that sounds as though I'm irritated. Whereas in fact, I am just.....no I'm irritated. But not with anybody here ( or not here, should I say). Just myself, for not remembering dates properly. And I know I'm rabbiting on, but I did find Mr Harrod on page two and I'm never going to be content to write 'bumping for Bob' when I could write more............

You're not getting around it like that, Cubby - I definitely saw the word bump in that jam jar!

I am just wondering how long it might take for those found human remains to be identified. To be honest, I have a strong feeling it's not Bob. That's just a feeling nevertheless, so I would like to know. I suppose the time taken depends on the urgency of the case, and sadly, I don't believe there's anybody who thinks Bob's case is urgent now. I hope LE has a DNA sample from Bob available.
